I had already finished yours. My hand was pretty much limp at that point... I had been all day working with a crappy mouse at work and at home passing the last entries to the format we used to judge. and I could not have handled doing it all again, so I asked palutena to do do a short, joint critique, which she did and send to me to add my part.
That's why I took so long to write my "I told you so" rant in my corrections, why palutena got impatient, why I got impatient, posted and deleted my post, and why I sent this to her after reading she was still waiting for me to send her my corrections:
Here are all the entries, sorry I'm taking too long... I have to correct half of what I write becasue ,myfingers just rest on top of keys tehry are not souupposed to. and tehn go back to correct.
This happens every single day. today, I spent pretty much 3 hours at work going back and forth writing my response to you and didn't get much done. I had to leave two hours late so I could advance at least some of what I had to do for that project so my boss could get it printed out for tomorrow to review.
So that's why I didn't point out all the factors involved in each grade.
And since you might be interested, this was my preliminary critique in the QT:
I'd put it in the middle, honestly. A for effort, but not much more. The list of moves is insane. Each stage learns something completely different, the TM list is all over the place (including moves that require bodyparts the pokemon lack), the names are not explained, and the rest are minor things or things the rest of them also did wrong.
But what seals it for me is this:
"A buddy from SMOGON, Acklow, did the art for this project. He helped SELECT THE THING THAT THE POKEMON WOULD BE BASED OFF OF ON WHAT HE THOUGHT WOULD BE EASIEST TO DRAW"
That is NOT how you choose a concept. I actually pointed her to the eucaliptus trees in australia, which are so full of oils that they can blow up, and can survive brushfires. I couldn't have make it easier for her.
And the actual shoice of a candy that evolves into maize and from there to a grass... thingy... comes literally out of nowhere. It's the kind of "thought" I've come to expect from smogon. I'd actually give her a lower grade for it.
We didn't, in the end.
Give you a lower grade.
And I didn't say anything there that wasn't publically said here.
As for the egg moves and overall characteristics of the pokemon, those were palutena's base requirements, I didn't had anything to do with them, and she requested them before I became a co-judge. All I requested was a well thought, coherent design and movepool and a little blurb depicting your design process. your design process, by the way, no "I asked my friend to do this, this and that" this is the challenge for a reason. Look at keeper, he delivered first, didn't listen to my hint, made a crappy crayon drawing, an extra pokemon, botched the mega's BST and still got a very close second place.
But he did it all himself. and thought through what he was doing, he didn't overthink it.
Eron did a good work, too, but his design was for a pure electric, he himself admitted that when he placed it in the mineral - fairy egg group instead of the grass egg group. Ignoring a requested type and having a bizarre learnset costed at least two places, especially considering theguy's panicked entry, which also had potential.
You might like the smogon CAP, and I have no problem with that, but I explicitely asked that neither of you take metagame concepts as counters, tiers and all that into account, and I even said that if I identified that I would give a 0. I identified smogon's design philosophy in your design, but not in the movesets, and that was my failure. If I had realized it, eron would have been second or third. Sorry, eron.
But overall, this is not about me, or your pokemon, or smogon. This is about you. you got third, you got thrown out of the game because of that, and there was a irregularity in this challenge. ME.
You are grieving.

