Things That You're Good At: Banners I am better at, but I guess I could make Avatars. I'm good with figuring out positioning, coloring, using the Overlay/Grain Merge, lighting effects, bevel and borders, and some other stuff. ^^ Great! I have just one thing to say: Maybe you could remove the black box from your Logo? It would look a lot better that way. *Adds to list*

Do you know how I could make the background transparent? Don't suggest photoshop, though, since I don't have it.

Sorry, right after I posted last night I went to my little bro's friend's house to watch the Shaymin movie.
I think you can make transparent stuff in Gimp...? Nice banner, BTW.

Try using a Select tool and Deleting what's inside. Also, save as .png.
 
My copy>paste button is acting so I can't use the form right but I was woundering if you could draw a pikachu with a tropical theme like it would be at the beach or something.

P.S. I had to add a black layer over Shadow because he was WAAAAAY too bright. And I went with both of your background suggestions. Now it's lightning in space! I hope it turned out ok, since this is the first request I've made, and it was hard to make a good render of him.
