Ch 10
The Final Change?
BOOM! I awoke with a jolt and hit my head on some thing hard. I opened my eyes to see a large icicle hanging from the ceiling.
“What was that?” Kale yelled. Kale and Ace were both awake.
“Grab your pokeballs we need to find out what that was!” Ace exclaimed.
We all got up and ran out of the room with me in the back. I stopped quickly to look in the mirror.
My face was changed. No feathers; it only turned my skin the color of my feathers. Listen to me,
Only. I rushed out the door to catch the others.
We left the front door to see multitudes of fire pokemon running from the warehouse that was next door.
I grabbed a pokeball and threw it, “Forest grab one of the pokemon with vine whip.” He appeared from the ball with a flash and sent out two vines into the rampage. They came out with a small monkey pokemon in their grasps. The small monkey was struggling to get out.
“Forest calm him down with a small sleep power,” I commanded. He sprinkled a few flakes of the powder on the flailing pokemon. “What are you running from?”
The monkey whispered his answer then fell asleep from exhaustion.
“What did Chimchar say?” Ace asked seeing my astonished look.
“Mewtwo,” then another large explosion. I turned to the warehouse, which looked more like a volcano with the fire coming from the top. I could see it. White and purple with a blue aura around it; flying out of the roof.
“Oh no…” Kale said astonished. “We need to stop it!”
The boys started to charge the warehouse. Mewtwo saw them and descended below the roof into the main room. Forest followed Ace and Kale and dropped Chimchar on the spot.
We can’t leave him here.
As I ran I picked up Chimchar and followed the others to the warehouse. Once inside Ace and Kale sent out their pokemon when Ace stopped me. “Your pokemon aren’t strong enough yet. Let us handle this.”
I nodded in agreement and focused all my energy on using a barrier. With my eyes closed I envisioned an invisible wall rising around me. I could feel the wind made by Mewtwo stop. I opened my eyes and felt the wall. It was very sturdy, just like when I was trapped on the bed. Now all Forest and I could do was watch.
Kale and Ace both threw a pokeball high and in a flash Dragonite and Froslass appeared. Both were ready to fight. Without even a command Dragonite flew high into the air and whipped his tail into a large twister which was soaring towards Mewtwo. He did not even blink an eye he waved his hand. With the wave it was reflected back at Dragonite! Before he could react the twister swallowed him up.
“Return him Kale its super effective!” Ace yelled.
“Please don’t miss,” Kale whispered as he held the pokeball and aimed carefully. He shot the red jet and yelled. “Dragonite return!” The beam went into the tornado and flew back quickly. The pokeball dinged signifying the return.
“You need to choose your type not just the pokemon Kale! Froslass use Ominous Wind!” The coldest most eerie breeze flew through. It was so cold we could feel it inside the shield. Mewtwo was hit by it straight on. Mewtwo was knocked backwords and was hit hard.
“Yes he can do it!” I yelled.
Mewtwo stabilized itself mid air and started to glow green. The cuts on him started to heal.
Recover…
“We need to take it down in one shot! I hope this works!” Kale yelled as he reached for his belt. In his hands were all 5 of his remaining pokemon which he threw into the air. In a large flash Ursaring, Blastoise, Blaziken, Aggron, and Raquaza were ready to battle. “Use Hyper beam, Hydro Cannon, Blast Burn, Metal Sound, and Dragon Pulse!”
The massive attack flew at Mewtwo at a tremendous speed. The attacks put into one made a brilliant white light. Mewtwo did not even react; a barrier arose between him and the attack. The beam was reflected back at the pokemon and the resulting explosion knocked them all through the wall! The resulting explosion was loud enough it even made Chimchar start to wake up.
“NOOOOOO!” Kale exclaimed as he chased after his pokemon.
“Kale take them to the pokemon center. I’ll handle Mewtwo, Froslass use Destiny Bond!”
