BW/BW2 Odd number pattern in Generations?

Yeah... have you? Cause in every odd numbered generation, there have been several speices of animals and others used, just like Krabby (gen 1) and Corphish (gen 3). Maybe they're not exactly based on the same ANIMAL or even SPEICES, but they defently have something incommon... other things has also only appeared in odd numbered!

So if they still goes this system, in this gen we will see:

- Another "crab" alike Pokemon (gen 1 and 3 had Krabby and Corphish)

- A mussel Pokemon (gen 1 and 3 had Shellder and Clamperl)

- More Pokemon lines with 3 stages (gen 2 and 4 had more 2 staged lines)

- ★ (Gochiruzeru) A humanoid Pokemon (gen 1 and 3 had Jynx and Gardevoir)

- Pokemon(s) based on seals (gen 1 and 3 had Seel and Spheal)

- Not something so big, but a Pokemon with mushroom details (gen 1 and 3 had Paras/Parasect and Swoomish)

- ★ We got the first caterpillar confirmed... A butterfly Pokemon line (gen 1 and 3 had Butterfree-line and Beautifly-line)

- Not somthing likely, I think they're just rivals, but a fish to big "hydra" 2 staged line (gen 1 and 3 had Magikarp/Gyarados and Feebas/Milotic)

- A snake Pokemon (or more) (gen 1 and 2 had Ekans/Arbok and Seviper)

- Maybe or maybe not two fossil Pokemon (we saw in gen 4 too, but we didn't in gen 2, but both of the odd numbered gen had)

- There will be at least over 104 new Pokemon (gen 1 had 151, gen 2 had 100, gen 3 had 135 and gen 4 had 107)

- Two 3-staged line with version exclusive to both (gen 1 had Bellsprout line and Oddish line, gen 3 had Seedot line and Lotad line)

- If there is going to be Eevee evolutions, there will be 2 and one of them is weak toward the other (Glacieon>Leafeon and Espeon>Umbreon) Could be Flying>Fighting?? :b

★ = already been seen/"confirmed"

Remember that these are only facts, if GF actually follows this system ;b

RE: Noticed the odd numbers?

These are all very true!

Also, the fact that both Gen 1 and 3 had around about 150 pokemon, while Gen 2 and 4 had about 100. (Feel free to correct me if wrong)

RE: Noticed the odd numbers?

You stumbled upon something very interesting my good sir and i would love a new crab Pokemon.

Omg forgot about this! Just added to the main post :3
"We will have at least over 104 new Pokemon"

RE: Noticed the odd numbers?

I personally don't think that the fact that we happened to get a crab Pokemon in Generations 1 and 3 means that we'll be getting one this generation. It's likely that this is all coincidence.

RE: Noticed the odd numbers?

I'm not saying these things WILL happen, but because they only happened in the odd numbered gens (1 and 3), they could possible happen again... its just a good and fun thing to speculate about 8D

RE: Noticed the odd numbers?

3rd gen was kind of a reboot for Pokémon. The games were not compatible with the previous ones, which is one of the reasons I think they reused a lot of animals. Either that or it's a coincidence.

So no, I don't think a lot of these are gonna happen.

RE: Noticed the odd numbers?

i agree with your view on this but milotic was to be gyrados's opposite
bulbapedia states:
in many ways, Milotic is the Hoenn counterpart of Kanto's Gyarados. Both are the evolved forms of incredibly weak fish Pokémon, and both appear in times of conflict, Milotic to becalm, Gyarados to destroy. Both have base stat totals of 540, the only difference being the distribution of their stats: Milotic is more defensively based while Gyarados is more offensively based.

* It is also possible it is meant to be a contest version of Gyarados - because Gyarados was introduced in the first generation, and Milotic was introduced in the first generation with Pokémon contests. This is fortified by Milotic's emphasis being on its beauty, while Gyarados' emphasis is on its power.
* Milotic has the greatest increase of its base stat total of any Pokémon compared to its prevolution, an increase of 340 points. It shares this distinction with Gyarados.

please correct if wrong

Gen I: Oddish line and Bellsprout line
Gen III: Seedot line and Lotad line

the poison bags line

Gen I: Grimer and Muk
Gen III: Gulpin and Swalot
