Super Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U

Was just wondering. No worries man. Not sure about Roselina. I don't have the game yet.:)

With Pokemon ORAS and SSBWiiU coming out the same day, I am gonna be stressed both mentally and financially. Luckily for me, I do not own a Wii U, so I might just be downloading Omega Ruby.

I am excited to see what they add to the Wii U version. Seeing the HD images of the secret characters in the 3DS version is getting me hyped for this game.

Some places have an early demo in the stores like Best Buy and game stores that have docks where you can play the games before they are officially released. They have been doing that for years and years XD.:)

In a few days they will have codes to download the demos for the games. My question is why codes for the demos? I can see doing it for a Pokemon event but not for the games. They should make the demos readily available like Nintendo does for all their games. Makes no sense to use coding codes for demos.:)

SNAAAAAP

You mean codes for the Wii U version? That would be awesome.

Edit: nvm, false alarm. My Google-fu may be weak, but I don't see any Wii U demos on the horizon. ;-;

Might be for the 3DS I don't know but I read that you will need codes for the demos. Must be for Wii U or am I thinking OR/AS? If so I probably posted in the wrong thread thinking it was Smash Bros instead of OR/AS XD.:)

I wouldn't mind a Smash Wii U demo but I think they're focusing more on the OR/AS ones tbh. I wouldn't get my hopes up, personally.

dmaster out.

They did have codes for the 3ds smash, a long time ago. Early access demos, they made it available a long time ago anyways, and the game is out. If they announced a wii U demo, the entire gaming media would be freaking out

Yeah I think it was OR/AS come to think of it. Sorry guys I think I got the wrong thread.:)

I have a dilemma on my hands now. I've tried out every character in the only ways I know how and can only say what options I like. Not all are even on this list for their performance either.Bowser. Rosalina, Pit, Pitoo, Palutena, Kirby, Greninja, Duck Hunt, Villager, and Lucinna. These are all the characters I'm considering maining, but I don't know which one to pick or which is best for me.
I should describe how I play...
I tend to be the type to hit what's in front of me and do less blocking but more countering, dodging, and reflecting. I tend to charge in headfirst and will sometimes take advantage of an enemy being attacked by another. I'm also not one for characters with bad jumping and recovery capabilities, preferring speed above al else. But I also like to have some way to attack from a distance if necessary. I tend to avoid items and don't like having to avoid and maneuver around moving stages, as I can't easily focus on that while fighting. Oh, and a character that can fight back in the air would be wonderful too.
So, out of all the characters on the roster, which one do you think is most recommended for me? I can't wait to find out and be able to go through level 9 classic and paly for Glory

Have you considered Pikachu? Although it lacks a counter or a reflect, it has almost everything else you ask for:
  • Has multiple approach techniques, including quick attack, headbutt, thunder jolt, or just plain running (it's really fast)
  • Has great recovery, although it takes a lot of practice to use properly. Pikachu is one of the few characters that can actually go from ledge to ledge UNDER the stage (although that's not too useful outside of stalling).
  • Pikachu's aerials are extremely solid, and all combo really well with the rest of its moves. Pikachu is all about chaining moves together using throws, aerials, and tilts, before using its jab, thunder jolt, and thunder to ledge-guard.

An alternative I might list would be Lucario, who lacks Pikachu's speed, but hits a lot harder (especially at high percentages). He's still pretty good in the air, and I'd say Aura sphere is a good deal better for spacing/approach than thunder jolt. Oh, and he actually has a counter.

Good luck!

I'll try Pikachu, but I've never gotten that comfy with Lucario. I guess it's because he's so fast in pokemon games and movies but is okay speed in Smash, like how mewtwo in melee was somehow slower than Pikachu and lighter than Ivysaur and Young Link. Any other recommendations?

I just picked the character I liked most from their respective game. For me, that character happens to be Lucina, who unfortunately can't deal with projectiles for jack if you're impatient. For Glory is always a struggle! \o/

If an opponent has the hammer Pikachu can stop them with the back kick. or the electro drill from behind. If you use these techniques correctly you can easily stop an opponent. The Back Kick is more effective than the electro drill but it is worth it. I used to use the back kick a lot with Pikachu on the N64 and it was great for stopping anyone who had the hammer.:)
