Okay, I've decide to set out what happens to all the crime teams in the games

Kanto: Team Rocket - Giovanni - Unknown
Johto: Same Again - Archer - defeated and flees.
Hoenn: Aqua and Magma - Maxie and other one - can't remember
Sinnoh: Team Galactic - Cyrus - Flees into Distoryion World.
Isshu: Team Plasma - N - ???

dont say that N is the leader of TP, i thought it was confirmed that he wasnt part of it...and even if it hasnt, i still wont believe it until we are given more info

And Cyrus apparently is sitting in the Distortion World right now plotting a new method of destroying the world as of the end of Platinum.

although pokermanz is a kids game, the japanese culture is much more open to suicide. like in the middle ages, people would hari-kari themselves over dishonor....ive heard of people in japan today killing themselves over things like losing their job

Yes but that was a long time ago. And people kill themselves after things like that in North America too. Japan isn't the only place with the capability of becoming depressed. And even if they did include suicide, they know that it is not generally accepted within our culture to place the idea of suicide into a children's game. They would have to take it out for North American releases.

I already posted about this in another thread, but I thought it would make for good discussion on it's own. So do you think Team Rocket should return in Black and White? Not of course as a major plotline because that would interfere with Team Plasma's story, but maybe as a little side story after the Elite 4. Maybe you would reach their HQ by plane? And Giovanni would be like Red in G/S/C and stronger than the Elite 4. Thoughts?

Giovanni, in G/S/C/HG/SS said he quit TR, and he was done with them. I don't think TR should be in B/W, maybe in another generation, but not B/W.

He doesn't say he's done with them in HG/SS. He just says you remind him of the kid who ended his plans 3 years ago and leaves.

Personally, i dont like all this "Team Plasma" stuff and i especially didnt like "Team Galactic" from Pearl. Team Rocket is the original and i think they should always be attempting to interfere.

@tarazuma, team rocket was the original baddies so they will always get special treatment(like how the original starters are getting new abilities) and at the end of gsc/hgss, one grunt ran off saying that he would start tr again in his home country

Agreed. Bowser's been the main villain in Mario since the beginning. Why can't Team Rocket be the same?

bevaise hopefully gamefreaks waiting to make a great end story to it. perhaps a revival that does work and giovanni trues to stop it post story? or maybe there have been grunts in all the teams passing aong info to the good guys so that tr can stay on top?

This is one thing I hate about modern Mario games. Mario RPG, Super Paper Mario, and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story got it right by making Bowser be an anti-hero and having a whole new villian. I was so annoyed that Bowser was the villian in Mario Galaxy. I mean seriously, wtf. Why couldn't it have been Tatanga (the boss from Super Mario Land) or some new evil aliens? Nope, it's boring old Bowser and his disgusting little mutant freak Bowser Jr, for the millionth time.

I just HATE recurring villians, in most cases. (There are some I like though) But Team Rocket sucks, they have pathetic, generic goals, and are easily outclassed by Team Galatic and even Team Aqua and Magma.

Team Rocket has the simplest goal. Take over the world without changing it. That's why Aqua, Magma and especially Galactic are stupid enemy teams.

But Cyrus was just sooo boring. Emotionless. Team Rocket was actually a seemingly intelligent syndicate that had clear goals in mind. Cyrus just wanted to destroy the world and create a new one, even though that would probably end in his own downfall. I dunno, I just thought Team Galactic was so stupid. There was no character development or outstanding personality traits in their team.

anyway tr can do anything so im sure atleast giovanni knows about isshu. he probably has agents in orre and other regions we dont know about. i bet he has an agent in your room
