Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with Different Types and Evolutionary Lines! - Completed!

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

I've been loving this topic so far, but I haven't managed to come up with anything to contribute, until now. Hopefully this works out all right.

As to the region concept, you might consider spelling it "Baloncé" to help demonstrate pronunciation...usually, I'm flatly against putting diacritics in anything, but the é is an inherent part of Pokémon's birthright, and Flabébé touts it as a legal general use character.

And my vote for location, if you're looking for something European, is Greece. It's got lots of advantages: interesting culture, tons of ruins, gorgeous geography, and a warm climate with plenty of coastline, which fits the current trend of the Pokémon in this 'Dex.

Anyway, here's my line idea:

Oochild
Expectant Pokemon
440.gif

Basic Pokémon
Fairy
Ability: Thick Fat (HA: Symbiosis)
Stats: 100/10/10/15/95/95 Total: 325
It loves to collect anything that resembles eggs. Every day is practice for future motherhood.

Ovescort
Guardian Pokemon
242.gif

Evolves from Oochild at level 25.
Fairy
Ability: Thick Fat (HA: Symbiosis)
Stats: 130/20/60/40/100/75 Total: 425
It travels widely across the region, caring for its egg. Though few in number, they can be found on almost any Route.

Bennedict
Irresponsible Pokemon
463.gif

Evolves from Ovescort at very low happiness.
Fairy/Fighting
Ability: Oblivious/Own Tempo (HA: Unburden)
Stats: 150/95/85/75/65/55 Total: 525
If left from its mothering duties too long, Ovescort loses its egg and evolves. It then concentrates solely on battling.

Ovorphan
Forgotten Pokemon
102.gif

Appears in party when Ovescort evolves into Bennedict.
Fairy/Ghost
Ability: Shadow Tag
Stats: 100/5/5/85/95/135 Total: 425
Without an Ovescort to care for them, the eggs can never hatch. It shadows Pokémon it likes and follows them everywhere.

I've always wanted a Pokémon that evolves through anti-happiness, and as much as I love the Shedinja mechanic, it always bugged me that we never got another one. So, this line is all about those concepts. Also two currently unused type combinations.

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

I've been a big fan of all the work posted here so far. I've had several ideas, but none of them have been worth posting here most of the time. I guess I should go ahead and give this a shot!

Catten
Innocent Pokemon
300.gif

Basic Pokémon
Fairy
Ability: Unaware / Healer (HA: Friend Guard)
Stats: 65/55/60/20/60/70 Total: 330
It soothes other Pokémon in distress with the fluffiness of its tail. Though seemingly innocent, Catten can sometimes lose its temper when given the opportunity.

Malicat
Persuasive Pokemon
301.gif

Evolves from Catten at level 22.
Fairy
Ability: Unaware / Own Tempo (HA: Friend Guard)
Stats: 75/75/75/40/75/90 Total: 430
This Pokémon is easily influenced and deceives opponents with its cuteness. Malicat are known for snatching purses in the streets, whether it be daylight or dark.

Feliny
Big Bully Pokemon
432.gif

Evolves from Malicat at level 40 with a Dark-type in the party.
Fairy/Dark
Ability: Intimidate / Guts (HA: Moxie)
Stats: 85/115/85/55/95/95 Total: 530
Once an innocent Catten, Feliny is now a Pokémon to avoid due to Its pure love for trickery and violence. However, it still treats its trainer with the same love and care that it did as a baby.

Not only do I love Skitty, but I also have always wanted a more unique Fairy-type evolutionary line; one that is seemingly cute and grows up to be more dark seems like a good idea to me, at least.

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

I'm really glad to see more people join in and post ideas! Will update the dex tonight as I'm going to be pretty busy today.

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

Well, since I got a confusing amount of likes on the last post, I decided to try it again. Since in earlier gens they rarely introduced an evolution mechanic only to use it once, I went for a repeat performance on unhappiness evolution:

Lagomood
Shifting Pokémon
312.gif
311.gif

Basic Pokémon
At 0-99 happiness, it appears blue. At 100+, its color and Ability change.
Electric
Ability: (Blue) Rattled/Forewarn (HA: Minus)
Ability: (Red) Rally/Friend Guard (HA: Plus)
Stats: 45/40/40/50/50/95 Total: 320
All Lagomoods observed in the wild are blue. When one in captivity turned red, scientists were puzzled by the development.

Harelation
Joy Pokémon
184.gif

Evolves from Lagomood at high happiness.
Electric/Fighting
Ability: Rally/Friend Guard (HA: Plus)
Stats: 80/105/50/75/75/95 Total: 480
It loves all people as much as it loves its trainer. If it can control its voltage, it makes a great babysitter.

