Neo Miasma Sun - HGSS-on [Leafeon, Espeon Prime, Roserade and Houndoom Prime]

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

Yeah, I forgot about the switches and the warp points. I'll swap 'em for 2 Unown Q and I'll have 1 space for anything... maybe a warp energy.

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

-2 Cynthia's Guidance
-1 Burned Tower
-1 Psychic Energy
-1 Grass Energy
-1 Unown RETURN
-1 Copycat
-2 PETM
-2 Switch
-1 Warp Point

+4 Rescue Energy
+1 Uxie
+1 Azelf
+3 Seeker
+2 Unown Q
+1 Cyrus's Conspiracy

Well... it's time to get all those cards! lol

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

Yup! Well...that's what it's all about in the end I guess.

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

Of course it is. That's how TCG works!

BTW, I've been testing it over and over, and it's working well. The con is that it'll be hard to obtain those cards because everyone wants them.

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

UPDATED DECKLIST

I've found proxies of Rescue Energy in my room, so... I decided to make the first changes. I have 3 proxies, so I still need another one.
About Uxie, I have already one, but it's in my girlfriend's deck =_= so I'll have to ask her to get another one xD

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

UPDATED DECKLIST

I know Pokemunkulys, I'm still running PETM, but I don't find any Cyrus's Conspiracy! D:

Also, I have a question: Why is not worth playing it? Because it searchs an Evolution Pokémon, so I want to hear an explanation...

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

Since this deck doesn't hit the bench, what will you do about Umbreon..?

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

Er... use a Leafeon without Lv. X? If you're talking about Umbreon MD, it's attack effect ignores damage from pokemon that has pokepowers of pokebodies. That means that my strategy doesn't have to be changed. I only need a Leafeon not leveled up.

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

You play a card because it is the best card for your deck. Can you really afford to include any card that isn't the best? Professor Elm's Training Method is a sub-par card, which means it isn't on the level of meta cards. Why? Bebe's Search is strictly better. STRICTLY better. Yes, Bebe's Search makes you put a card in your deck, but that is a small price to pay, compared to the inability to get an Uxie or Unown Q to save your butt with a Bebe's Search. Sure, PETM does stuff, but there is always another card that you would rather have in your hand at a given time than it, so it isn't worth playing.

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

OK, thanks for the explanation :) Like I said before, I'm still searching Cyrus's Conspiracy. It's a hard task.

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

bump

Ermm... I know that this is not the correct place to ask, but the format rotation would be RR-on?

Also, I'll update the decklist when I get those cyrus..

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

RR-on is what is expected. It would seem weird to remove part but not all of the SP engine, but we had Holon Phantoms-on when we removed Legend Maker and Delta Species, so we remove part but not all of the Delta engine, and the most common set rotation number is 4 (Not counting outliers like two years ago. You will, however, notice that last year DP - GE were removed, or four sets).

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

Yeah, you're right. I was asking about the set rotation because of my decklist, but then I realized that the set rotation is in september, so I have no worries at the moment.

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

I've been playing with this deck for a few months now and i'm still not completely satisfied but here's my current list:

pokes
2-2-2 leafeon cl - leafeon lv x
2-2 roserade ul
2-2 sunflora gs
2-2 magmortar sv
1-1 uxie
1 Azelf

trainers
4 bebes
3 bts
3 expert belts
1 looker
1 luxury ball
1 palmers
3 collector
4 seeker
4 ssu
2 warp point

Energy
5 grass
4 rainbow
4 rescue

things to note:
because leafeon only needs that one energy.. it's easily scoopable and i don't see why you wouldn't run scoops/seekers :)

With the scoops in there, i've noticed that magmortar is actually more consistant than roserade. It's also nice because you aren't relying on roserade. When i see your decklist i can see why you need interviewers, because you need roserade to poison otherwise leafeon'll only get 50s off. Personally i like the scoop strategy better, because you can heal leafeon more often ;)

Sunflora not only helps get roserade/ leafeons out there but if you need something to bebe's you can grab your spare sunkern and shuffle it away.

