The Casey Anthony Trial - NOT GUILTY

Have you ever watched a republican before? If not they like their money and girls that look good. Ever noticed most republican wives are always cute looking?? Well that's why man. Sorry for the shock but yeah 9 times out of 10 there is a good chance the cute girl you are looking at is a republican XD. But yeah. If you watched the news you definitely will notice that. Most republicans have a wife who looks hot or cute. Now to the story. If think about these factors you will see why they let her go. That is the biggest factor. The state always goes republican in the race for president. Always has and always will. I bet her layer is a republican too so this could be another factor also. You guys don't see that yet because you are not old enough to understand. In 10 years from now you will begin to notice things about people and their locations. You will also notice how republicans act. Also if you have not noticed the devil is also dancing because she got set free and she should have been convicted. The devil paved a path for her to be freed. Think about this for awhile before you guys post again and you will see what I am trying to say. Think about it for awhile and you will realize what I mean. I was raised a democrat and I can see what is going on. I can't go into more detail because this is not a political site but you will see or be seen what I mean.:(

EDIT: Scizor: Florida is the state that decides who the president is right? Is it not? Last I checked Florida is the one state left hanging that decides who is and is not going to be president. Yes the fact that Florida is a Republican state plays a major role in the trial Most people that live in Florida are Republicans. Therefore the republican ARE going to spare her life and eventually set her free. Don't you see the connection there at all? If you put these into factor everything ads up to why she was set free. No harsh feelings. Just want you guys to understand my point of view on why she was set free.:(

Uh. Sorry to burst your bubble but Florida HAS voted Democrat in Presidential elections. Look no further than the election in 2008. Florida voted democratically.

Also on topic yea I don't think that she should have gotten off free to go. She deserved Capital Punishment or Life in Jail. But there's nothing we can do about it now.

Most of the time Florida goes republican though. More of then then democrat though. Either way Florida decides who the president is of the 2 that are running at the time. The last 2 times was Republican before Obama was elected. I don't remember how Clinton's was because I was pretty young then. More times then not Florida goes republican. Good point though.:)

Anyway but yeah I hope everyone understands why I am saying and what I am trying to say. It is not for a big laugh. Just trying to help you guys understand why she probably was set free. This is a possibility but yeah it is a good chance though. I am not happy about the decision but that is what she got.:(

I'm sorry, but the verdict has nothing to do with the political views of the majority of Florida. Also the state doesn't decide, the jury does. Saying that they let her go because Republicans like hot girls is such a juvenile and spammy statement. I hope you weren't being serious.

Does anyone think that the jury was more than a little biased? I was watching her sentence, and by the look in the judge's eyes, I think he really wanted to give her jail for life or the death penalty(which isn't necessary at all). All the jurors seemed to favor her. Maybe someone paid them to give them their biased opinions and proclaim she isn't guilty....?

You don't bribe jurors. If anyone finds out and tells the authorities, you'd be in some BIG trouble.

Hm... How'd I miss this thread?

Living right in central Florida where this is taking place and being a daily listener to talk radio (8+ hours a day), I've had plenty of time to listen to the details of this case from the very beginning, including wall-to-wall coverage of the "important / good" days of the trial.

In my opinion, the choice made by the jury was absolutely correct. The first charge - first degree murder - should have never even been charged. Without evidence that directly links Casey to the murder, getting a mostly unbiased* jury to find her guilty of this was a dream at best. Many well-known local lawyers have echoed this idea, and agree the prosecution should not have tried for such a heavy charge. One radio personality likened the prosecution's efforts in this regard to "trying to hit a major league homerun with a wiffle ball bat." They simply never had the evidence to pull this off.

*It has been known, even before the final jury was selected, that at least one of the jury has listened to "Bubba the Love Sponge", a popular radio program that is very anti-Casey. In addition, the place the jury was picked from is right in the show's strongest listening area. Despite the final result of the trial (which is viewed by some to be "pro-Casey"), it would be foolish to think the show had zero influence on members of the jury, especially considering the show was referenced to every single possible juror when they were first being questioned for a seat on the jury.

The second and third charges, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child, seem to be the ones most people think Casey should have been found guilty of at the very least. As we all know, she was also found not guilty of these. In this regard, I think it boiled down to two things - somewhat poor execution by the prosecution and the defense doing a good job of instilling a sense of reasonable doubt.

Of course, she was rightfully found guilty of her four counts of lying to an officer, so nothing needs to be said about that.

Again, as I stated before, I do feel the jury made the right choice. However, that doesn't mean I don't think Casey had a hand in the death of her child. Thankfully a local lawmaker is pushing through a bill called Caylee's Law, which should prevent a case like this from ending up this way in the future. It's sad such a law would need to be passed, but a case like this proves such a thing is necessary.