Frolass began to glow bright purple and a chain came from her to Mewtwo. The chain connected with Mewtwo and the aura surrounded him also.
“That was a good idea,” I could hear Mewtwo say. But not through my ears, it was in my head. “But not good enough.”
The aura around Froslass turned to a darker shade and she began to float in the air.
“Put her down!” I yelled from my bubble.
Froslass was carried towards Mewtwo and stopped right next to him. She could not move even if she wanted to. Mewtwo put his hand on her chest and a bubble like mine surrounded her. Mewtwo let the Psychic attack go and Froslass was trapped in the reflect.
“Now you can not defeat me with your little tricks. What else will you try before you find your defeat is inevitable,” Mewtwo taunted and laughed.
I turn around and see Chimchar starting to rise, he had a fire blazing in his eyes. The fire that is his tail started to blaze brighter then the sun its self. In fact the fire separated from his back and rose into the air. It slipped right through the bubble and rose above the warehouse. Everyone was mystified by it. It stopped rising and burst into an even brighter light! Every shadow was covered and blinded anyone looking. The only two that were not affected were Forest and Chimchar. Chimchar was exhausted and laid back down immediately but with Forest it was another story.
I could see the light in Forest’s eyes. His entire body but his bulb started glowing. He grew greatly and the leaves on his back started to lower themselves and revealed a pink bulb. The glowing stopped and revealed his change. Forest had become an Ivysaur!
“Great!” I started to command, “Forest use…”
“STOP!” Ace yelled. “Your still in your reflect! We don’t know what will happen if you fire that there!”
He’s right.
“Ok, but you have to do something!” I yelled.
I could see him concentrating on something. “I am ready when you are. I was hoping for more from that ball of fire.” Mewtwo remarked.
I could see Ace was deep in thought. I concentrating my mind and visualized what could be in his mind. Then I felt it. My “spirit” traveled towards him and entered his head. I could see his plan.
Then I fell back into my own body and saw him start his plan. He grabbed a pokeball on his hip and threw it high onto a ledge. “Go Charizard!” he yelled, “Use Flair Blitz!”
Mewtwo looked at Charizard confidently as he began to charge. Charizard then blew out a strong flame as he began to spin. The flame surrounded him in a wall that seemed to burn the air around him.
Mewtwo did not blink an eye as he raised another barrier around himself. “This barrier can stand up to a Magmortar’s Fire Blast. Your puny attack will not get through. I have calculated everything.”
Just then we found just how wrong he was. The barrier had a crack run from where Charizard was ramming around to the back.
“That’s
IMPOSSIBLE!” Mewtwo yelled.
The crack grew larger and larger until the sound of glass shattering filled the room! The barrier had fallen and Charizard’s attack followed through and hit Mewtwo solidly in the chest! Both of the pokemon followed with the attack straight into a wall. They fell to the ground in a crumpled heap.
“Now is my chance, Pokeball GO!” Ace yelled.
The pokeball flew true and blue and hit Mewtwo in the center of his forehead. The ball landed on the ground, shook once, shook twice, DING! Mewtwo was caught! With the capture the barrier around Froslass disapated.
“Wow… I did it.
I REALLY DID IT! Charizard and Froslass return! You did great guys!” He said jumping up and down in excitement.
“Great job Ace! Now can you PLEASE get me out of here?” He sent out Electrivire and he used brick break on the barrier surrounding me. “We need to get Charizard and Mewtwo to the center.”
I returned Forest in his new found evolved glory and picked up Chimchar.
He really was strong. We should bring him with us. Maybe put him in a pokeball.
“No, not yet, I didn’t fight him. I need to catch him the real way.”
I picked up Chimchar and jogged after Ace to have our pokemon healed. We found Kale at the center.
“My pokemon are almost all better. Raquaza is taking a bit longer considering his size,” Kale told us.
Ace told him the story of the rest of the fight after he left. I wasn’t listening at all. All I could think about was, How are we going to make it to the Orange Islands now?
