RE: Do tablets run videos?

Yeah I am not downloading just Streaming XD. $220.00 seems a bit high. Anything else that is cheaper and will do the same thing?:)

RE: Do tablets run videos?

Not if you want good quality.
I guess you could search for a 1st gen Nexus 7 on ebay if you don't mind getting something used. I still have my first gen Nexus 7 and it's great.

A cheaper tablet may stop playing to do buffering.

What is the Android Flash Player that plays Flash Games on Websites?

I am asking because on my HKC tablet I can't find the flash player that would run them so I need help. Thanks XD.:)

I don't know much about the HKC tablet, but there should be "apps" somewhere on the home screen. Most tablets don't come with flash, so you must download them via applications. When you get to "apps," search for adobe flash or whatever, and something should pop up. If they don't have a name you would recognize, look at the reviews and ratings.

What level of Android is it running?

RE: What is the Android Flash Player that plays Flash Games on Websites?

It is a 4.1 Jellybean HD XD Android tablet. It does not run adobe flash player so I need to know which player in the app store is the best one. Thanks XD.:)

I was not going recommend any at Google Play. I was going to recommend a site. This site has Adobe Flash Player app.

RE: What is the Android Flash Player that plays Flash Games on Websites?

OK where do I go to get the app? I don't see one in the app store. I tried to download that from their website and it says it does not support Adobe Flash Player XD.:)

Now that's something interesting. Such exoskeletons may prove to be the future in cases like this. What makes it that much amazing is the cost-it's actually rather low, especially considering the results.

I'm not sure if my question fits here but since there's no more adequate thread, here it goes.
I have a problem when going to wikis: the pictures from the galleries don't show up and I can't even click on it to open them on a new tab, there's just the frame of the picture but without any content. I can see the images that are along the text but none of the ones from the "gallery" (if it has a gallery at the bottom) nor the independent "gallery" page.
I don't know if it's connected to the issue but I also can't see the latest uploaded pictures that were supposed to show on the right, a little bellow the wiki's search bar, instead appearing some loading bars that never end loading.
For example:
http://assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/Aveline_de_Grandpr%C3%A9
http://assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/Aveline_de_Grandpr%C3%A9/Gallery

My OS is Windows XP and my browser is still Internet Explorer 8. I've tried updating my Adobe Flash Player but it didn't make a difference.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not an expert, but it sounds like a browser issue to me, especially since you're using a browser that is several years old. Newer versions of IE are not supported on Windows XP, but many other up-to-date internet browsers are, including Firefox, Opera, Chrome, etc, so I would suggest you download and use one of those.

Something of an aside, but I would actually highly suggest upgrading your OS as well. As of April 8th of this year Microsoft will be dropping support for XP. Because you will no longer be able to get security updates, your PC will be significantly at risk, and it's a good time for an upgrade. That is one of the many reasons why I recently got a new PC this year, since my last computer was a laptop still running XP.

Thanks for your answer.

I was afraid of that. Why is that one day you can still see something and the next one you don't!? (rethorical question) *facepalm*
This year my PC will celebrate its 10th anniversary so perhaps I'll also buy a new one.

Which OP do you suggest? I would like to keep with Microsoft's (only for familiarity reasons) but I've been hearing that some of the new ones are just a mess and complicated (Vista and 7).

Btw, do you know if my "Favorites" links disappear when changing from IE8 to another browser?

Thanks once again.

My wife's laptop has Windows 8. It is not terrible after I made it look and act like Windows 7.

While I'm not particularly well-versed in IE, I know that there is usually a way to save/transfer/import links between browsers. Firefox actually has this as a built-in feature of its browser; you can read more about it here. You can even save your bookmarks/favourites as a file that can be read by your new computer/OS so you don't lose any links if/when you upgrade.

