The game will include all 718 Pokémon and will have a four player co-op mode! Who else will be downloading this?! You can watch the trailer from the Nintendo Direct here or check out the official English site here.

Release Dates & Pricing:
~ NA - March 20th, 2014 - $7.99
~ EU - March 13th, 2014 - €7.99 (UK - £7.19)
~ JPN - March 12th, 2014 - 800¥

Once again, America being released last. I wonder why America is making this change?

Doesn't affect me too much as I'm not a huge spin off person. However, the Regigigas in the video is temping me...

I would have preferred a new Pokémon Ranger or a new Mystery Dungeon... but they already announced it some months ago (when this game was only a rumour XD)
I don't think I will buy it... maybe I will try the first one XD

For that price, I will be getting it! It's just two day's meals. :3

Looks good, I want so see how Giratina will be.

I'm getting it, it's cheap. And well, more stamps.

Never played the first one, so I watched the trailer. Based on that, it looks like something like a Pokémon version of Bejeweled or Candy Crush? The artwork is super cute. :3 I think I might be picking this up.

AKA Pokémon Battle Link.

What's with all the sequels to Pokémon games no-one wants?

I wouldn't say no one wants them; it's been less than 12 hours since Dedenne posted this thread and it's already gotten a pretty good response, and that's just here. There's a pretty good sized market for cheap puzzle games, and the Pokémon theme draws other people (like me!) who might not have been interested otherwise. Besides, I really don't think the development of this game took a lot of time/effort away from the people who make the other spin-offs or main-line games, so no harm done.

Too bad they got rid of the animated heads and replaced them with PokéDoll heads.

Some screenshots have appeared on Pokémon's official site!

I'm actually excited for this game!
Although adventure spinoffs are more exciting, like Mystery Dungeon and PokéPark, this Trozei will be a fun, cheap mini-game!

Will buy it solely for the cheap price and how much I remember enjoying Trozei. The price is the real thing to talk about here. Did they cut content out to make it smaller than Trozei? Is it going to have DLC? Did Game Freak finally realize that small spin-offs don't need to be priced at $40?

They said this game will have 719 Pokémon.

They actually stated 718.
Which makes since because #719, Diancie, wasn't officially revealed until the day after the Nintendo Direct. Also, it wouldn't make much since for Trozei to feature Diancie before X & Y do?

I think at least some of the cost decrease is simply that it's being released for download and not as a physical copy. The costs of producing physical games is actually somewhat significant. I also wouldn't be surprised if there were some kind of DLC.

Nintendo of Europe has announced that the price for 'Pokémon: Link Battle' will be €7.99. While the UK's price will be £7.19.

Anybody else find it ironic that they're releasing a 3DS download game the same day they shut off Wi-Fi for the DS?
No? Just me then.

What is this I don't even.
