If you go first in a challenge where the rules and the ways things are calculated are completely unclear you are at a distinct disadvantage, as later people can then see what happened to you. Furthermore new hints were revealed mid-round further exemplifying this point.
In Challenge 13, no one knew 100% how things worked. You were at the same disadvantage as everyone. Therefore, no disadvantage.
In the Challenge 14, how things were calculated didn't matter. 'With a 20% chance of this happening, and a 5% chance of this happening, I still have no idea what could happen if I choose this option.'
It isn't like anyone realised the probability of each thing happening after you. And obviously, it isn't the most complicated game on Earth. 'Roll some dice, come to an event, choose an option, maybe move on.' This isn't hard to understand.
Please, tell me what one of these hints were? Because I believe the only hint given was the quotes light posted. And that was about 4 days before Challenge 13 even started, and I don't think Challenge 14 went long enough for there to be hints about how it worked. Plus, it was extremely simple, so why would you need hints?

The events were always randomised. Space 15. Both a Lab, and a Schoolhouse. So, no one would ever get the same event, therefore, no one would ever be able to use what happened to someone else to save themselves.
