I'm grateful that they're reducing the wait time to just twenty hours now. I usually don't have constant wi-fi access unless I'm at my local library, and their hours are sort of awkward. Waiting twenty-four hours usually meant having to skip a day because the place is open at different times on different days. This way I may be able to get in some DW time every day they're open instead of having to skip a day in-between (of course, that depends on whether or not I'm working the days they're open and if I can get to the library before it closes).

It'd be more convenient, yes, but I thought the point of having time restrictions was to prevent the website's server from becoming overtaxed or too busy. I've had a lot of problems trying to access some websites and forums in the past because just they had too much traffic all at one time.

That is only due to not having top of the line Bandwidth like Serebii Does XD. They have to have top of the line because of all the members they have. Same goes for Neoseeker XD.

Tiny update (not sure if this has been posted):
The birthday Togekiss is now available to people whose birthday is in May and June, due to the Global Link being down for the whole of June, so if you have a birthday in June and you want the Togekiss, get it now!
It has the moves:
Aura Sphere, Air Slash, Extremespeed and Present, and it has the ability Super Luck.

So yeah. The amount of people who visited then was probably HUGE. I'd wager it was at least an 8-digit number.
Yep, this is pretty much exactly why they do it. When Dream World was first accessed, so many people were accessing it at once that it crashed the servers. Thus, they had to limit activity to 1 hour per 24 hours to keep the servers going and not have an overload of traffic.Incinermyn said:

During the month of your birthday, log into Pokemon.com. Sometime near the start of the month (it's supposed to be spot on at the 1st, but I didn't receive mine until the 5th), you will receive a new message in your inbox. It'll be titled "Happy birthday from Pokemon!" or something to that effect.
Play the little video attached to the message, and Togekiss will be available as a Promotion. Then, go to the Global Link, log in, and go to Promotions to receive Togekiss. When you receive it there, Togekiss will be sent to your game next time you use Game Sync to wake your Pokemon up.

Wow... It looks great. GTS is back, as already known; looks cool. We can see Japanese competitions; interesting, a bit odd. Game cards are switchable without logging out! Nice!
But man, remixed music for the GTS, and a new twinge on the GBU. Whoa.

I love the updated version, but the formatting sucks. Also, I noticed that, for whatever reason, I'm not able to upload Kyurem to the DW anymore (I'd presume it's a lockout for the next games in the series, which would be kind of stupid since the first installment of the Black and White games still need to access the server to do anything on the DW).

BW have full access to the server; my Absol went up fine this morning. I think it's just Kyurem. But hey, you might have found something. Maybe uploading Kyurem to the Global Link will do something special.

You misunderstood me. I meant he can't be uploaded at all, or at least I couldn't when I tried to upload him using White version. My game just gave me the message that "This Pokemon doesn't seem sleepy yet," which is a first from my experience using the Global Link.

Right, there's a block on Kyurem at the moment. I'd assume they updated the DW to give Kyurem a special feature when uploaded, like the event Reshiram/Zekrom, and so they don't want anything happening until BW2.

That's odd. Probably since B/W 2 has massive changes for this Pokemon it can't be uploaded until these games come to the U.S. and they are going to hold an event for sure just like they did with Reshiram and Zekrom. Also is your Kyurem legit? If it is a hack there is a possible chance that hacks can't be uploaded XD. I know I can't upload my 3 secret Pokemon because they are hacks and have not been released yet XD.
