Stage 2 EXs? Nobody would play these EXs, actual EXs are way faster and personally I'm glad they abandoned the Stage 2 EX mechanic. Maybe these starters' cards are only promos and nothing moreAuride said:Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip promos? Does that mean that there's going to be regular, non-EX lines for the starters? Or perhaps it's just to promos... or maybe they're bringing back stage 2 EX's!
I guess we'll have to wait and find out!
Pikachu6319 said:Just for the record, if they release megas they way they've been doing it in the past, it would take fifteen sets to get them all out. This ignores the primals (if they do it the same way it'd be sixteen), this assumes no Mega will have more than one form (like say Mega Ampharos or Mega Sceptile which really could have two versions if desired) and this assumes that Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y are handled in the same fashion as both Mega Charizards. They may not be interested in getting all Megas out before the (presumable) next generation, which will undoubtfully bring out more Megas anyway, but just an interesting thing to note.
EX era were different (EX Ruby & Sapphire, EX FireRed LeafGreen). Now is XY era, and I don't know what they'll do with the XY era when ORAS will be out. They can't ignore ORAS in the TCG, but they can't publish it in the XY era.Metalizard said:Are you seriously believing the XY era is over? I've said this tons of times before, you're just comparing this case to the Gen 4 era instead of the gen 3 era. When FRLG were released, did the corresponding set ended the EX era? No. What will likely happen is they will have some sets based on ORAS until the release of Z or whatever the 3rd Kalos game will be, and then have sets based on that game, but it will be all part of the same TCG era...
HA559 said:Yeah I wrote something like this in an earlier thread. They now will have to include megas in every set. It is not like the ex or level x cards where you can end it just like that. This means the EX cards we have now will also continue, along with the secret rarer card and full art. You then have to top that of with X and Y pokemon having to be included in as many sets. All this together makes the TCG congested Especially if ORAS set will be introduced in February 2015.

I'd be fine with all that, if we then got a decent secret rare system instead of this gold border nonsense.
