i dont want a repeat of flint in dp. i didnt even know he was a fire type trainer. because of the 2 species of fire types available in dp, i thought he was multityped

and he calls himself a fire trainer exactly what the problem was. he didnt deserve to call himself a fire trainer

Ontopic: I agree with having Double/Triple Battles in the E4. Maybe Cheren and Belle will team up with you and you will go through the Pokemon League together(added with the anime league, this would be AMAZING!!!)

^ik that it changed in pt. and i think that a triple battle with belle and cheren will heppen, but i dont think it will be in the e4

the league is for one person at a time. its to test your growth as a trainer and all that.
another trainer would have gon before or after you. would it really be fair for a 3 on 1? tate and liza got away with it beacuse they are twins and the evil team is just mean.

if the pokemon league is anime based then it should be like
u go through 5 random trainers in a tournement
If u win the tourn u go to the E4 but if u lose u have to start the ourn again and pretend like it never happened.
if u make it to the E$ and lose u start from E4 1 again

A tournament of 16 trainers. You win and you advance to the group of 8, then the semifinals and then the finals. And you would battle a different person each time you did it.
Then, if you complete that:
Elite 4 #1: Single battle.
#2: Double Battle.
#3 Triple Battle.
#4 Rotation Battle.
Champion: Single battle.

^I agree with that. What if the E4 EV Train their Pokemon? It would make them harder, and people who cheat have more of a challenge!
