Collecting The English Booster Box "Pull Rates" Thread

Opened 2 boxes of roaring skies yesterday.

First box:
- Rayquaza EX (c)

- M. Rayquaze EX (dragon)

Second box:
- Rayquaza EX (c)

Was a bit dissapointed after the first box because of no Shaymin, but the second box was a lot better with three Full Arts and a Secret Rare :)

On the first six boosters of the second box I managed to pull 4 Carbink, was very dissapointed in that. I think we got 8 Carbink in total, I don't know why that's a rare...

I'm really upset of these pulls; last set it was 3 FAs, 3 EXs, and 1 SR. This really proves that boxes are all over the place.

I just got my first Roaring Skies Booster Box, with the Rayquaza trainer box thing that comes with the dice and energy.
Pulls where pretty decent, but I will note that I got no EX's, FA's or secret rares in the Rayquaza box.

Wasn't gonna open a box of this set, but just couldn't pass up a Roaring Skies Booster box for 70 dollars shipped (They usually cost 120 dollars shipped here in Sweden).

  • Legendary Treasures Shaymin EX Full Art
  • Legendary Treasures Meloetta EX Full Art
  • Primal Clash Teammates Full Art
  • Roaring Skies Shaymin EX Full Art
  • and Phantom Forces Diancie Holo
 
The Radiant Collection full arts are usually 1-2 per box.

For the rest, keep in mind that you get 0-2 full arts (very very rarely more) per box of a regular set, and around 12 holo or ultra rare cards altogether. Then look at how many holos and/or full arts there are in that particular set and those are your chances of getting a specific one.

Your better off just buying them as singles. You will more than likely spend double the money trying to pull them out of packs as opposed to buying single.

I went to pre-order 2 boxes of ancient origins earlier today and the guy at my local game shop offered me to buy the 72 packs from their launch kit instead. He did tell me the pull rates were better in launch kits then in booster boxes and I was wondering if anyone tried it with earlier sets. I don't really have any reason not to trust him and I haven't bought any packs from those kits but I'm guessing it can't really be worse then a 4 ex box. (which seems to be the minimum from what I gathered here)

I didn't pull many holo's but I haven't opened a box for a while, so the pull rates have changed. Would you say this was a decent box or no ?. I personally am happy with the Kyogre EX & Gardevoir EX and the Milotic and Manaphy holos

My AO box had only 10 holo (or better) cards in it altogether. Pathetic. Why can't they even guarantee the standard 12 anymore? :/
