Rampardos vs. Machamp

I'm trying to figure out which deck to play for states but which is better, rampardos or machamp .I'm not looking for detailed explanations ,I just want to know your opinion.
 
MACHAMP as it will give you a better late game power than rampardos (which sucks B*lls)
 
Rampardos definently. I personally would reccomend neither due to many weaknesses, but Machamp has no chance. It only takes a 50 attack to ohko champ X. With all the dusky decks out, champ has no chance. I know strong will will keep him in, and I know he can do alot, But i'm not buying it. Rampardos.

Besides the X, how does machamp have ANY late game power over rampardos? It takes an extra energy and a good amount of luck to do 10 more damage then rampardos' first attack, and rampardos can reduce damage. :/ Rampardos>>champ.
 
i say rampardos. machamp has to either play the LV.X (which is VERY RISKY) or get a bunch of heads, it is also easily shut off by unown G. rampardos however has a great body, it's second attack can be very stratigic when people are expecting otherwise (and for scoring OHKO's with pluspower) which then makes it a lot harder to kill you. it also doesn't hit itself for 40 unless it kills someone, which will only happen for the first 2-3 turns, late game you can just hit for 80 for 1 which is broken, then you can just use his second attack to kill them and make it so you last longer. so i say rampardos>>machamp.
 
Machamp. More Kung Fu than Rampardos. Rampardos takes too much rage, reversed psychology it is.

(Well, Rampardos just takes a chance to shoot itself in the HEAD)
 
In this particular matchup, you must take into consideration the fact that Rampardos is unaffected by Machamp Lvl X's body, giving Machamp extra HP and the ability to do 60 more damage.

I don't know, though. One of the main things I have against Rampardos is that it is a fossil, which makes it harder to get out.

So, Rampardos > Machamp, but Machamp would probably beat Rampardos thanks to the Lvl X(And before you say "Who plays the Lvl X?" Maybe people will now there's a derck it gives an actual advantage over.)
 
Rampardos deals 80 damage consistently for a single energy. That 40 damage backlash means nearly nothing. Also, it plows through all bodies and other defenses. Machamp relies on the T1 Donk (which can be foiled by Unown G) and merely attacks by nothing but coin flips.

why do people keep saying being fossil makes them bad!? it allows for a NM, bebes and roseannes in the card fossil excavator, and marleys request can get it as well. the only thing is that you can't grab with roseanes, fossil excavaotr takes care of that making it like you have 8 beebs and a luxury ball for tons of search.
 
Rampy will get his butt handed to him on a silver platter by Scizor/Shaymin though.

Unless he runs to MD one too, but even then it lacks something.

Which will in turn get its butt handed to them on a gold platter by any deck teching Dialga G LV.X.
I hear that's a lot of decks.

Agreed. Also, Shaymin will be good for States. So Rampardos is not such a good idea to use. *Little rodent giving rabies*

Machamp is better for the format, but Ramparods can be better if some of the cards that existed now would never exist.

... You're kidding right? 4 energy attacks are nothing but folly to use without energy acceleration, and no Donkchamp would use Regirock.