Things i've learned testing
i use as little trainers as i can without it hurting
Shaymin -- swapped him out for sunflora
3 bts is the way to go
don't really need a starter, in fact it's donked a few times
i never scoop uxie later in the game,(other things need scooping more) so lv x uxie was so worth it
Garchomp eats sunfloras
2-2-2 with rescues is more consistent than a 3-3-1 line
teching other eeveelutions is harder than running shaymin
Choosing grass or psychic energy is incredibly difficult
no pokes have 0 retreat cost.. either have to have eevee benched or lose roserades energys, unownQ? i'll need some convincing
If leafrade gets poke-power locked... it's doomed..beware of mesprit/shiftry/powerspray... infact every pokemon in my list has one , which makes gangar a serious threat 2hit sniping everything

-Magmortor burns and confuses, so a grass energy doesn't usually help, if i ran psycics it would be more consistant poison... but then leafeon couldnt use soothing scent in an emergency, and it couldn't use verdant dance on leafeon lv.X, which is better than resorting to roserade on the front line

Leafeon <3

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon, Espeon P., Blaziken & Roserade)

Hi Leafie :) let's see your opinion:

- Magmortar SV is NOT more consistent than playing Roserade. You need to Seeker/SSU al the time that you want to do 150 damage (and if you play against Vileplume you can't use SSU). It's a lot better Houndoom Prime or Blaziken PL for this deck. Believe me. I tested this deck with Magmortar, so I know when I tell you that Magmortar SV doesn't works (oh, and I run 3 Seekers, if yo didn't see it xD it works great for any deck, I know that). Also, you need a good tech against Steelix Prime, and Blaziken can do 200 to Steelix in 1 turn.
- You're doing fine using not too much trainers. I run only 3 Pokémon Communication, only because of Vileplume.
- Shaymin: it's a good tech (a friend of mine in pokebeach used it in this kind of deck), but only boosts Roserade and Leafeon's HP. And it's a space in the bench that you could use for another Leafeon, or anything else.
- I know that BTS are great, but I don't have even one xD
- Err... IMO in this deck is very useful a starter. A combo of Sableye and Smeargle do miracles.
- Sometimes I don't Seeker Uxie, also. Sometimes I don't need that space in the bench, but sometimes you have to do it, because it can be sniped by Garchomp C.
- Err... don't use Sunflora? Or at least run some beanch shielder, like Vespiqueen.
- 3-3-3/1 is better than 2-2-2/2. You have more Leafeons (that are your main attacker) for use, and with Rescue Energy you don't need 2 Leafeons Lv. X.
- It's hard to tech eeveelutions, except Espeon Prime, because is like building a Leafeon.
- Er.... no, it's not difficult choosing psychic or grass energies. It's very nive using both types because you can add two to Roserade with Leafeon Lv. X.
- Problems with the retreat cost? Use Unown Q, it's the best choice. I don't run them because I don't have.
- Seriously... you don't use Leafeon Lv. X's attack? When you have a lot of energies in Roserade you can add a grass energy to Leafeon and do a lot of damage without the special conditions.

- That why I say to you: Add grass energies! You can do a lot of things with those energies in this deck. Drop out Magmortar SV, it's not worth it.

Hope it helped!

RE: Eclipse (Leafeon Deck, Miasma Sun 2.0)

UPDATED DECKLIST

Changed some things:
-2 Sableye UD: I didn't used it, so it was almost useless in the deck. Yeah, I know, now I need 4 Sableye. xD
-1 Grass Energy: Needed space.

+1 Unown Q: Finally I got it (at least one)! Used for retreat Sableye.
+1 Umbreon MD: VERY useful against Charizard decks. You can also use it if you start with Eevee and you don't want to discard an energy for retreat it (and it gets stored for Verdant Dance later).
+2 Twins: Again, VERY useful for build up if you get your Sableye KO'd.
+1 Pokémon Contest Hall: Used for set up. I'll change it soon, don't worry (maybe for a Palmer's Contribution).
+2 Energy Exchanger: VERY useful when you need Rescue or Rainbow and you have only basic energies in your hand (I used it a lot of times)

The deck is working great. Yesterday I won against a Magnerock 6-1. 150 damage since the third turn!
And I lost, again, against a Steelix Prime. It was Rainbow Energies's fault, I used two Interviewer Questions and there wasn't there. But I was able to build everything in three turns, so I'm happy (also, I was able to build Blaziken with its rainbows, but when I did, the time of the round expired :/). At least I was able to KO one of those Steelix.

RE: Miasma Sun (Leafeon Deck, Miasma Sun 3.0) HGSS-on

Bump and updated decklist.

OK, since it will be possible that the rotation would take place on June, I want to make the changes before of that date (I'm still using the old decklist that is working great).

Please, comment/suggest anything. I need help.
