What I don't like about the changes is that we only received 3 new series (if I'm not mistaken) and they are taking away 5.

Change is fine, but I think they are going about it too fast and is driven more by money than anything else.

I like this new format.

It is getting rid of all the uber-broken cards.

So. It is good. And it will make most people use originality.

Or...Just make Infernape overplayed

CG came AFTER the start of the format. So I do believe we got 4 as in each year - CG/DF/PK/DP.

I really wonder what new decks will come since metanite, bandoom, destiny, electinite, eevelutions and many more decks that i don't feel like thinking of.
some i've seen so far are
1. inferncatty
2. champcario( i play it)
3. flygon ex d

^Prolly someone will a make a New Destiny, and call it Fortune or Victory (or something) =P. Blazinape, Dosidon Decks, Luxray Decks, Lati@s, Queen's (yes, prepare for it =P), Empoleon Lv. X Decks, Rogues, Lucario/Machamp, Snorlax DP, Flyqueen, FFF, Quaza Swarm and Blaking (lol, Blaziken version of Draking =P) to name a Few

Anyway, i don't really like the next Format, but atleast we get to keep HP. And i'm very happy with that

The only thing I'm surprised about is that they are getting rid of Legend Maker.  I, like a couple others here, figured Delta Species was going out, but I wasn't expecting Legend Maker to go with it.  Guess they really want to shift the format to D/P as quickly as they possibly can, and from a business perspective, I understand why.  They practically nixed the holon engine (with Mentor being the only survivor) and the all-powerful Mew ex (LM) will be laid to rest after seeing two years of competitive play.

Dragon Frontiers still remains a pretty powerful set, but EX cards have certainly lost a bit of their luster with the new more powerful D/P Pokemon coming out.  Delta decks, save a few, are practically useless now, which is sort of nice since they've been metagamed for two years now.

I'm pretty much done with competitive play for now, but I know I will certainly miss some of those cards they are rotating out.  But that adds to the challenge of finding new decks to play with.  We survived losing Pidgeot from FRLG, we can survive losing the Holon Engine.

Mentor Likes a Adventurer =).
