RE: Rogue decks Help! (poll added)

Sorry varit did I mention my $5 buget for each main attacker? Any ways I am taking another go at Torterra UL. Tested the Hippowdon LV X deck, and it didn't preform as well as I hoped. Ok so my second try at the Torterra worked like a charm. I have decided to get 2 decks. The first is the Dusknior SF1, seeing how it just walls most of the MD on meta game. The second Torterra UL the massive recovery makes it very hard for most low damage decks to compet with, Thanks for all the help! I will still look at the forum to see if anyone posts any good ideas. CYA!

I am pretty sure this is rouge. Before the release of HG/SS cards, I used a Ludicolo PT/Cherim SF deck. Ludicolo PT has a power that all of Ludicolo's attacks does 60 more damage the next turn, but then your turn ends. Then you use it's second attack, and deal for 120 + addouts with Cherim SF and PlusPowers. I went 1-4 with it on states. (I met some of my country best players, so don't judge me)

It's being rotated, but a great rouge deck is Porygon-Z with technical machines. (Thanks to Regi for the Idea!) You can be pumping out 220 damage for a Double Colorless Energy. (8 TM's+Expert Belt) It won me a Battle Roads (3-0, no byes) and I wish I could take it larger scale. I wish it wasn't being rotated...

Steelix prime is a beastly rogue, run moo moo milk 4 poke healer + Skunktank G and Blissey PT, Blissey gets the energy in the discard for steelix to recover and skunktank poisons them each turn.

RE: Rogue decks Help! (poll added)

The decks you have listed are all pretty much garbage. Mothim swarm is far too inconsistant. There are much better walls than Bastiodon. Dusknoir is good in theory, but bad in execution. Finally, Hippowdon is good, but folds to very common decks: such as jumpluff, gyarados, and kingdra.

If anything, I'd say that torterra, T-tar, and Steelix are all decent walls. Torterra self heals, T-tar can take massive damage with Nidoqueen as a buddy, but is also able to deal massive damage. Steelix along with some healing cards (Such as Blissey PT) and Metal Energies can do quite a bit of walling, and deal decent damage...

HEY Zero! I am preparing for the MD-on format. Don't knock the decks before you try them the Mamoswine Swarm was fine just set up a swinub with a water and stall. Bastidon was ok and it pulls off a late game win. The dusknior acutally was the most consistant of the bunch having a self-draw engine. The hippowdon was the worst but the most disruptive. Most importantly my dad is Kinda strict with buying "expensive" cards.

Houndoom LA is okay; the body is good against high bench decks (read: just about everything in meta), but the attacks are meh. Also, Magmortar from UL, pair it with Delcatty/Ninetales and DCE's, you can do 150 every turn.

RE: Rogue decks Help! (poll added)

LOl on the the magmorter! I thought of that idea but with Rhyperior LV X I mean 200 for 0 thats good! But, it was frightluly inconsistant and vonerable to water.

Erm, I said nothing about Mamoswine Swarm. I have playtested most of the decks that I speak of. I did put very little effort into the lists, but they did poorly against most of the post-format decks: MewGar, T-tar, most SPs. Bastiodon might pull off a late-game win, but it is not very easy. Keep in mind, we're assuming that Bastiodon makes it past midgame. There are better ways to abuse Special Metal and when a Stage 2 deck sees Basiodon, they'll kick your setup and lock you down to Spiritomb. We might even see some Vileplume creativity going on soon, or some deafen hax. Bastiodon is not the best play.

Dusknoir looks fine. It being able to draw will really help next format, but the fact that it damages itself will make it a great sniping target. I can forsee it having a decent chance next format, especially if Mewtwo X is in there.

Hippowdon, now, will do OKAY. It will definetly fold if common decks now (Jumpluff or Kingdra for example) will continue to see play. Hippowdon will have trouble with getting setup because of how specific it is. It NEEDS cards in the discard, and has no Delcatty RS to do so. It will need some form of registark engine, but that can keep it going slow. Once again, your call. I am not a genius who knows everything about this game... just a person with an aptitude for odd-ball rogues, but once again, one must keep themselves honest with themselves. I learned that at nationals last year >.<

Next, about "expensive cards", Luxray does not make you win. You don't NEED that card. There are many ways to get cheap winners if you look into it. I'd highly recommend start trading for cards if you are tight on money. I'm sure you have SOMETHING that someone else needs...

RE: Rogue decks Help! (poll added)

Sorry about the mamoswine thing I thought you ment mamoswine not mothim. :) And I was aware of the posibility of the spiritomb lock thats why I added in a 2-2 steelix prime tech. With all due respect to steelix, preformed adiquetly, but not as well as the bastidon seeing as bastidon can block ALL damage for a turn (in my opinion). Ya, I was thinking Duslnoir Mewtwo too. The self damage was fixed with 4 SSUs, 4 potion, and 4 Poke healer +. I also like "odd-ball" decks to thats why I made this form.
On to the luxray "expensive" topic I of all people know that expensive cards don't always win games; it's just that some times people would sugest Luxray LV X techs or stough like that. Regardless I thought of a great cheep, but slightly risky tech, Luminion SF.

Yeah, Rhyperior is soooo slow. Magmortar does have its advantages tho lol

1. Faster
2. Easier to get 3 energy than 1.
3. Can swarm

I like using decks that play off energy to do high amounts of damage; they are super fun. Have you ever considered building Golem?

RE: Rogue decks Help! (poll added)

That's true no doubt, but I like the high HP of the Rhyperior and the fast recovery.

RE: Rogue decks Help! (poll added)

I'm with you on the love of rogue decks. my personal favorite has always been Octillery, but without Claydol it's dead in the water, so I've been working on a Blastoise/Floatzel deck, still a little slow and inconsistent, but with a good start you're sniping for 100 damage every turn by turn two or three.

RE: Rogue decks Help! (poll added)

Floatzel works pretty fast and I didn't have to buy the primes. I think either will work.

RE: Rogue decks Help! (poll added Need mewtwo help!)

AMBIPOM DONK

it's like shuppet but it uses sp and it is also uxie donk.

ambi g+dce+going first= nearly auto donk.

that might be fun.

anyway my idea was mewtwo w/ toxitank. straight psychic.
