New Rotation Information?

I'm looking everywhere left and right, i don't know if platnum will be rotated, i mean, the sp engine will BREAK, and RR and SV will be mostly useless, has pokemon USA said something?

Last time 4 sets will be rotated, but im thinking that just SF, LA, and MD will be this time
 
It is FAR too early to tell. I'm guessing we're seeing RR-on. PUI doesn't care about what they have and what they don't. We saw a split-up of Delta sets way-back-when. We lost DS, but kept some other holon sets. A split up of SP won't be much of a suprrise. I'm actually hoping we see HGSS-on. That would mean it would be VERY easy to move to BW-on. Wait until... June or July.

HGSS on would SUCK, thats only like 5 sets to work with by the time we get there
 
Well how do you think Japan feels since it's their current format right now? They're not as lucky as we are where we have access to a huge card pool to build decks off of.
 
Well, the way I see it is...
A) PUSA said they're rotating 4 sets per year
B) Black and White is the new "base set"
C)
1) This year's rotation would be: MD, LA, SF, PL
2) Next year's: RR, SV, AR, HGSS
3) The following's: UL, UD, TM, Call of Legends
D) That would start at B&W-on 3 years from now

Opinions?
 
One of my friends think next Season's format should be Platinum-On but I disagree with her being that it would make the format as stale competitively as it is now with SP decks while at the same time we lose key cards from that set that could help us for next season depending on what gets reprinted and what doesn't.
 
I wouldn't like Platinum-on. You've got some good stuff (Uxie) you're losing there, and SPs get stronger...
Personally, I would like HGSS-on. But I'm not so sure it's going to happen.
It's definitely to early to tell, though. If I had to guess, I'd say RR-on is going to happen.

Welcome to the game kidlet. The game is returning to the EX rules (if you didn't already notice). That is how we played EX... we'd rotate all but 4-5. I wouldn't be surprised if we return to that... especially with the surprise no rotation last year. I would say we'll go RR-on, HGSS-on, and then DP-on, but I wouldn't like it >.< We have way too many sets in the rotation atm, and the rotation should hopefully fix that. But yeah... I also wouldn't be surprised if we just continue the 4 set rotation
 
If the format is RR-on, that would kill SP decks, not to mention DialgaChomp. I hope it is just HGSS on, then Magnegatr and Jumpluff would be top decks, along with Lostgar if Lost World comes out.

That would probably be the most interesting meta ever. I don't think it'll kill SP outright, BUT their speed will be practically quartered, since all they have left is SP Radar in terms of support. I think Luxray GL and Garchomp C would probably still stick around the format because they're still both potent even outside SP decks.

I've got a feeling that the meta will be B/W on (don't ask me how), and if not that then HGSS-on. I just hope they'll reprint Roseanne's or at least Mr. Stone's (or something like it) in an upcoming set. We cannot survive with Interviewer's. We just can't.
 
We cannot survive without BTS. It's gonna be really difficult, at least. Fingers crossed for a reprint!!!
 
I root for HGSS on. Yes, I will miss Bebe's and BTS, but I'll survive. We shouldn't be afraind of change, and rotating these sets will help us move on. Platinum and on would bite, I either want all SP's or no SP's, not half in and half out.
 
I would like the Rotation if it was PL-on. At least the cards would be valuable enough to still be played. Along with everything else. HG/SS-on the next year will then also be perfect.

I want RR, and from the pattern that's happening, I wouldn't too surprised to see RR on. crm103top08 makes a good point. Much like with DP and the EX series, DP came out in Spring. When the 07/08 rotation happened, it was pretty much DP-on. If BW is coming out in Spring, we could see that the Spring set stays in for that rotation. It follows the pattern, so RR-on is still there.

@Scizorliscious: No BTS is fine. Before Platinum was released, players were able to still work around the lack of a card like that with Rare Candy. Spiritomb will just be played more, and donk decks will have a speed cut.

That can happen right now in the Format. Moot point. Plus, we don't even know everything that will be released from now until then.

^Albeit, in this format, the chances of that are half of if it was done in the new format. B/W permits Trainers on the first turn, right now we can't.