If you buy a new PC now, there's a very good chance it'll come with Windows 8 for your OS. Windows 8 has its pros and cons (though you can get rid of or ignore most of the cons with a few tweaks), and has some significant differences when compared to earlier OSes, but it's fast and secure and you'll have the most options when buying a computer with Windows 8. To be honest, you don't have too many other choices. Windows 7 is very nice, but you can't really find computers with 7 preinstalled anymore, so you'd have to buy (and even find) Windows 7 on top of the cost of the computer, which is a significant monetary addition and probably not worth it. There's the various Mac OSes if you buy an Apple computer, but I personally find them incredibly overpriced for what you get (plus the lack of gaming support), so I can't in good faith recommend it, and learning a Mac OS would be even more different than learning the upgrades to Windows 8. There are also the various Linux OSes that you can install and use for free, but Linux OSes have a very limited software pool (even more limited than Mac OS) and can be difficult to work with if you're not a very tech savvy person; they have lots of customizing potential, but it's not something I would recommend to the average computer user.

Yeah, it's not worth buying a PC with an OS and then buy another one. Since it has the option to tweak with it (like you and omahanime said) it's better to just accept and learn with the OS included in the new pc.

Thank you for your answers!

The L Button on my 3DS has become unresponsive at times (responds to input around half the time). I've had it since launch and have put in at least 1000 hours on it, so I'm pretty impressed. When I pick up Smash Bros. for 3DS this summer, I'm probably going to be getting a new one. Which model should I get, the 3DS or the 3DS XL? I'll be taking it to university so battery life is a big deal. Is the difference in the battery lives between the 3DS and the XL significant enough to warrant spending the extra money?

IGN says difference between the two is about half-an-hour, so I wouldn't get an XL JUST for that. But if you can spare the money and don't need it to be super-portable, I'd go with an XL. Here's a post I made a while back about this:

One more thing. I got $50 bucks in Best Buy gift cards and I was wondering if it is worth upgrading to the XL 3DS. Any advice?

If you can, I'd go for it. As long as you're not planning on carrying it in your pocket, or being the most diehard fan of Fluidity: Spin Cycle, it's a better piece of hardware. Nintendo made a point not to add any extra features to it so as not to draw criticism over a releasing a new version of the system within 18 months, but the build quality is definitely better. The normal 3DS is very cramped internals-wise; they got it as small as they could, apparently. Since the XL is bigger, stuff got a bit better. That bulging you're talking about isn't there. The oil marks that are laid onto the top screen from the bottom's border isn't an issue (they might have fixed that in later manufacturing runs of the normal 3DS, actually). The start, select, and home buttons are more buttony. You may want to take what I'm saying with a grain of salt, since I've never actually touched one, but I am parroting people I trust, including SotS:

The 3DS XL launched today in America, and let me tell you, it IS the 3DS. It feels very, very sturdy in comparison to the original 3DS. The screens are just amazing; very immersive with 3D. The over-all design feels way comfier, and the screen scratch issue seems to be fixed. MY goodness I know this is just first week hyperbole most likely, but I'm not disappointed one bit. (I did the Gamestop trade-in thing where you bought the system, transferred stuff over, returned the system, then "re-bought" it with trade-in 3DS.) The blue is a really nice shade. Didn't get to see red, but I don't mind, I never really liked red...

Can anyone confirm that the 3DS XL stretches DS game pictures too far? Is it worth exchanging my regular sized for an XL?

I popped old DS games into my 3DS XL, first Advance Wars: Dual Strike (save game circa 2005!) and an old favorite, Kirby Canvas Curse. Both looked huge and excellent when blown up on the 3DS XL; maybe a little jaggy because of the bigger screen but only in a hey-these-games-are-kind-of-old-and-look-cool-because-they-now-look-a-bit-chunky kind of way. I loaded up some old favorites from the downloadable line of DSiWare games. The vastly underrated two-toned Descent-a-like X-Scape from Q-Games looked sharp on the 3DS XL. So did the 3DS-only eShop game Pushmo (aka the best 3DS game of last year). GBA games hold up on the 3DS XL's upper screen as well.

The nice thing is that the XL's screen is large enough that you can use true pixel resolution for DS games and not have to squint.
