Oh my God the amount of different words I have used in this thing to represent "said" is unbelievable.
Also I have been writing this all day when I can. I got sick with something so I had to take a much longer break for a few hours but the amount of progress I have made is still rather dreary. I'm going to have to pull a bloody all-nighter to get this written up I swear. Like Palkia hasn't even left the land of the Gods yet (heaven).

Plus, that's before any of the action Palkia is doing is really starting to happen. I don't think I'm going to be making much more backstory at this stage though. Once we get into actual battles which affect Palkia directly, this thing's going to get wild!

For the record, there's really nothing wrong with using the word "said" in writing. Pick up any decent professionally published work and you'll see that it's used rather commonly for dialogue. The word "said" when used in this way may not be particularly interesting, but that's also its best feature; because of its unobtrusiveness, it often fades into the background, letting the reader immerse him- or herself better into the writing. An overuse of synonyms tends to have the opposite effect, calling attention to the narration in an awkward manner.
Also, just for the record, I have officially submitted The Diamonds' short story to PG24 via PM, so we're all cool, dudes. <3

If I don't get this written in time I am legit going to grow an emo swirl. I don't know why, I just want to give myself a real-life reason to get this done.

Almost at 11 PM. I also got like 4 hours sleep last night, so my brain is already dying. I'm sacrificing my health for this stupid competition, so I hope you appreciate the novel...
Edit: Ok I will TheGuy. I'm about to post another chapter so you've got 4 more waiting for you once I put this chapter in the QT.
Team, can I make a little request... at the end of this, if (god forbid) we do lose, please just vote out Juliacoolo? I mean at least Prof P, Drohn and TT have given some feedback, TheGuy is proof reading this stuff and I've spent way too much of my life typing this up. But this is a bit of a defeatist attitude. Just keep thinking about the end of the rainbow, Celever, where your team wins and you get something nice like a big, silver pony and a pot of gold and...

It might be too long to fit into one PM (it's almost 10,000 words... Like 9,600 or something?) If you run out of time to proof, then just add hhe unproofed chapters to e sheet and do what you can. But seeing as I've written these last chapters in about 3 hours, and have been sick today, you really have no excuse not to get it done lol.
