First Pokémon game to play & own: Well, the first real game I bought was Platinum but I've played at least one game from each gen, way before buying Platinum, using ROMs cause I couldn't afford a real console and game back then. So, the first game I played for real was (ironically) Sapphire

I could understand it if it was the other way around. When you see the counterparts, at least I think that the gen 5 ones are almost always better and more interestingly designed. Buuut... you have to take off your nostalgia glasses first.
