Dark Void said:Your previous post made it seem to me like you thought VG had a vastly positive matchup against Blastoise (which a lot of people seem to think) which I disagree with. And how exactly are you going to stream an Ace Spec? Aside with that, I agree completely with the first turn thing. Its sad how often games are determined by a single coin flip.
If everything plays out, you can get an t1 attachment, then t2 attachment and colress machine to charge up genesect (with booster), wash rinse repeat 2 more times to take the game, there's also Virizion who (if needed) can accelerate energy until you have all you need. In reference to how VG matches up against blastoise, I wouldn't say that it's a vastly positive matchup, but especially if the deck runs keldeo it is a positive one for Genesect.
I've heard word of cutting Keldeo from the list after Plasma blast, but I think Keldeo's pretty prime to the deck . Mainly as a switching method and a status reliever. If you take it out you're crippling part of the deck that needs to be there, not to mention the water weak pokemon out there. Having the ability to retain energy and one shot with keldeo (instead of using BK), is just as good as retaining energy and one shotting keldeo with genesect.
I mean nobody's done any really extensive testing (I'de consider extensive >50 matches), so we can't do anything but theorymon. But since tcg began, having type advantage has been important (I realize it's not the main part of the deck that has weakness, but a vital part of it does).
