Pokemon Pokemon Live action

Pokemon can't do it because it was dubbed (right?) by 4-kids. Seriously, they don't know the definition of awsome. They just continue with the same lame voices and plot.

A live action Pokemon would be awsome as long as they don't make it for little kids.
I would want it to be PG-13.

transformers was also dubbed.but it would be awesome.at least they should make it in fully 3D.digimon has done it before

It would be cool but seriously think about it, dont you think that the company making it would have to have quite a high budget to animate all the pokemon since they have a huge role. Although I am questioning it I still think it would ROCK!!!!:D

Live action Pokemon would just be terrible, I hope it never happens.

Although it has already been done to an extent, not as a movie but in the form of a touring stage show, "Pokemon Live!"

I'm on your side. I don't really like that idea. I think it would just be weird.

This would be a cool idea, but the thought of cgi pokemon, would be weird, like I said its a good idea, but has many problems.

If they could find a way for it NOT to look badly-done and cheesy, I would love to see it. But we all know that it would never be PG-13. It would be like box-office suicide.

I think it would be a bad idea becuse who would be would act as the pokemon? People of corse and if someone put on a magickarp costume or a small pokemon like magickarp the pokemon would be bigger than normal size becuse people can't use a srinkray to become magickarp size. ( i am just using magickarp for an example).Or if they could make holograms of the pokemon it might be a good idea.

I think it's a good idea, but it would probably end up being terrible. Most animated shows that end up being live action are just aweful. I'm still waiting for the Dragonball live action movie, and i'm guessing it will be terrible also.

I'm sorry, but I just cannot see any way that a live-action Pokémon movie would work. The Pokémon would look weird, the story would probably be cheesy and generic, and if 4Kids was involved, they'd choose the most obnoxious actors possible.

Pokemon is an anime, and I think it should remain an anime. I wonder how they'll cast a live Brock. Lines for eyes? And as the others have stated before, it'll look too weird, 4Kids is for kids, and the plot is horrible anyway.

i agree entirely, animes are meant to stay anime.

Now since some Pokemon do resemble things that are real, I believe it could be done. But I don't think it could be done well. It might be good if it used a new storyline, and some new characters, and NO Team Rocket theme song. No offence but I HATE that song. Now if they did make a Pokemon Movie that would be in theaters more than one night in America, I think it should be more detailed more than live action. That way it wouldn't look to real and cheesy, nor would it look to cartoony.

there are some pictures of "real" pokemon on photobucket, some of them actually look pretty nice, but most of them don't even come close...

Yes, I've seen them, some are pretty decent, like I saw a Cubone one, it was pretty good, but it was on a squirrels body XD.

The live action Death Note was pretty well-acclaimed, though that's an anime that takes place in the real world, stars ordinary people, contains nothing supernatural except the shinigami and the Death Notes, and is very talky. But I'm just using that as an example to say that it's possible to make a good live-action adaptation of an anime.

Pokémon would be way harder than Death Note, obviously. On the other hand, The Dark Knight is still at #1 on IMDb, meaning people absolutely adore it. And this is a movie about a billionaire who puts on a bat suit and beats up criminals.

A good Pokémon live-action adaptation would definitely be possible, but it would probably have to take a similar approach to what Christopher Nolan did and redesign everything from the ground up so that it CAN make for a compelling story. There are just two problems with this: Pokémon is a hugely successful franchise, and thus, you don't need a lot of effort to produce something that'll make money. Secondly, Nintendo would never allow anything too offensive or controversial to show up in a Pokémon movie, which would simply be impossible when your concept is superpowered cockfighting.

I wouldn't like it live-action anyway. I don't see what the big fuss is about having to do everything live-action.

If I ever get involved in the movie industry, I am making a live-action Pokemon movie using my Hollywood and Pokemon connections! :D