Melanbunny
Backlash Pokémon
azumarill-8_zpsa634d123.gif

Evolves from Lagomood at very low happiness.
Electric/Dark
Ability: Rattled/Forewarn (HA: Minus)
Stats: 100/50/80/85/115/50 Total: 480
Despite its grumpiness, it prefers battling to moping. Just don't shake its hand before the match.

Also...would you be willing to consider a Mega Evolution for Fightape? It just seems seems like it could use one. Healoserp could use one as well, but it's a bit less obvious how that could be done, and there's still a chance Mega Milotic might come into existence shortly.

#004 Flamape

I could see this for mega Healeoserp
#007 Plipthon
Water Snake Pokémon
dratini.gif

Basic Pokémon
Water
Ability: Torrent (HA: Healer)
Stats: 35/40/50/65/70/50 - BST 310
Whilst this Pokemon can't actually do much, it likes to comfort Pokemon in distress.

#008 Aquaconda
Water Snake Pokémon
dragonair.gif

Evolves from Plipthon at level 17
Water
Ability: Torrent (HA: Healer)
Stats: 70/50/70/80/90/60 - BST 420
Due to its good will and desire to help, this Pokemon develops healing abilities and will stop to help any Pokemon in need.

#009 Healoserp
Hydro Snake Pokemon
milotic.gif

Evolves from Aquaconda at level 35
Water/Fairy
Ability: Torrent (HA: Healer)
Stats: 100/60/90/100/120/70 - BST 540
This Pokemon's long sensors on its head can detect any cries for help. It travels the ocean, selflessly helping any Pokemon that needs it. It has been known to go hungry, giving all its food to any Pokemon that needs it.

#009 Healoserp
Hydro Snake Pokemon
gyarados.gif

Mega volves from Healeoserp with the Healeonite
Water/Dragon
Ability: Pressure
Stats: 100/60/90/150/130/90 - BST 640
Extra Info: Gains huge boosts in Sp. Atk, Sp.Def, and Speed. It's one of those "friendly but intimidating" Pokémon.

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

Maybe after the Pokédex is done (or sooner, if you want), you could consider doing a spinoff thread about the region, using the same rules - defining the Gym Leaders and other main characters of the region, and the locations within it, as people and places from other regions, but with new names and identities?

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

Squink
Small Squid Pokemon
inkay.gif

Basic Pokémon
Water
Ability: Ink Blot* (HA: Swift Swim)
Stats: 75/40/50/70/60/70
This weak Pokemon likes it in the deep ocean, where it latches itself onto larger Pokemon such as Wailord so it has protection. There have been reports that people have inadvertently caught this Pokemon whilst it was attached onto larger Pokemon.

Ammonink
Shelled Pokemon
omastar.gif

Evolves from Squink when levelled up whilst holding a Spiral Shell
Water/Fighting
Ability: Ink Blot* (HA: Shell Armor)
Stats: 80/100/80/90/80/90
Its large shell is actually rather brittle and hollow, making it unsuitable for withstanding attacks. Its fighting techniques involve spraying ink in the opponents face, then with its tentacles it latches onto the opponent, then bites the opponent.

*Ink Blot - whenever this Pokemon uses a special move, it has a 10% chance of lowering the opponents accuracy one stage.

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

Also an idea for another of Reggies Regi/Gastly line:

Mysshell
Mysterious Pokemon
cloyster.gif

Evolves from Ghodapt at level 25 when underwater
Water/Ghost
Ability: Cursed Body (HA: Drizzle)
Stats: 90/45/100/70/95/50 Total: 450
No one really knows what's inside its shell. It's said that it's a portal to an underwater dimension.

Hydrost
Mysterious Pokemon

Evolves from Mysshell at level 40
Water/Ghost
Ability: Cursed Body (HA: Drizzle)

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

Updated the dex. I'll think we'll add 20 more Pokémon and legendaries and aim for around 150 Pokémon, then we can focus on the region. Keep up the great work, guys!

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

So, I felt Nosai was looking a bit lonely, so I wanted to give him some Fossil friends.

Cryswatch
Quartz Pokémon
starmie.gif

Restored from Clock Fossil
Rock/Electric
Ability: Reliable/Analytic (HA: Clear Body)
Stats: 125/60/60/60/60/30 Total: 395
A bygone society fashioned this crystal into a tool, using its electric pulses to keep time. They did not know it was a Pokémon.

Piezoul
Quartz Pokémon
sableye.gif

Note: Appearance should be Mega Sableye, rather than regular Sableye.
Evolves from Cryswatch at level 40
Rock/Electric
Ability: Reliable/Competitive (HA: Mold Breaker)
Stats: 75/60/60/125/65/115 Total: 500
Removed from its fitting, the crystal can manifest its true shape. Its electric field is now more powerful, but useless for keeping time.

