Official States Discussion Thread

^almost every SP deck runs snowpoint so... kingdra needs 11 energy to OHKO ;/ blaze can't OHKO without a tails from burn flip, regi can't OHKO without pluspower, drapion needs a heads on triple poison to OHKO, machamp needs like 4 heads on hurricane punch to OHKO. (toxicroak body-unown G) so maybe think of some 110 damagers?

these are my potential decks for states i already posted a thread but apparently that was the wrong choice

1.skymin and shedninja 2.skymin sp damage aid shaymin crobat g skunktank g and xatu

Have you ever heard of counter stadiums? -_-

I would go with your first option. I am unfamiliar with the stratigy, but I would go with that because of all of the basics decks runing around, multiple copies of cards will be in play, and then you can use Shedanijas power to your advantage.

Regigigas is my choice. I love being able to T2 100 damage. I'm able to get it frequently. I'm only worried about Rampy and G&G, I should be fine though. Good luck to everyone who is going to States/Provs! (Except those who are going to Alberta ones, LOL(with the exception of Dr. E and Aron Trainer.)

yes... kingdra runs 0-2 (speed stadium) blaze runs 1-3 (only one that could be dangerous), regi runs snowpoint... drapion has 1-2 stadiums (moonlight) and machamp doesn't play it.. so most won't get the counter when they need it. on a side note, i think dialga G LV.X is good, counter SP's and many other things while hitting 70-80 damage+poison.

Have you ever heard of Kingdra running BTS? Well, good list that has the room plays BTS in its list. BTS lets Kingdra swarm like mad.

It is also not that hard to do 110 damage, unless you are playing something like Rampardos or Machamp. Kingdra can easily get 11 energy in the discard, Blaziken runs Heatran which allows it do 100 and the 20 burn....wait, that's 120 damage. 120 > 110. Some Regigigas might run PlusPower for Toxitank especially, and can also help ensure a 2HKO with Gigaton Punch (against 130HP decks), if they can't Giga Blaster.

As for other decks, I'm not sure, but those decks that I listed can pull off OHKOs a couple times during a game, which gives them prizes more quickly. The quicker you get prizes, the better your odds of winning are.

...what? That statement made noooo sense. Dialga G Lv. X shuts down all bodies except for SP pokemon bodies, and hits for 80 with a chance at moving energies to the lost zone. >.>

Dialga G also resists Toxicroak G and Skuntank G / Psychic Pokémon by 20, and cannot be poisoned. Therefor, it counters it. =p

That makes sense, but I still don't get that last bit. >.>

I guess I'll say it again... Dialga g can get a t1 trainer lock on opponent and then a t2 70 damage with strike+crobst. It also has 20 resist and is so so nothing in toxitank can hurt it. Plus you have special metals.

GG is still a great deck and people should start to play it again with Diagla G lvx to stop your oppenets poke-power and body game.

^^ I always thought of that deck as "crippled for ever" because of the loss of one of the most important cards in that deck... Double Rainbow energy. It can still be good, but no where near as good as it was.

another Great Rogue idea remeber when Bellosom was an Ok card but its low Hp let it down. Well with Shaymin lvX it is pretty decent 60+ damage from T2 you could also do 30 damage T1 and Vileplume against those decks that revolve around there Trainer line.

Well, the faves I have to win are the ones I will or will not be playing:

-Torterrible
-Dusknoir X

I think Torterrible can OHKO any rampardos with 2 energy and that is very helpful with rampardos running around. It is fast (right list) and can deal serious damage while taking hits for up to 200 damage. And as people say DGLVX will OWN it, lies. You see, Forest murmurs. Use that, frenzy plant. Next turn Vigorous Dash, KO active and DGLVX!

Dusknoir is so forgotten. Once the LV X comes out, it is a machine that is virtually unstoppable, how it cycles back to the hand. The SF can draw and place MANY counters on the opponent's pokemon with 2 energy, and can prevent damage with his second attack. With Dialga G LVX, Rampardos is stopped by Night Spin...and so is torterrible (haz skillz to come back though) affected by DGlVX, Amphy lock, and all Poke Body based decks. With the right spread list, take the gold Dusknoir!

yea i considered dusknoir when searching for good decks for states.
and i still havent chosen what i want to play its down to rampy kingdra regigigas and Glock.lol

The big problem with Torterra is that is super slow IF you don't get out a Sceptile by like T2.

IMO Rampardos has a really good matchup against Dusknoir. All I can say is good luck trying to get Dialga G lv.x, 3 energy onto Dusknoir, and a second Dusknoir out by the 2nd turn. Otherwise, Rampardos has gocha.

Both are very good decks, but be wary...

no offense, but to naive the "NEW" dusknoir built with rotom as a starter makes it much faster, see you start with rotom getting t2 dusknoir, or felicities starting discarding enegys and attach them to dusknoir with rotom by my second turn i have a dusknoir with 3 energys so what rampardos i night spin you and what you gonna do now wait until get 3 energys on the pardos???
