In addition to featuring nine different Professors, the ex Starter Deck Generations will also feature nine different Black Belt cards! Each of them has the same effect, but with different artwork.

They do know most of those Blackbelts had names? They could put them on the card like the professor's.

Actually why aren't we doing this for Hau/Hop/Friends in Paldea/Friends in Galar/Nemona?

Really? I thought the Blackbelts were just a generic trainer class in most of the games.

Looking at their arts, I suspect they are indeed based on SPECIFIC Blackbelts. Most of them are just random un-noteworthy route ones I think, though. Gen 1 and 8's are pretty identifiable at least. (Being the master of the Fighting Dojo, and the one in Hammerlocke in SWSH.) I might get bored and name them all at some point, seems kinda fun.

This effect is actually pretty decent. Might see play as a 1-of in the same vein as Kieran when the extra 10 damage is significant (such as using Blood Moon against Regidrago or Palkia), otherwise the versatility of being able to use a switch might be preferred. It’s nice that we have the choice

That's actually kinda cool not gonna lie, each design is based off their respective generation.

No clue like those 9 researchers how they'll distrubute these in the US if at all.
9 is indeed a lot. I could see 2 in main sets, 1-2 in some battle deck/trainer toolkit, etc. and 1-2 in some collection box together with some ex and another Pokémon like they had in the Roaring Moon/Iron Valiant boxes. But even then, there are 3-5 left. Some maybe we won't see all of them.

Idk how nobody has mentioned this but all of their poses are directly based off of the in game battle sprites for all of them, which I find especially impressive how big of a difference the gen 1 and 2 ones look considering we haven't seen these specific black belts for years and years, just looking at the bulbapedia page you can see all of their poses line up with the respective artwork, which I thought was pretty awesome
