Shiny Mega Gengar and Diancie Distributions at Gamestop [9/8]

First again, lolz.

Glad to see we get this Gengar after all, equally glad we get Diancie BEFORE we get ORAS.

I hope this means we get the shiny M. Gengar EX card too. Seems more possible with the Metagross EX and M. Metagross EX cards.

An interesting distribution. Uh, will we be able to get them both if we pre-ordered both Smash 4 3DS and OR/AS at Gamestop?

You do not have to preorder at all to get these.

I was expecting Diancie, but Gengar is a pleasant surprise. Not a lot of nonessential events like these usually make it outside of Japan.

Yeah, if they try to pull that pre-order stuff, I will just mention that I did so already.
Also mention that this is a free giveaway, and if they don't give me one I will complain to Nintendo.

I'm not liking these serial code shenanigans. I really wish local wireless Mystery Gifts could come back...

dmaster out.

Yeah, like, I get that printing a bunch of codes is easier than sending a distribution cart that has to be set up and could get "lost", and it's all right for small-time events like in-game Mega Stones/Shiny Gengar, but it's not going to be good if GameStop has those same supply issues with one of this gen's event Pokemon.

Diancie. Yet another Pokemon that I will NEVER be able to get as long as I don't live in a Nintendo-supported country. In my opinion all events must be Wi-Fi.

What about the rest of Europe?
This.
As a british person myself, I don't particularly care for this unless we get confirmation on a european distribution for at least Diancie. the Gengar would be a bonus though.

I already have a shiny Gengar, so I don't care... I only want them to publish the shiny M Gengar-EX!!!

I feel like they should start looking into how they keep or secure their carts considering how many times they get "lost." It was really an efficient way of doing things and serial codes is not and never will be in this technology era.

dmaster out.

I'm so glad I live up the street from a Gamestop now. I'm really excited to get my hands on a legit English Diancie ^_^

Me, I have at least three different Gamestops in easy driving distance from my location. That being said though it's kind of sad to me that not everyone has that accessibility. Wi-fi really would be so much more efficient and more convienent really,

Ditto. I understand them not wanting to lose the carts and whatnot, but I would think it would be easier for an Wi-Fi event since it wouldn't take much than if printing out the serial codes. If they're concerned about people who don't have a good enough bandwidth (or not live close to a McDonald's) they could always have a Wi-Fi event running and those who can't get it can go to a GameStop and get the code.

Personally I've never heard of these carts being stolen, misplaced or otherwise lost. But that's besides the point I suppose. Actually really printing out the serial codes probably takes more, at least in terms of money.

Our McDonalds has never had a Pokemon game event. It's either been Gamestop or Toys R Us for us.
