Official States Discussion Thread

^^ Wow, impressive. I didn't even think that it would do good. I guess I was wrong, :O
 
i have read two reports (one states the other Battle roayl) and neither of them mentioned Ramaprdos or even seeing it. I guess it isn't as popular as everyone thought. We'll just have to see in two weeks if this time i see one.

What's popular? If Ramapardos isn't, what is?
 
Porygon is actually really good. With the Lv X and Claydol in play, pick two cards you want and you have them. This makes it really easy to stack TM's and deal ridiculous damage for two energy. Marleys can get you tools from the discard and Porygon2 let's you use multiple supporters each turn (so I could use a Marley's and a Bebe's for example). It's a pretty cool deck.
 
^^ Nice. I wish they didn't only have to come from the Blister packs...

I am suprised about not many people seeing Rampardos. I would think there is at least one at every States.

Yeah, it's a real shocker...I may not like it, but it is a decent deck. Maybe the people who were going to run Rampy were afraid of people trying to counter it? I dunno...my States is this Saturday so I'll see then...

Ya same here. I think I am going to run it, but I don't know. For me it is between Rampardos and T-Tar. I think I will use Rampardos but I am not sure. Anyone have a prefference on wich deck?
 
if you are in seniors... use rampardos.. might have a chance...
masters... won't get past round 2 undefeated.
 
Okay, that is good because I am in Seniors. :)

Over all it preforms good and it sutts down T-Tar, so that is prabably what I am going to do.
 
If I would have had my deck finished, I would be running my Fire Sniper deck. That way, I could get rid of any plans of setting up Uxie, Dusknoir, or Banette.

I would run TTar, but I'm partial to Dark types. :D

If you're worried about how well you perform, go Rampy. Who knows? You may be the only one. ;)
 
^^ True dat! My arch rival will most likely be playing Kingdra and so I am worried about using T-Tar, and Rampardos is really fast so I think I will beat him a few times finnally! lol

Lol, I know the feeling. I have never beaten this one guy in my area....I can see him running Rampy or Galactic's Toolbox...

If that is the case, then definitely go with Rampy. Play to win, in this case. :D
 
^^ Thats right! I am trying to win States (well we all are...) so that I can go to Nats. I want to get to worlds this year but we will see how it turns out I guess. In States, I want to just donk the heck out of the really good players (besides myself of course, lol) to show them I am not messing around.

Hopefully I'll Top Cut like I did last year...chances are slim. Maybe if I catch everyone by surprise with Cap'n Crunch. \o/

how come no one likes the team galactic deck, i think its really fast and can set up well

Cuz most SP pokes have low HP. Almost everything can OHKO all SP pokes, excluding Dialga and Palkia.
 
^^ On the other hand, they do have insaine support with all of the Team Galactics tools and stuff. However they do have very low HP and stuff like Rampardos can 1HKO every Pokemon in the deck basically with one Pluspower.

A lot of pokes can OHKO all SPs (excluding the Legendaries), especially with Plus Powers

-Drapion (either heads on Tri-Poison or a few Special Darks
-Regigigas
-Kingdra (Aqua Stream)
-Machamp
-Blaziken PT
-Infernape PT

Etc, etc.
