Why does everyone always compare the Trubbish line to the Grimer line? Isn't it Gulpin more like Grimer anyway?
Everyone compares the two because Grimer and Trubbish are both based off of garbage/waste. Gulpin, on th other hand, is more based on (this opinion based on shape and color) a gallbladder.

But the Muk like and Swalot line look so much more similar.

True true, I see your point. I still say Trubbish has a closer association to Grimer though (inb4 we go 20 posts more about this lol)

I think the reason HMs can't be deleted is to avoid getting stuck. For example: you use Rock Climb to get up to a ledge, then delete Rock Climb. How are you going to get back down?

OH YEA... that's a very good point... then I think they should not take up one of your 4 moves but I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

Edit: I take that back. HMs unlike TMs before Gen V couldn't be used up so this couldn't be possible as long as you taught the HM again. Bringing my pet peeve back to square one. I also don't like that medal guy.... He's kinda annoying about it. "And I have another one to give! Please! Please!"

Imagine you're surfing and the pokemon you are on kills a tentacool, levels up, and learns a new move and you choose to delete surf and proceed to drown.

You could always teach the Pokemon the HM move again, yes? I mean, they can be used an infinite amount of times. Being able to delete the move with, let's say, a desired TM and then realizing you need it again would not be a big deal. You could replace the TM with the HM and if you wanted to learn the TM again, you always have that option.

That's true. I suppose someone could trade you a Pokemon with the move before you get the HM, get yourself stuck, and then delete it. (Gen 5 doesn't have HM/Gym Badge restrictions.) You would have to be an idiot to do that, but it's possible.

That's the reason we can't delete HMs. Similarly, as DNA said, this is also why you can't trade a Pokemon with an HM move in your party over IR—it must be in your box.

Better yet, imagine this: You're surfing in the middle of the ocean on your Starmie and a trainer wants to battle. There is no land for miles and Starmie is the first Pokemon in your team. Where the heck do you go when Starmie fights? I guess you can swim, which would make surf irrelevant. :p

They don't have to just immediately drown after forgetting it. Once you hit land, you won't be able to get into the water again until you re-learn.

But hey if you don't mind going to some guy to delete a move or swapping out HM slaves here and there, that's fine by me.

The reasoning and logic behind it still don't stop it from annoying me when I try to figure out what moves to keep or if I don't have that HM I have to teach cause I can't progress without that said move, which means I need to go back to the PC and get a Pokemon who does know that HM. Although I will admit that Rare Candy Treatment comic about how you drown if you forget surf was funny.

Another thing that really bugs me though is the inability to give people pokemon or eggs. I feel like I said this before though. Would have made great use of the Mystery Gift option!

I don't like when NPCs actually move just so you're within they're line of sight and have to battle them.

You mean, when you try and pass them and they turn towards you? I'm pretty sure you can just walk by them when they aren't looking.

In BW2, some trainers in Black Tower / White Treehollow walk around and will battle you if you're in their line of sight. I think.

If you run past a trainer who could turn around so you're in their line of sight, they will notice you and turn around.
If you walk past them, they won't notice you. If they turn at all towards you while walking, it'll be random.

I know this phenomenon is true in White Treehollow. I haven't tried it many other places yet.

I think it's been a thing since 3rd gen.

...I am not sure about that...but I know it happens in the Battle Pyramid too.

It makes sense. What would get you noticed more: tiptoeing behind somebody, or sprinting past them?

Yup, it's been there since gen 3. ^^ Just wait till they turn away and immediately walk past them if you don't want to battle.

I remember what I really wanted to mention... The theme it plays when your pokemons HP is in the red zone. Not like the beeping wasn't enough to alert you but now it changes the battle music to a really annoying suspense theme.
