Topic: What Pokemon do you predict to rise and fall in usage based off Excadrill and Thundurus being banned?
 
I thing Gastroddon is going to fall in usage but it would still be used because it is immune to Water-Electric combo that most Rain teams have. Gliscor will face the same destiny because Skarmory handles Scrafty and Landorus better.

Volcarona will rise in usage just like Sun and Rain. Landorus and Terrakion are going to be main Sand sweepers now. Also Raikou, Zapdos, Tornadus and Jolteon are going to raise in usage to be the main Thunder/hurricane abusers.
 
Alot of stuff that just wasn't usable with those two in the metagame will rise like zapdos, tornadus mabye, jolteon, and magnezone.

im kinda not sure about which way volcarona will go because without exadrill around it won't have such a hard time against sand teams, but it's almost dead wieght against rain teams which where already good enough with excadrill.
 
I'm sure Gliscor will drop in usage, but Im not sure it'll be that bad. He still has nice status absorbing, physical walling, and stall breaking abilities. Gastrodon, though, will probably drop a lot. Who's left to counter, washtom? It's not like the lati@s and Blissey can do that.

Isn't it kinda counter-productive to get rid of the comptetive pokemon groups so the competitive pokemon sections get posted in?

I know this isn't my team, but I just wanted to point out that Shining Raikou is making an announcement about Competitive Groups later this month, hopefully this week sometime.
 
Same here. But I am worried about the activity level because nobody posts on Team D site anymore and this thread had at least some activity.
 
I know what ya mean, but you gotta remember some of the members may still be in school and don't have much time to be doing the online stuff for the team.
 
I got the PO server back up since I'm back home. I will also try and post more often.

I'd like the next topic to be, how well do you think you do as a team rater? What things do you think you do well with team rating and what things do you think you could get better at?
 
I think I do pretty well. My good sides are choosing the moves and pokemon considering the synergy. I think I could be better with EV spreads.
 
I don't think I'm all that great at rating teams, I have a lack of self confidence. But when I do try to rate a team, I look at how the team works together and at least try to get the big issues pointed out.

I could probly get better at using more pokemon than the six i use for everything, so i broaden my experience to more than one tier / team syle / stratagy.