I feel like I'm in the bottom 3 because I'm from smogon I made my Pokemon good.
Looking at the moveset accusations -- you guys have clearly never trained a Pokemon up to level 100 before. At least 60% of Pokemon would have some crazy moves right at the end of their lives - hence the Ingrain up there. I also disagree with the design having a terrible idea behind it; corn -> bigger corn (stalk) -> corn snake. Many Grass-Type Pokemon are based from reptiles and snakes anyway.
More criticism:
The BST. 95 - 60 - 100 - 135 - 110 - 60 BST: 560 -- You compared this guy to Volcarona, Mega Absol, Togekiss and Mega Manectric. Their BSTs, respectively, are: 550, 565, 545, 575. HOWEVER, before you cry, think about it for a second: All of these Pokemon are in the hypothetical UU tier anyway. Plus, Mega Manectric is down in RU. Which is what I wanted to do -- I designed my Pokemon to be a major threat in [v]RU[/v]. Volcarona gets a fantastic movepool - everything it wants. From Quiver Dance to set up to Fire and Bug STAB. Mega Absol gets Magic Bounce and it is very fast, Togekiss is incredibly bulky but not overly powerful and Mega Manectric is in the same tier as what I wanted mine to be; except mine is slower and bulkier while Mega-Manectric is fast with the same special attack. Besides, look at the spread for the attacks. You have a slow Pokemon in Quetzacorntl but the base 50 speed tier is generally when people say "too fast to use Trick Room well". Here, we have a base 60, so it's in that awkward tier where it will take a lot of hits and not even Trick Room can save it. It doesn't have the greatest movepool, and to be honest it was just the TMs that boosted it up to that tier -- I didn't want it to have Energy Ball etc.. On a regular playthrough of the game (we are ingame now) he won't get most of the moves you mentioned -- he will get things like you would expect him to. He learns Flamethrower through level up, but you will probably have the TM sooner. He learns all of the status moves we all know about on Grass Type Pokemon etc. etc..
The moves that you said were stupid to learn: Fire Spin, Poison Sting, Sing, Will-O-Wisp, Perish Song, Brick Break, Quash, Flash Cannon, Hones Claws, Grass Pledge, Fire Pledge.
I don't know why you brought any of these up in a competitive light to be honest, they are all for flavour except MAYBE Will-O-Wisp and Perish Song.
Fire Spin - A move which every single basic Fire-Type learns. This was a no-brainer... plus the fact that it is supposed to be trying to mirror the trapping habits it's Dad has, but only letting out a little Fire Spin.
Poison Sting - Candy Corn can be poisonous.
Will-O-Wisp - Come on, all little Fire-Type Pokemon learn this. For example, Vulpix, Fennekin and Houndour are without a TM. With a TM are: The Charizard line, Archanine line, Pontya line, Magmar line, Flareon, Moltres, Typhlosion line, Magcargo line, Entei, Torchic line, Camerupt line, Torkoal, Chimchar line, Heatran, Victini, Tepig line, Pansear line, Darumaka line, Litwick line, Heatmor, Larvesta line, Reshiram, Talonflame line and the Litleo line. It makes sense to have it...
Perish Song - I actually explained this. It is something made of Grass SHOOTING FIRE. This would burn it down - this is why in the Pokedex entries it talks about Staleam being nervous most of the time. Both Perish Song and Sing are here because this Pokemon line is extremely peaceful by nature, which was also in the Pokedex entries.
I've run out of time, but answer this for now professor...
Two more things I will decree unto you;
Professorlight, do not think you will be;
getting out of my large rant this easy;
as I will be expecting a response;
in this style of writing, this is called;
the iambic pentametre, so you;
probably should have replied a little;
bit earlier. Oh well I still say it;
was quite an unfair judging round from you;
so now I believe you will answer the;
rant from me. These words make the line now full.
ANGER again, at my delayed response. (with a little bit of mockery, I must add)

I would quote if I could however I;

I will participate like anyone;
else. However, if you would like to check;
even more about my decisions, you;
shall be free to look at Prof P's profile;
page. I have quoted your lines there, but now;
I will say that my judging on your post;
Could be taken either way, I will say;
that your syllable counts should be based on;
the spelling of the word, not the way you;
speak said word. This is why you should be out;
in my opinion Keeper of Night;
It will be up to the Professor P;
whether you will be out for now, Keeper;
of Night, but I would be willing to give;
you an extra chance due to a fairly;
large misunderstanding of the rules this;
game had in the original post. Word.
And DENIAL, all over again. and you took it out on poor keeper, too, shame on you. is it a coincidence I wonder?
And then this beauty (most impressive, really).

