Hi everyone

There are some Abilities that I'd quite like to see, such as in a Sunny route if you had a Kyogre it changed to Rainy, and likewise with Groudon.

For In-Battle, I'd like more Pokemon to have Adaptability. The only Pokemon that can only use to good extent is Porygon-Z. I'd like something that acts as a Leftovers- kind of like Rain Dish but with way more Pokemon. I'd like something that would act for both of one's Pokemon's types. I'd also like something that show when an Ability boosts attack, like in PMD2.

What are your wants? Post them here!

(Also I can see that Hihidaruma will be amazing in Doubles with things like Draco Meteor, and Outrage/Petal Dance etc....)

I completely agree with you! This stuff would be awesome to see in the 5th gen, including something like.... maybe items that can change the weather status?

Nooope. It's ability doesn't mean effects like that. They're primary effects - because the confusion / attack drop / whatever will always happen if they work. It means moves like Bite won't cause flinch, Flamethrower won't burn, Ominous Wind won't boost your stats, etc. Moves like Will-o-wisp and Thunder Wave will remain the same though, because they have no added effects.

[Edit] Wait....I don't think this has been confirmed. But a lot of people are saying it is this way. I may be incorrect.

I'd like to see more stuff to counter the Intimidate ability. Not many Pokemon have hyper cutter. Perhaps there could be variations, which decrease other enemy stats? Or an ability which provides a sort of "automatic Rapid Spin" effect upon switching in. Intimidate is going to be chaotic in triple battles.

:D Quick draw! Quick Draw is an in-battle ability... Pretty much the Pokemon has a 50% chance of make the first move in battle if it's not the fastest one on the battle field.

Pure Soul: Taunt effects do not work on this pokemon
Normal pokemon with infine weather summoning (Non uber pokemon that'd be easier for weather teams)

One-Shot - One Hit KO's never miss
Negative Reverse - Reverses the effects of a status changer (swagger lowers attack, growl raises it, etc.)
Dragonsoul - Raises Dragon attacks by 1.5 when HP is low
Shield breaker - Similar to intimidate but with defence
Megahelm - Sharply raises defence and sp. defence when hp is low

I'm sorry but thats a pretty bad idea.
If a pokemon were to have this "One-Shot" ability
you could get through the entire game with a choice scarf and a couple of ethers.

Dragonsoul - Raises Dragon attacks by 1.5 when HP is low
That would be bad too.
+1 Salamence/Kingdra/Garchomp whatever could sweep entire teams with stab dragon attacks and max atk
I think we should have an ability called
Kind Soul: Immune to taunt

I just wanna point out that i hope the starters have different abilities than Torrent, Overgrow, and Blaze. Seriously, that's getting old. Maybe the starters will have something like this:

Grass starter = fire attacks do less damage - HEATPROOF

Water starter = Grass attacks do less damage (Not sure what it should be called...)

Fire starter - water attacks do less damage - WATERPROOF

It's already been confirmed that they are using those.

A Volt Absorb, Water Absorb, Flare Absorb, etc. for every type there is.
Unforgivable Curse: Deals a little bit of damage to the defending Pokemon in between turns (The amount Leftovers heals)(Banned in Double Battles)
More Pokemon with Mold Breaker.
Absorb: The amount of damage removed from a healing item is done to the defending Pokemon.
Pointed Body: (Like STEALTH ROCK, but an ability)
More Pokemon with Rough Skin.
Adaptation: After a turn of being affected by a weather condition, the Pokemon with Adaptation no longer is affected by the negative effects of the weather condition. (The effect ends when the battle ends)
@ paddy185, yes, more adaptability.
@ Garitter, Quick Draw sounds awesome!

Dragon Aura for Non-dragon types that look like a dragon pokemon.

Dragon Aura: All dragon-type attacks do 50% more damage. It's like stab.

Soulless/No Soul: Cannot be affected by Destiny bond or Perish song.

Evade - Pokemon avoids all Entry Hazards

Gale Force - Removes Entry Hazards when switched in.

Supreme Guard - Pokemon takes no damage when switched into an attack. Only works on the switch-in. Status attacks hit 100%.

Frostbite - Pokemon has 30% of lowering foe's speed when hit with a physical attack.

Forcefield - All attacks drop one stage in effectiveness against the pokemon up to 1/4x stage. (Limited to pokemon with many weaknesses, like Grass/Psychic.)

Solar Panel - Grass types don't effect this Pokemon. Instead it boosts the power of the user's grass-type moves; Requires only one turn to use Solarbeam.

Attracting Aroma - If it is the lead pokemon the chance of encountering a grass pokemon in the wild is doubled; Lowers foe's evasiveness in battle

Grand Catcher - the chance of catching a wild pokemon while this pokemon is in battle is 1.5x greater.

Mentally Aware - Lets you see a random move the foe has.

Electric Conducter - If you have a pokemon on your team, the power of its electric attacks are doubled.

Trickster- Takes the enemies upgrades and makes it their own. (Trickster pokemon would take +2 speed from an agility using pokemon), however the downside is, it can also take status. (Burn, paralyze, sleep, etc.)

Aurora: summons random weather when this pokemon is drawn out.

De-synchronize: reflects the status back when hit by a status move.

Absolute Zero*: When Hail is out in the field, fire attacks only do 50% damage.

secondary effect*:Hail cannot be overwritten by sandstorm while the pokemon with this ability is on the field.