Ability: Reliable: Each time a move is repeated in battle, it cumulatively deals 20% more damage. Using a different move ends the effect.

Rustusk
Hematite Pokémon
skorupi.gif

Restored from Blood Fossil
Rock/Poison
Ability: Compound Eyes/Poison Point (HA: Battle Armor)
Stats: 85/75/85/60/60/30 Total: 395
This Pokémon is filled with a potent toxin. When the toxin leaks out, it oxidizes Rustusk's rocky surface, giving it a red sheen.

Venincisor
Hematite Pokémon
genesect.gif

Evolves from Rustusk at level 40
Rock/Poison
Ability: Compound Eyes/Poison Point (HA: Battle Armor)
Stats: 95/100/130/90/60/25 Total: 500
It grew strong enough to become bipedal because it wanted to collect things. When it sees a bright stone, it slots it into its back..

Although, not counting repeats I counted 212 (EDIT: 214 - I somehow missed Gojirantrum and Mikoprinaly) distinct Pokémon submissions in this thread...so I guess if there's only 150 slots that means a bunch of them aren't getting in.

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

IDK, maybe 175 will do. Thanks for counting!

Maybe we can make a Pokedex 3.0 after we get this one done for the ones that we missed.

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

202 (Hoenn) and 210 (Sinnoh) are both canon Pokédex region numbers that would only leave a small handful of species off the list, so those might be worth considering. Given that Kalos was a relatively small region with a massive 454, I don't think overcrowding your region is a serious issue.

Also, just for reference, the lines in order of post to help make some final decisions:
1. Rokba-Shelok-Gigagon (Rock/Dragon)
2. Slugudge-Toxislug-Malevoslug (Poison/Dark)
3. Sproutythm-Petalythm-Lilirythm (Grass/Fairy)
4. Pusense-Thundog (Normal/Electric)

6. Dramph-Fliegon-Aerogon-Mega Aerogon (Dragon/Flying)
7. Nateer-Mysteer (Grass/Psychic)

9. Embird-Phlarenix (Fire/Flying)
10. Frutaste/Snakrust/Slurpalm (Grass/Electric)
11. Purotenshi (Fairy/Flying Legendary)
12. Kuraskamai (Dark/Fire Legendary)
13. Bellesect-Trapplant-Venevore-Carnulb-Rafflespore (Grass/Poison)
14. Bugron-Bugoon-Drafly (Bug/Dragon, revamp)
15. Shelless-Gastrargo-Suffolusk (Poison/Water)
16. Parushell-Pakoraru-Ocealed (Water)

19. Seikoshi (Psychic/Ghost Legendary)
20. Purifighter (Fighting/Psychic Legendary)

25. Mischitty-Falacat (Dark)
26. Flarie-Sacreferno-Sacrevolt (Fairy/Fire&Electric)
27. Mhask-Immalive-Mega Immalive (Ghost, Fighting/Rock)
28. Bulaow-Bullrush (Normal)
29. Oochild-Ovescort-Bennedict-Ovorphan (Fairy/Fighting&Ghost)
30. Lagomood-Harelation-Melanbunny (Electric/Fighting&Dark)
31. Cryswatch-Piezoul (Rock/Electric fossil)

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

Sorry to post again, but I should probably get this out of the way now...there's actually 102 Pokémon in the 1-100 section; #28 (Wizcheenie/Damakit) and #68 (Ammonink/Waterk) each list two distinct Pokémon. Maybe you could move Nosai/Goliant to the second half of the Pokédex to fix it, since fossils often (Gens I, III, VI) occur later in the Dex?

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

Been keeping close tabs on the development of the thread, and I've got to say that I'm impressed by how far this has come along. Always nice to see the community coming closer together and contributing towards a fun and productive project like this. Keep it up, guys! :)

I think this fits more. Added your suggestion.

I would suggest using shiny Simisear instead of the normal, since the coloring kinda matches up

*Edit* Removed Mega Brutaoux, since I didn't like it

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

Okay, I really need to lay off this topic, but with the possibility that the Pokédex may be ending soon, I've got a few more random ideas I want to get out there before that happens:

Camoullon and Forecast
Forecast is a pretty cool ability, but unfortunately in the prime universe it appears on Castform, a Pokémon that doesn't really make it interesting. Camoullon isn't a powerhouse, but with a higher Special Attack and Speed than Castform, it can still get off some decent weather balls. And Vivillon's repertoire is pretty perfect for Forecasting. All types (except for Clear Sky) chosen based on Weather Ball STAB.

