That's...so bittersweet. It's probably genuine too, which makes the fact that the browns won't do it even sadder.
 
Connor Barth, Tampa Bay's place kicker, is now out for the season after tearing his Achilles during a charity basketball game. That sucks.

With the injury, the Bucs will be looking toward the veteran Lawrence Tynes, former Giants kicker, to be responsible for place kicking duties.

I think the last sentence of that article says it best: "With the number of arrests seen this offseason involving NFL players it’s great to see a player getting in the news for the all the right reasons."
 
Dallas's D-line is already beat up.

They've lost Tyrone Crawford for the year to an Achilles, and Anthony Spencer had knee surgery and won't play during the pre-season.

Whelp another lost season for my Boys, I'll be surprised if they notch up another 8-8 season like they did last year.

Then again it's early so it's hard to tell who's the favorites is.
 
Poor Jerry Jones. He oversaw the building of a spectacular multimillion to billion dollar venue, but so far, there have been nothing but bitter memories to show for it for the Cowboys, having only played in one playoff game at Cowboys Stadium in its inaugural season, and they've been mediocre since. They had a chance this season contending in a weak division, but it appears as if the Giants or Redskins (especially now that RGIII is recovering from injury quicker than anticipated) will be the favorites to clinch the NFC East this season.
 
Jerry better start scouting really good QB talent the next couple of years, because it's going to be nothing but Top 10 drafting positions.

They need that offensive spark that Washington found in RGIII. They also need to scout out offensive line talent and defensive line talent to shore up their respective sides.

Because once the starter goes down, Dallas has a shallow backup pool at pretty much every position (except QB, RB, and maybe WR/TE.)

The thing is, Matt Ryan doesn't stink compared to Timmy Tebow. Sure, he's got one playoff win, but he's a better all-around QB.
 
Dallas Cowboys stadium will be named AT&T Stadium.

Blech, the name doesn't fit. I'd rather have it still be Cowboys Stadium, or they should've changed the name to honor Tom Landry and call it Tom Landry [Memorial?] Stadium.

I think that it can be. I've met someone who claims to be by choice. But I think that it's not true homosexuality. I think that homosexuality comes either naturally, personal experiences (even some that aren't remembered from young age), or choice, but like I said earlier it's not necessarily "true".

Sexuality is a rather strange thing in life. Scientists can 'explain' the 'genetics' behind it as much as they want to, but will not change my stance unless they find some purely solid non-circumstantial evidence for it.

My thoughts on this topic are that people can do whatever they want to do. I remember last year when gay people went to Chick-Fil-A's and they stationed police outside just because their Christian beliefs were against such a 'sinful' ideal. I don't care if people are gay or not, or what they do, just so long as they don't have to make such a large fuss over something that should not even be a problem in todays society. People are entitled to their own opinions, but when you don't recognize this as a part of life, whether they have a choice or not, then you have fallen as a human, but people nowadays don't care because they are too critical over the simple things of life.

And although I type this from my heart, my ancestor writ these words over 237 years ago: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." and even though it helped the U.S. gain its independence, our government eventually turned on this document many times. Slavery and the oppression of the black man for almost 2 more centuries; removal of native peoples from the lands that they lived on centuries before the colonization of America; failure to recognize women as 'official U.S. citizens' for so long; and now, where people are harassed based on their own sexual preferences.

It makes me sad how the nation that my ancestor helped build, todays society has done so much to shadow and/or oppress every problem that comes to our current governments' attention: "Oh, we have a massive debt?, brief me about in a couple of years, or better yet, leave it for the next President." We have national problems, and our government acts as if domestic issues are of no concern while we visit countries that nobody even knows about to make peace treaties.
 
Percy Harvin, Seahawks wide receiver, is reporting to have a partially torn labrum. It's possible he will require surgery, and miss a significant portion of the season in doing so. If the Hawks lose Harvin to surgery, it would be a huge absence for their offense; perhaps even more significant than the 49ers missing Crabtree, because of Harvin's explosive playmaking ability.

From what I have noticed, a lot of people go through a prolonged "questioning" phase. Which, depending on their situation may make them think they chose to be that way. It is probably because they have exposed themselves to something they may have not been paying much attention to before. With how much our hormones/body change with age, our sexual preferences may lay dormant or slowly awaken depending on genetics. This is just a theory, but I've met people who "experimented" with a guy and then went on to be straight or the other way around with a girl and said "no I'm gay". It could even happen much later in your life. I think it's kind of a process of discovering your preference, but at the same time I think it's always there. Sometimes people are very sure of it from the get go, some people question themselves for a long time, and some end up liking both sexes equally.
 
Geno Smith suffered an ankle injury in his first pre-season game. They don't believe the injury is serious, but it may cause him to miss precious playing time the rest of the preseason.

Absolutely not. I believe homosexuality stems from intense love for a person of the same sex as yourself. The phrase "falling head over heels in love" describes it perfectly, you can't help loving someone, you just do. A man doesn't chose to love his wife, he can't help but do so and vice versa. A friend of mine who is bisexual once told me that she sometimes wishes that she wasn't bisexual but she can't help but love her girlfriend. Men who think that megan fox is hot don't chose to think that, it's just natural to them. Homosexuals are the same way, being gay just comes naturally to them.
 
Dustin Keller's out for the season after suffering an injury in the Dolphins' pre-season game against the Detroit Lions.

Keller tore his ACL, MCL, PCL and also dislocated his knee.

Ouch.
