Another One:

I attached a Metal energy to my Salamence d that already has 2 fire energies. the metal energy appeared in the middle of the two fire energies. The next turn I attached a Fire Energy and used Delta Blast. I tried to discard the Metal energy, by right clicking it, but a Fire Energy was discarded and the Metal Energy remained.

I was looking through the cards and I wanted to make an old-school deck. One thing I noticed was that a lot of the old-school cards (rocket and older) are mising essential poke-powers such as dark dragonair is missing evolutionary light and fossil aerodactyl is missing its evolution blocking poke-power. Were these things overlooked or are they not allowed to be used???

Also, when there is more data on the card than the card info box allows, the scroll bar does not appear unless you click and drag the cursor down to highlight the hidden text. Only then does the scroll bar appear.

Sorry, just an oversight. Please PM me if you notice more, as I won't get a chance to go over all of them in the next week or so, but I'll add it to my list.

Can you give a specific example? I couldn't reproduce it with a Blaine's Quiz trainer.

For the bugs and oversights:
When I double click on a trainer or energy in the deck builder, there is no information window that appears like when I double click on a pokemon card.

The card data on almost all of the older pokemon are incorrect.
There are no poke-powers on any of the Base Set pokemon or on a lot of other pokemon from the early sets.
There are no info/explanations on any special energy cards such as Scramble Energy or Warp Energy.

For some improvements:
I think there should be more filters for the deck builder.
Such as: Search by the pokemon's type (Fighting, Water), search by the attacks of the pokemon, how much damage an attack can do, the energy requirements of an attack, and card rarity.

I would like to see an Undo button for when I accidently discard something.

I would also like to be able to use the scroll wheel on my mouse to scroll through the deck builder's card lists.

Over all, the program is great and (with some improvements) it will be better than Apprentice.

I registered for Red Shark but how do I start it?

Once you install the program, you need to navigate to the location that you installed it in. It is usually installed in C:/redshark_beta/. From there, you can create a program shortcut to the desktop.

When you build your deck, click "Save and Use" in order to use it. If you want your deck to load when the program begins, type in the exact name of your deck in the Preferences area.

I think it would be nice if the program would automatically set the deck that you "Save and Use" as your default deck for the next time you play. That way, it would save a few extra steps.

Well I love the program. In the full version i suggest making it possible to use all theme decks that have been released, not just those 2 pre-constructed ones.

Another small thing i noticed, all the Bagon (d)'s say that they evolve from Bagon. I found this in the deck builder. Bagon is a basic pokemon.

I suggest a draw hotkey, as well as a shuffle one. Where it says attack names, it should do the attack when you click it.

When I double click on a trainer or energy in the deck builder, there is no information window that appears like when I double click on a pokemon card.

This is likely caused by the Card List Window (CLW) obscuring (or being on top of/above) the energy and trainer info windows.

This is a known issue, it is being addressed.

I'm not sure of your exact issue here, but the card text details for these special energies are included and should be visible via mouse-hover or the Card Info menu choice on the card's Rt-Clk popup menu.

My MS mouse's wheel works fine in the deck builder - so it can work. I'm running w2k.

I read the thread and didn't see this answered (I might have missed it), but when is Diamond and Pearl going to be added?

thanks DocRobot_K-176.
where is the save and use option

The deck builder has two operation modes:

1 - general
2 - player specific

The 'save and use' button only exists in the 'player specific' deck builder, which is launched by clicking the "edit/view/load..." button inside the "New Game Window".

All this info is in the Help File, under the Help menu.

Hope this helps.
