States Predictions

Again, so many people have been saying this. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT WON THE ECC. It might have a small impact , but seriously, that is Europe, and this is not. I think that everyone thinks they know what is good and what is bad. And they are going to play accordingly. IMO, the ECC is just the ECC, and States are just States.

The ECC may be in Europe, but it's the first official tournament we've seen with ND cards, meaning they are the only up to date results we have. Many players will be looking at the results to try and decide what to play for States. This could mean either using the decks that won or building decks that counter the decks that won. The ECC metagame decides the States metagame.

The ECC will definitely affect the Metagame here. Like Cinema said, it is the first HS-ND tournament we've seen and people will play expecting the decks that won. Remember Nationals 2011? Everyone changed to Yanmega after that.

in case you didnt know zek eels is big in japan as well. it just points how consistent this deck is.mewtwo based decks were also big in japan when it was first introduced another testament on the strength of CMT/EXTC and other mewtwo variants. the strength and consistency of these two decks just shows it goes beyond national boundaries.