Camoullon
Camouflage Pokémon
vivillon-fancy.gif
(Clear Sky)
vivillon-marine.gif
(Rain)
vivillon-sun.gif
(Sun)
vivillon-polar.gif
(Hail)
vivillon-sandstorm.gif
(Sandstorm)
vivillon.gif
(Fog)
Evolves from Cloakoon at level 25
Bug/Grass (Clear Sky) Bug/Water (Rain) Bug/Fire (Sun)
Bug/Ice (Hail) Bug/Rock (Sandstorm) Bug/Normal (Fog)
Ability: Forecast
Stats: 70/45/40/105/40/100 Total: 400
It spends its days reshaping its wings to match the coming weather. During nighttime is flies around eating nectar from its favorite flower: the Gracidea.

Mega Sacreferno/Sacrevolt
Adding to Steffenka's suggestions on missing Megas, I think this pair are among the most obvious possible candidates, provided they make the Dex:

Mega Sacreferno
Sacred Pokémon
kyurem-white.gif

Mega Evolves from Sacreferno using the Black Sacrenite
Fairy/Fire
Ability: Flare Boost
Stats: 90/150/90/150/90/70 Total: 640
It's said that they'll only listen to competent trainers. When a group get together they produce beautiful fire patterns in the air. Due to this, they have been celebrated and many cultures have festivals in their name.

Mega Sacrevolt
Electro Pokémon
kyurem-black.gif

Mega Evolves from Sacrevolt using the White Sacrenite
Fairy/Electric
Ability: Volt Scape
Stats: 90/70/130/70/130/150 Total: 640
Despite it's fearsome appearance, it's actually gentle. When groups of them gather, they like to fly around producing electric patterns in the sky. In some parts of the world, Sacrevolt and Sacreferno gather at the same time, producing beautiful patterns of fire and lightning together.

Maragon and Abso-Fusion
I know that Purifighter, Fightark, and Maragon shared a post because they came up at the same time, and that they aren't meant to form a trinity together, but it seemed like there could be more to Maragon than meets the eye...and perhaps this could be a place to use the one-off Abso-Fusion mechanic once more? The idea being that Maragon can fuse into either to become its armor, upsetting the balance and giving a definitive edge to one or the other. This drives them, motivates their conflict; each wants to find and gain Maragon's trust, and prevent the other from doing the same. As with all Abso-Fusions, the process is reversible.

Purifighter (Armor Forme)
Purified Fighter Pokémon
aggron.gif

Abso-Fuse Maragon into Fightark using the Accursed Anvil
Steel/Fighting
Ability: Sheer Force
Stats: 80/170/115/120/135/80 Total: 700
This Pokémon helps out others. It is said to have fought with Fightark before.

Fightark (Armor Forme)
Dark Fighter Pokémon
aggron-mega.gif

Abso-Fuse Maragon into Fightark using the Accursed Anvil
Steel/Dark
Ability: No Guard
Stats: 90/130/155/80/175/70 Total: 700
It is said to be untrustworthy. It has fought with Purifighter before.

A Desperate Attempt at the Water-Starter-Mega Problem
Since adding a new form to Healoserp was difficult while still maintaining its line identity, what about a different approach to the problem? The Waterk-Aushark-Groshark line is a three stage Water-type + Mega, looks quite starter-like, and the stats are pretty close to the ballpark already. With a few tweaks, it could work. This change does make the starters more of a trinity, with Solaria being Special-focused, Groshark Physical-focused, and Fightape a mixed attacker.

Waterk
Scary Shark Pokémon

Basic Pokémon
Water
Ability: Torrent (HA: Rough Skin)
Stats: 45/80/30/65/20/70 Total: 310

Water/Ground
Ability: Torrent (HA: Intimidate)
Stats: 82/125/60/96/65/107 Total: 535
This Pokemon has achieved its dream of being able to live on land. It likes to live on beaches so it can stay by the water, however.

Land Shark Pokémon
garchomp-mega.gif

Mega Evolves from Groshark with the Groshanite
Water/Ground
Ability: Sand Stream
Stats: 82/155/70/116/65/147 Total: 635

Evolves from Plipthon at level 22
Water
Ability: Natural Cure/Healer (HA: Multiscale)
Stats: 69/45/65/75/85/60 Total: 399
Due to its good will and desire to help, this Pokemon develops healing abilities and will stop to help any Pokemon in need.

Healoserp
Hydro Snake Pokémon
milotic.gif

Evolves from Aquaconda at level 40 while suffering a Status Condition.
Water/Fairy
Ability: Marvel Scale/Healer (HA: Multiscale)

This Pokemon's long sensors on its head can detect any cries for help. It travels the ocean, selflessly helping any Pokemon that needs it. It has been known to go hungry, giving all its food to any Pokemon that needs it.

Thanks for doing the Mega Evo for me! What does the Volt Scape ability do? Please don't make it overly powerful!

Ok, I think there should be 15 more Pokémon made. And don't be that guy who makes a line with 10 Pokémon.

Will update the dex soon.
