I'd have to disagree actually. I took a long break between Platinum- Boundaries Crossed, and when I returned and saw the game had turned into trying to deal 180+ damage a turn as fast as possible, I was extremely happy. I prefer this to trying to 2HKO or even 3HKO your opponent.Luispipe8 said:About Healing Raiment (try to say that 10 times very fast), I think that it's a nice gimmick, but not ground-breaking.
And Trevor, being a "reprint" of Celio's Network, confirms a bit more a theory of mine: TPCi is trying to slow down the game. Slowly, but surely. I'm looking forward to the XY-On Format, so the game can go back to a more slow paced game.

Most decks are comprised primarily of basics, and in the few that aren't, usually your primary concern is getting out your basics anyways, with Ultra Balls being more than good enough to carry in the rest. It may still see play, though. Who knows.
And I don't predict Healing Raiment (how do you pronounce that?) to be that broken in Rain Dance decks, in the same way that max potion is not that broken in Energy Trans decks. It takes space to use, prevents your Pokemon from holding other tools, and fails to do anything against OHKO's. It might serve as a tech, but I don't see it changing the format.
Blui said:Uh...Max Potion is broken in Energy Trans decks. Have you ever played [against] one? Also this card would be interesting in Rain Dance as their primary goal is to score OHKOs (Rayquaza, Black Kyurem, ect.)
Luispipe8 said:. If you remember DPPt, Stage decks like Gardevoir/Gallade and VileGar were extremely dominant. I'd like to see more of this happening nowadays, but the most we've gotten was Empoleon/Dusknoir/Miltank winning the Senior US Nationals.
Or at least trying to fix it. I'm still probably not even thinking about competitively using a Stage 2 until next season. Unless they come out with some weird Team Flare items that let you ignore the lock effect. Come to think of it... that'd be awesome.ShadowMoses05 said:I like that TCPi seems to be fixing something that they might've unintentionally broke in terms of item lock.

Considering Healing Raiment only activates for attachments from the hand, and Metal's primary acceleration will be from the discard via Bronzong, this isn't really much of a wombo combo. The deck definitely needs Muscle Band more to improve its otherwise lackluster damage output.