No a law like that shouldn't be necessary, it should be a given. A case like this proves that everything is so caught up in rules and technicalities now, that all common sense is thrown out the window.

Also the evidence was not there. Without evidence there is nothing they could do to give her the right circumstances. I think it was all a big halabalu myself. She did the crime but she is not doing the time. My question is why? Usually it goes you do the crime you do the time. Not this time. However I think the jury and what not were paid or something. Someone messed up bad.:(

I was actually on vacation in Florida during the jury selection for the case, but I'd heard about it prior as the Anthony family is from Warren, Ohio -- about 20 miles from where I'm from. They've interviewed family members on local stations here.

As xxashxx pointed out, the evidence was simply not there. I don't in any way believe the jurors were paid off, just following the constitution (for better or for worse) -- innocent until proven guilty, with evidence beyond a reasonable doubt required for conviction. As the phrase goes, it's better to let guilty parties go free than to convict someone innocent.

To be honest, I think the media has played a huge role in this case (specifically Nancy Grace). I've heard talk radio analysts mention the similarities between this case and the OJ Simpson case. Both provided circumstantial evidence, and though the popular opinion (primarily driven by the media) is that the two parties were guilty, the prosecution just couldn't come up with enough hard, non-circumstantial evidence. I do think something is amiss, though we may never know. I'm now concerned that Casey Anthony will likely become a millionaire now, with appearances, a proposed book deal -- things that I'm not sure she deserves.

Seriously, slick. It's terrible. And evidently television and movie producers are likely to try and get rights to her life story. It's sad that this is how society reacts, and even sadder if Casey Anthony takes the money. Personally, I view it as cashing in on your child's death.

I don't always murder my children.

*picture of that guy*

But when I do, I get away with it.

Evidence was found that someone had searched the Internet on Casey Anthony's computer for the use of the chloroform and how to make it.[50] On November 26, 2008, officials released 700 pages of documents related to the Anthony investigation, which included evidence of Google searches of the terms "neck breaking", "how to make chloroform", and "death" on Casey Anthony's home computer.

On February 18, 2009, documents released by the State Attorney's Office in Florida indicated that the same type of laundry bag, duct tape, and plastic bags discovered at the crime scene were found in the house where Casey and Caylee resided. Heart-shaped stickers were also recovered by investigators. According to an FBI laboratory email, a heart-shaped outline was originally seen on the duct tape that was recovered from the mouth area of Caylee's skull, but the laboratory was not able to capture the heart shape photographically and could no longer see it after the duct tape was dusted for fingerprint processing. The documents also indicate that Cindy Anthony stated to them that a Winnie the Pooh blanket was missing from Caylee's bed. This type of blanket was found at the crime scene. An entry from Casey Anthony's diary was also released.

The following diary entry by Casey Anthony is dated "June 21" and reads:
I have no regrets, just a bit worried. I just want for everything to work out OK. I completely trust my own judgment and know that I made the right decision. I just hope that the end justifies the means. I just want to know what the future will hold for me. I guess I will soon see – This is the happiest that I have been in a very long time. I hope that my happiness will continue to grow– I've made new friends that I really like. I've surrounded myself with good people – I am finally happy. Let's just hope that it doesn't change.

Just a snippet. Innocent until 'proven' guilty, right?

^ As I said, everything is so caught up in rules and technicalities that all common sense is thrown out the window, and a obviously guilty murder gets away because a lack of "hard" evidence. Seriously people, it's like saying we have 2, and we have another 2, but we can't say for sure that it equals 4, because of some weird technicality of law.

I think to sum things up, it was an illogical decison. My dad told me himself that the state had over 1500 pieces of evidence, but didnt have time to present. And the fact that she cant be tried again is harmful

I just found out a little over a half hour ago her lawyer used to be a bikini salesmen and only had been practicing law for only 3 years and a jail inmate recommended this guy to be her layer. With his inexperience in law that too gives a big role in why she was set free. If her layer was inexperienced then there was a great chance he could have fixed it to set her free. If this indeed happen and they find out about his inexperience and a possible link that he might have tampered with the evidence then he could not only lose his job but he could spend time in jail if they find out that he did fix it to let her go. From what I heard I would not be surprised if he messed with the evidence at all.:(

I partially disagree with the verdict, also I do disagree with is the stupid death threats and protests. i only partially disagree with it because they did not have enough evidence to prosecute her.

The whole trial was flawed in my opinion. They messed up really bad. Inexperienced layer and jury probably blew the case.:)

This quote from Nationals sums up the whole thing:
Tyrogue is like Kasey Anothony. It can kill babies, and has a 50/50 chance of getting away with it. -Chris Fulop
