My hope is that most of the older fans (who have the largest amount money in the hobby) will still dislike/hate BW like they did back in the early-mid 2010s. They might still believe Gen 5 is mid because ice cream, coffin, garbage, Watchog (this one is valid), bad starter, monkey, etc and ignore the set. Knock on wood

Genesect and Garbodor have historically been pretty fantastic, so that's something. Garbotoxin, Genesect EX, Trashalanche, and Genesect V are some of the most format-defining cards ever printed. It wouldn't be strange if we got another good one in this upcoming specialty set

This is actually true. Journey together is so much easier to get, and I even got 11 packs for MSRP, which I opened with my family. If your quick enough, you'll most likely be able to grab it nowadays.

This is awesome for the casual collectors and players. Ive always believed that reselling sealed product should never happen with new products since it it artifically inflates the market and makes it harder for people that actually enjoy the hobby without having the funds to pay "market price" . Its brutal with the tarriffs already up in canada. Im hoping this is the beginning of the end for scalpers this time around. The market ebbs and flows so im hoping this will be the start of the decline. Itll get back to being crazy in a few years but we can omly hope that we get a bit of a reprieve from crazy product prices
 
Asides the poster child’s for gen 5 aka Reshiram and Zekrom the rest are forgetful and ugly. Gen 5 and gen 9 easily the worst designs mons by a mile. Gen 5 is to abstract and Gen 9 is to generic.

Gen 4 still forever the best designs and it’s not even close.

Gen 4 is everything you just said: designs are complicated and ugly, mist mon are forgetful, worst legendaries, and it’s not even close.

Sinnoh is also the worst designed region with the worst characters in it, especially the top4+champion.
