Pokémon Acanthite TCG Series

Long time no update,

Time to share some info about our new set - AC: Discovery. The set is the Acanthite TCG Induction set, so it contains twelve cards, many of which show off new Acanthite Pokémon. Here are three!

Liqua was drawn by Aki, Aquericle by Kam and Hydronicle by Comfy Cushion. Personally I love these designs :D

I can see it now... My opponent is playing Reshiram/Typhlosion. I play the Liqua, I attach the Water Energy, and I instantly win the game.

Great cards as usual :]

These are amazing! I love Draglanz! People make light-types, but they're unicorns and fairies, but dragons are what it should be. :p And the Porygon evo and the water types are also awesome. And the cards look great!

This might be a dumb question, but why does it say "aura" on Draglanz?

It was potentially a new mechanic which we would use in the set, however due to the lack of development and Fangking's strong opposition towards the concept we have decided against using it in our sets.

Oh, how did I miss this update? =D

Nice Hydro-line. Meta-counter options, very open in energy accel options (not sure how well Shaymin/Pachi would work here).

Guys guys guys, it's been way too long. We've actually started work on our first full set, titled AC: New Ground. I'm sure you guys want to see the beginning of it, right? Here are our three starter Pokémon.

These guys were the first three releases from AC: New Ground :D

On top of these, we have a promotional card to show; a Defense BATTLE Pokémon Draglanz.

Isn't it absolutely gorgeous? The BATTLE Pokémon concept means boosting one of a Pokémons stats whilst nerfing its others - in this case, Draglanz has high defensive and healing skills, but damage from its attacks isn't the best.

All of these pieces of art were by one of my favourite people ever, Nintendo Jr. Seriously, that Draglanz is probably the best piece of digital art I have seen in my life. Hope you guys like these :D

You've heard me say this for like the seven thousandth time, but great work as always, Flameh. Good job to you and the Acanthite staff ;]

Absolutely AWESOME. I've never seen Artworks like this before please keep on the good work. This set is going to be amazing.

BATTLE Pokémon is the best thing that happened to Pokémon TCG since dual typed cards.

Keep 'em coming Flameh!

It is indeed :D I can honestly say Nintendo Jr. is my favourite artist of all time (and he's probably annoyed with me because I tell him this on a near-daily basis...).

They are! Credit for the concept goes to our grand master, Fangking :)

The reason why I love the BATTLE concept is because it allows for the opportunity to have extreme stats without completely ruling over everything in the way that the new -EX cards do. Kind of a way of adding new variables to the game :D

I think all of these look fantastic, though I'm still a bit iffy about that Liqua artwork. Kam seems to like it, though, so I guess it's not the worst thing ever.

My favorite card here is Reptide. The artwork is amazing and the set-up of the card is very clean. I would love to have a real version of this card. :)

You're the master in that department good Sir! :D

Glad you like 'em, I actually really like your Liqua too :D

Time for some more methinks! :D The first two flying type cards... Felbin and Kestrawk!

Felbin's drawing is Kam's work, and Kestrawk's art is by Nintendo Jr.. Hope you guys like these :D

The Felbin and Kestrawk came out six months after we first did the art and spoilers for it.

We just needed to fix that Flying blank didn't we

And once again Scizor demonstrates he has a Ph.D in Rapeology

Are there any downsides to having a >> BATTLE Pokemon in play? Are they hard to get in play? Reducing a 70-damage attack from 3 Energy to 1 just for having a certain type of Pokemon in play seems a bit much

>> are Speed Pokémon; they're easy to set up and focus around letting you use okayish attacks for low energy costs. I wanted to carry the speed over to another Pokémon that is famed for its speed; though looking back maybe it should have been 50 or 60. The fact that it has a fire weakness is a vulnerability though - from the poilers we have prepped it's clear fire is going to be a threat in New Ground at least...
