RSE/FRLG Pokemon Game Solo Run!

No, Mudkip is actually the easiest, because Swampert has only 1 weakness and can tank very well against virtually anything else. Blaziken's more of the intermediate.

*sets off sprinklers* how about now DNA...i just won. i have always wanted to raise a lvl 100 pikachu.

Come again, Catutie? I'm not sure what you're talking about.

*sigh* nvm...why do i remember everything from the cartoon. (ash beat brock with his pikachu by accidentally setting off the sprinklers)

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...sorry, my brain wasn't fully working. Yeah, I totally remember that scene. My fault.

I'd say Mudkip, (No I'm not a Mudkip fanboy)Mudkip is a decent choice giving you an advantage over 3 gyms.4 if you include resistances.

As for recording my story in case anyone was wondering, I will make notes of what happens. Also, I will catch a few pokemon just for HM purposes, but that's it.

Mudkip barely has the lead by 2 with 13 votes in! Let's finish this poll so I can start the story-telling!

That's actually a really bad idea. For example, I'm pretty sure that Pikachu is probably one of the worst choices to use against Brock
.

well I meant Ash's pokemon not he's "smart" battling stradegy. :p

No, I meant the Pokemon. It's already implied that you never ever use his strategies. (read: don't play Yellow)

Fair enough. I'll give reports through each gym, one at a time. I will take notes of everything I do on every route: battles, exp. points, ect.

Part 1: Moving Truck to Rustboro Gym
The game started off the standard way. Birch says a ton of crud for new players, then asks your name. I type Joey, and the game truly begins. Besides the standard, nothing happened in the beginning of the game, up until the first battle with your pokemon. In this battle, I begin to rack up many experience points. I'll list out everything by Route from here.

Route 101: This route is the route where you basically begin, much like Route 1 in Kanto, but shorter. Here are the pokemon I beat on the route:
Spr_3e_263.gif
: First pokemon I beat with Birch's dilema. 17 exp. earned.
Spr_3e_261.gif
: Only true wild pokemon I fought on this route. 20 exp. earned.

Oldale/Route 103

Nothing really happens in Oldale, almost a waste of a town save a PokeCenter. I moved on to Route 103, where I found May in her green attire. After getting a little shocked by me, she began fight with her Treeko.

: The start of my rivals pokemon. It wasn't much of a fight: the Treeko has low defenses. 3 tackles beat it as Mudkip launches to Level 7.

Littleroot/101/Oldale/102:

After beating May, a lot of basic things happened. I returned to Littleroot, Birch ran through his standard, I go through 101 and Oldale without any issues, and get to Route 102. There, my first trainer battles and more wild pokemon battles take place.
Trainers:
Youngster Calvin: Beat his Poochy, gaining 58 experience points.
Bug Catcher Rick: Beat his 2 Wurmples, gaining 90 experience points.

Wild pokemon:

This pokemon is one that I fought just shortly after the Bug Catcher. 30 experience points earned.
Another Zigzagoon was battled for 25 experience points, giving me 307 points earned so far.

Petalburg/104/Petalburg woods

After I get through the Route, I am directed to "help" Wally catch a pokemon. After this takes place, I get stopped by Scott quickly, then continue on. Route 104 had no wild pokemon for me. I moved into the Petalburg Woods, only stopped by a Wurmple once for 38 experience points. I ran into a Devon worker, who was too chicken to do anything against an Aqua grunt. I won with 108 points and a level 10 getting added to my total.

105/Gym

Absolutely nothing happened on Route 105, with me dodging 2 single battles and me unable to do a double battle. I soon enter the Gym and challenge Roxanne, forgetting that I needed to heal. Anyway, I had to battle twice. I ended up beating her Geodude trio twice, giving me 880 experience points and 3 levels. When Nosepass came out, I lowered it's accuracy with Mud-Slap 3 times, making Nosepass low. I guess Roxanne is related to Whitney, because she used Potion after Potion to keep Nosey alive. Fortunately, I easily beat it with 4 Water Guns after that, getting my first gym badge while gaining a level off of 346 experience points.

End totals for the day:
Total gained experience points: 1676
Current level: 14
