RSE/FRLG Pokemon Game Solo Run!

Umm... no. I'm not sure what EVs those are worth. Can you calculate the IVs of the pokemon I battled? 2 Zigzagoons, 2 Poochyenas, 3 Wurmples, 1 Treeko, 4 Geodudes, and 1 Nosepass.

I got nothing different except for the 7 being a 6. I will note the EVs though. Once another person comments, I will start on my way to the Dewford Gym.

Joey, the IV calculators assume you have no EVs, that's why when people don't know how many EVs they use the berries to calculate IVs. Also, the range will get smaller the higher the level. Sometime's at higher levels if you forget to input EVs you could get a value below 0 or above 31 which will screw up the calc.

Part 2: Rustboro to Dewford
As I left the gym, an incident with Devon occured, with an Aqua grunt stealing something called Devon Goods. I end up chasing the grunt onto Route 116, where I get stopped by a few things.

Route 116:
This route simply connects Rusturf Tunnel to Rustboro. I hit quite a few stops along the way, all not needed.

Wild Pokemon on Route 116:

Why can't this puppy leave me alone? Anyway, I encountered one of these, giving me 62 experience points.

The almost silent pokemon makes it's first appearance, with one appearing for 58 experience points.

Devan, like all Hikers, is no match for a Mudkip. He has 2 Geodude, which got OHKO'd for a total of 294 experience points.

Youngsters Joey (NOT ME!!!) and Johnson were battled on my way back from Rustboro Tunnel. Joey had Machop, giving me 169 experience points and Johson has Shroomish and Lotad, giving me a total of 237 experience points from the two pokemon.

Rustboro Tunnel:
This tunnel is a connection to Route 116 and Venturdurf, rumored incomplete. Nothing much happened here. I battled the same Aqua grunt as before, giving me 129 experience points off of a Poochyena, and 2 Whismurs, handing me 96 experience points.

Rustboro holding May the Destroyer!!!
Let me say now that this battle was harder than I expected. I had to repeat it 6 times!

The Wingull was a true piece of work. As soon as it growled, I had a low chance of beating the Treecko later on. I was able to beat it all 6 times, giving me 1062 experience points and vaulting me to level 18. I then had that Treeko to deal with. It either used Leer twice before Quick Attacking me to death or it used Absorb. The only way I could possibly win is if I used Mu-Slap over and over again. It used Leer thrice for a change, all three times it used Leer, missing the last time. I used it three more times. I did not want to risk hax, so I negated it's main choice of attack by Growling 6 times. I then had Torrent up due to a lucky Absorb hit. I beat it off of hax, getting 208 experience points.

To be continued...

That took 45 minutes typing! Please, enjoy and critique!

Very nice Joey. What level are May's pokemon? I find it hard that you had to restart 6 times, when your pokemon should have been a higher level.

They were 13 and 15. Problem is that they are both faster than me, so they can greatly hinder my stats. For example, the max I can get on Wingull is a 4HKO if it uses Growl trice. Weak moves prove tough in the beginning.

@Joey, are you keeping track of EVs? Use this to help out:
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pok%C3%A9mon_by_effort_value_yield
Also, to make it harder, you should do it where you can only restart a certain number of times you know... otherwise you can keep perfecting the moves to use to no end, defeating the excitement. Anyways, good job so far, keep it up!

Not exactly... Can you total it for me again, including this post? Please add the last part with the EVs I had in part 1 as well.
Part 3: Dewford Gym

Route 104:
This route connects Petalburg Woods, Petalburg, and the ocean.
On my to the gym, I ran into a few people. I first ran into Winston, a rich boy, who had a Zigzagoon. This little racoon gave me 90 experience points. I also ran into a Marill (must I give an image?) for 41 experience points.

TALK ABOUT DISASTER! I decided to chance it and just go straight to the gym. Big mistake on my part, and my personal challenge of using no healing items in battles until the Elite Four made it worse. The side trainers were easy. Jocelyn had a Meditite for 253 experience points, Christian (a guy) had a Makuthia, giving me 241 experience points and Takoa gave me my level 19 with 244 experience points given to me by a Machop. Then, distater struck. I had no idea the gym leader would be so difficult. It was like battling May, but with a twist. I ended up beating up both Meditite and Machop TEN TIMES!!!, giving me 6130 experience points just between the two. They also leveled me up to level 24. I must say, they were no problem. Machop Low Kicked a few times, and Meditite used Focus Punch the whole time. When I hit the 10th time, I finally figured out how to beat that stupid Makuthia. I started by Growling 4 times when it Bulked Up twice, so it's attack was massively hindered. I was around 20 HP at that time. I start using Water Gun, and Sitrus Berry kicks in! -_- Anyway, it used Reversal, which kicked me down to 11 HP. I used Mud-Slap to be safe on the KO, and it got me to 1 HP with a Vital Throw. Finally, I used 1 Water Gun and it was history for 304 experience points.

New players to Gen. 3, let me tell you a few things.
1. ALWAYS battle anyone you can and do all side things before the gym.
2. If you do battle the gym leaders like I did, take at least 5 Super Potions with you if you are a rusher like me.

At least I learned my mistakes? Tomorrow, I should be able to get to that one place that's on Cycling Road: Trick House

I love how you are telling your story! And just a tip: Brawly has always been hard to beat. 10 times. Phhh! Back in time of RS I used to defeat Roxanne, Walter and Flannery than him.

Lol cool gameplay story- the hardest gym leaders in 3 gen imo are
Misty (if you don't have a pikachu are a bulbsaur)
Brawly and Flannery! does are my top 3 hardest gym leaders!

Well, it would take a while and it isn't exactly fun either... the only reason you want them is if you want to EV train a Swampert later or get more accurate IV calculations at higher levels.

Good luck with the 3rd battle with May- I used a Marshtomp and it took me around 7 tries to beat her.

Lovin' it so far, keep up the good work :)

Thank you very much everyone! I'm not keeping track of IVs anymore, but I will total everything up and fix things when I get home.
