King is sitting, eyes closed. He says, "the Metagross is next to us. Also, I hear pawsteps several hundred yards away. But wait. There's trouble. 12 sets of footfalls, just on the outskirts of town. Bandits! They're discussing how to pick us off. We're in trouble!" King stands up, facing the town.

Ooc: Zyflair, is my post okay, or is there no Pokemon similar to a in the distance and no bandits?

(Let's just say King thinks it's bandits that are discussing how to pick him off :p)

The inside of the shack looked normal, At least a dozen crates all neatly piled in one corner, obstructing his view of what was originakky there.

Ooc: I mean okay Zyflair

Ic: "Whoever you are hiding, come out now! I heard you moving around! If you don't, I can put on a little magic show for you. Have you ever seen what happens when a leaf gets caught on fire? It burns!"

Ranald got a bit defensive. With one hand on the hilt of his blade and the other in front of him, he slowly made his way towards the pile of crates.

King grows impatient. He roars, "watch this shack!" There is an abandoned shed about 100 feet away from him. He stomps his foot, and thrusts his arms into the air. An earth-column sends the shack skyward, but King isn't done. When he stomped, several boulders the size of bowling-balls were launched into the air. King now thrusts his arms forwards, and opens his fists rapidly. Tge boulders ignite, and launch into Tge shack, destroying it and sending its remains smoldering to the ground. He grins, and says, "the same fate can await you if you do not show yourselves in five minutes."

"Stop, you fool!" Myzer commanded. "You're ears have been tricked. There are no bandits."

Ooc: how would you know? Zyflair is suggesting that they might be something other than bandits, like normal people.

Nothing sounded inside the shack except for Ranald's steps. The dim ceiling light flickered as he moved closer to the corner, no other visible change apparent. As soon as he got within less than a feet of the crates, his foot felt something different of the floor. Upon looking down, he saw that he stepped on a visible gap in a straight line across the floor, which stopped and turned 90 degrees to wall. These two lines surrounded the crates. Shack itself has a tiled wooden flooring, but in this corner, there is one solid large piece of wood in the corner, as indicated by the lines. What was the reason?

Both Myzer and King heard a light sound from the bushes at this point. Something along the lines of "Pffffffft...."

"I will ask ONE MORE TIME!" King roared, growing impatient. If you refuse to show yourselves, "I will blast those bushes to Kingdom-come!"

Ooc: Just using Kingdom-come as an expression, I don't want to offend anybody, so I'll edit if anyone wishes.

OOC: Myzer questions everything he doesn't see or hear himself.

Myzer frowned. "I don't think you should be so loud. We might want to back up a bit. That sound could be a Pokemon, or a balloon, but if it's something along the lines of a bomb, it would be wise to move."

Myzer jogged back about 20 feet and then transformed into a Rhyperior, in case it was indeed a bomb.

(Notice: Pokefan is out on short vacation, so he'll be back sometime on Monday.)

The bushes rustled, and the Umbreon from the tavern went out, smiling.
"Oh, that was a good laugh..."

King looks at him, outraged. "You are lucky. I was about to light that bush up!" Then he looks at the Umbreon angrily. A column erupts from under the Umbreon's feet.

Ooc: I was actually about to post that King set the bush on fire, and whenever I post hopefully, it's basically what I would intend to happen if the attack hit, since I can't say what happens.

(Edit your post, this Umbreon ain't a simple fellow.)
Before King even raised the column, the Umbreon sidestepped, clearing the column just as it started to move up.
"Why the hostility? I was only watching."

Alex was getting impatient, although he tried not to show it. "Are you quite done ignoring me? Really, making up bandits just to avoid answering my questions? That's extremely suspicious, you know." he told King.

"Why were you watching? I was only listening, and what were you doing out here in Tge first place?"

King looks at Alex and says, I wasn't ignoring you. I was in a spell state. I didn't hear you, and clearly, someone is here. That was no story."

"I'm not even going to waste my breath explaining how illogical it is that you heard the bushes rustling and not someone right behind you talking to you. Instead I'm going to ask you again: What makes you so sure that the Vaporeon is to blame, why did you create a sandtstorm in the middle of the town, and where did you run off to afterwards?" Alex demanded.

"I told you. I want to ask her questions, not accuse her, and I couldn't here you because I was searching for specific sounds. Footsteps."

"Shut up, both of you," Myzer said tiredly. "It seems I was right after all. There was something much more powerful in the bushes than mere bandits." He narrowed his eyes. "And who are you, anyway?"

He grinned, tilting his head playfully.
"My name is Ralph, a wandering merchant of Rogu, but truly much more than just that. In any case, I was wondering why you were chasing down the Vaporeon and followed along. Strange I was caught now of all times."
