I'd still probably make the text bigger but I guess it's fine as is. I love how you've put a small glint of the holo on the part this isn't meant to be holo, it looks really nice. And which blanks are these? Are these the ones that were just released by someone on dA or your own?

I would make the text bigger, but I don't have enough room. This is the only way I could fit all the text, unless I had used an expanded-text template (which I don't think the art would have worked as well on) or an English blank (I was wanting to play with my Japanese blanks, though). I could have arranged the Energy cost like the English cards, but I wanted to stay true to the Japanese layout (even though it's written in English).

The blanks are my own, based on the classic Japanese blanks. You can find them here (includes only Basic blanks).

I've really been wanting to make some printed fakes lately, but I'm out of black ink. After a bit of color experimentation, I managed to make a couple cards that looked decent while not containing any black at all (all the colors were made by mixing cyan, magenta, and yellow). This was one of them. However, I edited the contrast a bit in GIMP to make it look less dull on-screen (black areas were originally dark grey). Also added some holofoil digitally (printed version will have real foil, most likely).

I know the border is a bit too thick. I added extra for bleed in case I ever do get around to printing it. I want to wait until I have about 2 more cards made before I print anything. Now if only I can manage to draw something suitable...

That's a really cool card! Lovin the artwork!

If you want any suggestions, I would like to see you try a Regular EX Pokemon, I haven't seen you do one of those in a while.

I've made a couple Full-Arts, but I don't think I've ever made a regular Pokémon EX. My art style (lolwhat?) doesn't really suit them. I'm not good with 3D artwork, which is what works best for Pokémon EX. Like I've said before, I don't really like making fakes unless I make the artwork myself (occasionally I get inspired to use other artwork, but that's incredibly rare), so I just don't make them. If I ever do manage to make some nice 3D-ish Pokémon artwork, I'll give it a try.

Love that blank Neko + the illus. The only issue I have with it, is the right hand part of the 'R' that touches the red border - it makes it less 3D-like if you get my meaning.

Should there be a gap, showing some of the black background (as per the left) ?

It originally did have a gap, but it looked really odd. I moved the R down and right a bit to align the leg with the border so it looked like it was connected, which I thought gave it a more interesting look (though unfaithful to the actual crest).

Hold on a sec and I'll try changing it back...

UPDATE: Modified my Dark Trainer blank to have "Team Rocket" instead of "Trainer" written at the top. I might do this to the Rocket's Crest card as well, eventually.

I don't make sets. I just make random cards (hence the thread name). Sometimes I make multiple cards from an imaginary set, but never an entire fake set. I once planned to make a set based on my Gym Leader OC, but I never got around to it.

I'm thinking about printing this as a jumbo holographic card. I'm out of black ink, so the text will have to be a dark grey made from a mixture of cyan, magenta, and yellow. I don't know how well that will look in print, though.

UPDATE: His Doduo ran away and, while he was trying to catch it, he caught a Dunsparce instead. He was satisfied with the capture, so he gave up on Doduo. Now even Dunsparce is trying to get away from him!

A really tiny 'Sparce at that. It's the perfect Pokemon for Imakuni? though.
(Also love how his Doduo is right in the background like just turn around dude)
