When creating a thread in the Deck Garage, make sure that you post one deck per thread, you use the correct prefix, you have the set name/card number next to each card, you give a strategy for non-metagame decks, and give translations for all cards not available in English.
When posting in a thread, be sure to explain all your suggestions thoroughly. Additionally, do not ask for advice in another member's thread.
Nigel said:The 4-1-4 Blastoise line seems good as it is, but there are quite a few issues with your deck that I need to point out. Firstly, your supporter line is very unorthodox. I'd try adding more Junipers to help your consistency. 3 or 4 is the norm. Also, Rock Guard is probably the worst ace spec you could play in here. Try playing Computer Search for the built in consistency or Dowsing Machine for the late game Scrappers/SERs (I prefer Dowsing machine for this reason). Speaking of scrappers, with Darkrai/Yveltal/Garb being hyped in this next set, I'd add another one to make that matchup a little more favorable.
It seems you're sacrificing Blastoise's best matchups by not playing Black Kyurem-EX in here.. This deck would practically take an autoloss from any consistent metadeck due to that fact. As a result, I'd make sure to play it.
In addition to that, your Pokemon line is really messed up. A 1-0-1 Greninja line is going to get you nowhere in a deck that focuses on taking OHKOs. Also, the amount of singleton cards in here isn't good, especially due to the fact that Blastoise already has lategame consistency problems as is.
Here are the changes I'd make to your list.
-1 Froakie (Taking out with Greninja)
-1 Greninja (Pointless in a deck focusing on OHKOs)
-1 Suicune PLB (Don't play singleton attackers)
-1 Mewtwo-EX (Don't play singleton attackers)
-1 Kyurem-EX (Don't play singleton attackers)
-1 Cassius (A good idea, but not needed since
-1 Cilan (Putting in Electrode instead for late game consistency, also allows you to get energies quicker)
-1 Colress (Putting in Electrode instead for late game consistency)
-1 Silver Mirror (Not good in an aggressive deck, which should focus on EX attackers)
-1 Muscle Band (Has no point since you want to focus on OHKOs)
-2 Energy Retrieval (SER is better. 4 energies helps you out so much with pretty much any attacker)
-3 Switch (Pointless because of Rush In)
-3 Water Energy (for lightning energies and Professor's Letter)
-1 Rock Guard (Dowsing Machine is the better Ace Spec in Blastoise)
+1 Dowsing Machine (Best Ace Spec in Blastoise)
+2 Electrode (Lategame consistency, makes you immune to N)
+2 Voltorb (for Electrode)
+2 Black Kyurem-EX (great at OHKOing, seals your Plasma and Genesect matchups)
+2 Keldeo-EX (Great ability helping you against Lasers, and also a good attacker)
+1 Tool Scrapper (Helps your Garbodor Matchup)
+2 Professor Juniper (4 isn't needed here due to Shauna)
+3 Super Energy Retrieval (4 is a staple in all Blastoise builds)
+1 Ultra Ball (Helps you search out any attacker in here)
+2 Lightning Energies (for Black Kyurem-EX)
+1 Professor's Letter (essentially a double Energy Search... almost like a Cilan if it wasn't a supporter).
In the end, your list should look like this...
4-1-4 Blastoise
2-2 Electrode
2 Black Kyurem-EX
3 Keldeo-EX
1 Colress
4 Skyla
3 Professor Juniper
4 N
2 Shauna
1 Float Stone
4 Superior Energy Retrieval
4 Rare Candy
4 Ultra Ball
2 Tool Scrapper
1 Dowsing Machine (ACE SPEC)
1 Professor's Letter
9 Water
2 Lightning
Also, if you have Beaches, I'd suggest playing them over Electrode. However, they're expensive and I'm assuming you're a newer player, so Electrode makes a good replacement. Also, if you're unsure about all the cards in here that force you to discard other cards (ex. Ultra Ball, SER, Dowsing Machine), then you could play an Exeggcute. However, it's really unnecessary, especially thanks to Electrode.

It's Electrode PLF... the one with drawpower...

What?
Do you want a strategy for VirGen with this deck?
zavtac said:Very need more BKEX. Much better than the pony (Keldeo. Such very consistent deck. Many no need for techs for virgen. Extremely want maybe delphox for drawpower. Wow.
