Strange Weather History Thread

RE: Weather changes? Or is it just me?

I had no snow on the ground for X-Mas and I live in MN. That is quite a rarre thing. It's still hanging around mid 30s which is at least 10 degrees warmer than average.

Lately, I noticed that the state hasn't been getting much snow, and I wonder if it's because of something. Someone told me they think it was the Japan earthquake. It must've been so strong that it even tilted the earth's axis. Maybe that's why we haven't been seeing snow lately in this state.

Anyone else notice these changes in other states? Or is it just me? :(
Disclaimer- I didn't read anything in this thread except the OP.

Anyway, my state (Washington) hasn't gotten any snow this year. Usually they have a good amount by this time of year.

I know the ski resorts up in the mountains an hour away from my house have had plenty. We also got hail one time. But yeah, there's some definite changes where I'm living. It's predicted we won't get any snow this year. :(

RE: Weather changes? Or is it just me?

These posts are reminding me of a really long quote Aeolus said in a book called The Lost Hero;
"Hello, Olympus! Aeolus, master of the winds here, with weather every twelve! We'll have a low-pressure system moving over Florida today, so expect milder temperatures since Demeter wishes to spare the citrus farmers! Along the eastern seaboard,-- oh, hold on. Sorry folks Poseidon is angry with Miami today, so it looks like that Florida freeze will be back on! Sorry, Demeter. Over in the Midwest, I'm not sure what St. Louis did to offend Zeus, but you can expect winter storms. Boreas himself is being called down to punish the area with ice. Bad news Missouri! No, wait. Hephaestus feels sorry for central Missouri, so you all will have much more moderate temperatures and sunny skies."

Thumbs up to whoever knows what I'm talking about! Yeah, so back on topic. There hasn't been any snow since October which kinda stinks, because I would've loved a snow day....

RE: Weather changes? Or is it just me?

Over here in England we've had some snow, but nothing big in early December. Compared to last year (we got a ton mid Jan-early Feb and some mid to late Dec) it hasn't been snowy at all, and some days it has actually been mildly sunny.

RE: Weather changes? Or is it just me?

We got some snow yesterday, and this time, I don't think it's gonna go away. FINALLY. :D

...I can assume that this thread is free to lock, but I'd like for you to post some strange weather that you remember as a memory. ^ ^
I got a lot of rain in Gerogia's Six Flags amusement park, and strangely enough, it was summer. -.-

We are getting pelted by snow here in Redmond (Seattle area). The big storm weather.com and weatherbug.com have been predicting is here. In my backyard, our snow gauge reads 8 in. and counting. 4 fresh inches today, which is weird because our average annual snow is 5.9 in.
About a week ago, we had a messed up pressure system with two mountain ranges and a coast (which later caused this storm). Near here, in Bellingham, it was 60 degrees Fahrenheit at 6 a.m. and at thesame time in Orlando I think it was 38 degrees. Imagine that...

I live in Virginia and we didn't get our first snowfall until last week. But I really don't care since our last 3 winters have been just awful.

I hear ya bud. I'm here in Virginia too and the last snowfall didn't even count. This kinda blows :(