Due to the awkward challenge I face now;
with my speaking in tens, I will not be;
replying in full to your post, prof light;
however I will say this one thing (word):
If the only thing you cared about on;
the entire Pokemon I showed to;
you was the artwork, why did you make us;
give you EVs, abilities and all;
of the rest of it? It makes no sense to;
me seeing as the only thing you based;
your judging from was how much it was like;
Game Freak looking at the design and moves;
alone. You did not once mention a thing;
about Abilities, Name, Gender (word);
Ratio, Catch Rate, Egg Groups, Steps to Hatch;
Weight, Experience Yield, Levelling;
Rate, EVs, Bodystyle, Footprint (word);
Pokedex Colour or the Base Friendship.
You based off of art, moves and height for two;
of the entries you were given to judge;
so why you tried to make a complex (word);
challenge is beyond me. Your logic for;
a lot of the judging is still beyond;
belief in my opinion, (word, word);
especially as Eron's was one of;
my favourite entries of them all, (word);
despite the erratic moves. The rest of;
it looked pretty perfect to me. But one;
thing I have just noticed about my (word);
entry, which as you did not look here;
you will not have noticed, is the fact that;
in my Pokedex entry for (word word);
Quetzacorntl, I accidentally;
left the previous name that he had been;
given during the planning of it, (word);
Burvine. The fact that this was not even;
raised shows how much you cared about the (word);
other information given to you.
In regards to Poison Sting: Half of the;
Pokemon who learn the attack do not;
have stings on them. Why you are judging the;
entries for things like this harsher than (word);
GameFreak themselves do is fairly (word word);
hypocritical of you, given the;
fact that you are "judging like GameFreak would";
you clearly are not taking (word word);
everything into account, this not only (word word);
affected your judging negatively;
but it also made it quite lackluster;
feedback seeing how you only mentioned;
a couple of things. I would have asked you;
for more information like you said you;
would provide, but I knew it would just end;
up with another unfair rant about;
smogon - a site which you clearly do;
not know anything about, as (word word);
everything you have said about it;
so far, that I have seen, is extremely;
false. I am not even entirely;
a fan of smogon, especially the;
C A P parts of it - I have about;
2 posts in the subforum total, but;
there is so much that they do to make the;
Pokemon they create as one you could;
find in-game it is not even funny.
I find it quite offensive to them that;
you are sitting there belittling all;
of the work they do in CAP. This sounds like;
blatant fan-boying and advertising;
but it is truly not. I am not a;
contributor to the project, but I;
do know everything they do there, which;
is 'round 10 stages of information;
two of which matter competitively.
If you count the fact that they even make;
a pre-evolution to every;
Pokemon they create, you have about;
20 different stages they do there;
and 10 percent of that actually;
affects the C A P tier in (word);
any way at all. Tell me again that;
all they care about is the (word word word);
competitive aspects of the (word word);
without quotes or reliable (word word);
evidence to back you up and I will;
lose faith in pokebeach as a whole. This;
is honestly getting me pretty mad;
about this whole thing as I do my best;
to respect every other person. I;
do like to debate in a moral (word);
manor, so this will not turn into a;
hissyfit, so I will finish this (word);
incredibly long post now. Sy-lla-ble.
I hope you'll reach the next stage, depression, shortly, and then move on to acceptance.
So now I will unilaterally stop this post-facto discussion, because we are derailing palutena's game (so sorry about that, darling), my hands hurt a lot and because it's clear that you won't change your mind and I won't change mine. so I'm ending this now.
Good day. Mine was not so good. And the night is not better.
PS: I'm so sorry for this... spectacle... guys; it was not my intention to derail the game, and you all sound very cute talking in tens and such.
You know how hard it is to fight Risen;
AND read this at the same time? Well... Really...
Not as hard as you would think. Professor;
When do we get our Video Game thing;
As a challenge? (I need more words right here.)
I think it is dumb to use the filler.
You should actually make sentences.
It makes it more of a challenge of wit.
To make the best ten syllable phrases.
So I played Pokemon Stadium for;

by this Raichu that Surfed my Graveler,
got a crit on Thunder to KO my;

Also, I voted you because of your;

I believe that I would be able to;

Wait, then it wasn't you the one who asked me my bank account data to transfer millions from the national bank of zimbabwe's account of a displaced prince, of which I would get 15% for my help?

I have finally arrived at this thread.
It seems that the challenge has now begun,
And I am late to join the excitement.
I will apologise for not voting,
As I needed to go to sleep last night.
I will attempt to remain as active
As I can. Are semicolons needed
At the end of each line that we type now?
But would I be allowed, like this, to type
A sentence that is broken at the end,
Without using a semicolon at
The end of the line? I can do that if
You, or our hosts, deem it necessary.
