Super Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U

I do find it odd that CF and JP haven't been revealed yet, but CF has been my main since the franchise began, so I will be heartbroken if he isn't included.

I think CF has a better chance than Jigglypuff, since we have more Pokemon characters already so far.
 
Like Yoshi and Bowser, I'm predicting that Sakurai is holding out on the reveal of Captain Falcon because he's making major changes to the character. It makes sense considering Captain Falcon and Ganondorf are clones of each other.

I guess the same could be said about Falco to Fox, but Falco does have some differentiating qualities.
 
What I find odd is that everyone that was in Melee has not shown up either. That was the last game I played since. Dr. Mario has not been announced yet either. besides those 3 characters you guys mentioned. I doubt G & W will make it though because he was not powerful enough and he is slow too.:)
 
Mr. Game & Watch was technically confirmed at the end of the Pacman trailer, actually.
 
iirc Falcon and Puff have never been revealed pre release, for whatever reason. It would be more unusual if they _did_ reveal them beforehand.

Samurai Goroh is also an assist trophy so Falcon's chances are still looking as good as ever.

Those two, Ganondorf, Falco and/or Wolf, Wario, Ness, and G&W (technically not confirmed, but yeah he pretty much is) are all as good as in imo. I'm hoping for Ray from Custom Robo and Isaac from Golden Sun as well but those are obviously unlikely. Who knows, though. We did get Pit in Brawl, so it isn't entirely unrealistic.

Aside from them, I can't think of any other characters that I really want in this game. The roster has pretty much everyone already. Maybe Bomberman? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
 
I personally recall Captain Falcon's reveal on the Brawl website, but I also recall Brawl having everything revealed a lot faster.
 
No, I specifically remember the news update on the smashbros dojo website being Captain Falcon's reveal one day, and this was before the game was out in Japan and before all the characters were leaked. At least that's how I remember it.

Not really...

That wasn't a character confirmation at all. I'm pretty sure Sakurai even said that he was just there with Pac-Man to compare the years of those characters to the year with Mario and Donkey Kong. So it was really just more of a tease than anything else.

Falco, Ganondorf, and a nerfed Meta Knight may as well be confirmed too

How do you actually know this for sure. Just because they made Melee and Brawl does not mean they will not make it in the 4th version. Look what happened to Young Link. He never made it back after Melee XD.:)

That's because Toon Link took his role since Young Link was the only other Link we had until Wind Waker. Also, they never said they know for sure.

I hope that Jigglypuff isn't in this Smash Bros. Never liked her. Captain Falcon will probably be in because he's a staple of the series, Ganondorf is one of the most popular and long-lasting Nintendo villains, Falco is an important character in a big franchise (also relevant because of the new Wii U Star Fox) and Meta Knight is a popular character from Kirby, and he also starred in the newest game.
 
Jigglypuff has as much chance of being taken out as Mario does

Also, digging Mario's USA outfit in today's update.
 
So there's going to be a new character reveal this Monday during a Live Stream on the Smash Bros. website. Assuming this is a new challenger I'm hoping for Chrom (or any other FEA rep) to finally be reveal.

I'm betting it's gonna be one we'd least expect. I mean, he's been giving us nothing but characters we've wanted and expected lately. We even expected Pac-Man since it's being made with Namco's help. So, now all we need is some random unexpected character to fly in. I'll laugh if they put in Raiden from MGR:R to make Kojima sorta happy even though he wanted Snake. But, if any Metal gear character gets in, I wanna hear some Revengeance music!
 
I think it will be Mewtwo. This would be a great announcement because it would tie in with the new Pokemon games coming out this fall. Also Jigglypuff can't be out of smash as she was one of the original 12 characters to date. She is so annoying to use that is so true. Found out the hard way on the N64 when I had to do her platforms. I remember how hard that long gap at the end was. SO ANNOYING XD.:)
 
Mewtwo isnt in Hownn and has no excuse to be. Plus, we already have a rep for XY. Not only that, but a Lucario sprite found in RS kinda tells us Lucario will be in Hoenn this time.
 
Apparently the Xenoblade creator retweeted Nintendo regarding the character reveal, so there's talk it may be Shulk. Evidently there's a history between Monolith Soft developer retweets and Nintendo announcements -- it usually means they have something to do with what's announced.

Not that it matters to me much; I've never played Xenoblade, although I'd be excited for any new challenger.
