BW/BW2 The Future Games Speculation Thread

3. There is a black boat in Castelia City -snip-

Chances are the boat will be used for an upcoming event (Genosect?)

On the case of Ruby / Saphire / Emerald remakes I think they'll stop remaking the games there, as D/P/P were the games that introduced the overall better graphics that we see today, and plus, we're only on the 5th gen, so give the remakes a break after 3rd gen remakes.

I think they will start remaking the games again from red/blue in the 3DS. It would be a completely different game after all.

I can't imagine why they would take the time to remake 3rd generation and up... or at least not any time soon. Gold/Silver were long outdated, so those were reasonable remakes. And I think Red/yellow/blue 3DS remakes would be sick. Although they probably will remake 3rd generation to run on 3DS anyway....

I think I might have posted about this before, but now I'm going into more detail. I believe that you will be able to travel to Sinnoh in Pokemon Gray. I say this for several reasons:

3. There is a black boat in Castelia City that is never in any way used in the story or any kind of event. I believe this is the boat that Team Plasma plans to use to travel to the Sinnoh region. On the subject of the boat, does anyone else have speculations for that boat's purpose?
I thought that was the boat TP came to Castelia on.
One interesting thing about it is that even when it's gone (which is when you defeat TP, more evidence for my first sentence), a man still acts as though it's there.

And one thing I would not mind seeing is remakes of all the 3rd games (Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, Platinum) for 3DS. It would only give me another reason for getting one.

Id spring for a RSE remake more the RBY but thats just me. And it makes sense chronologically.

How does it make sense chronologically? RBY came before RSE. So if anything, RBY is more in need for a remake. Although, I believe that the old fashioned style and graphics of the 1st gen games was part of why I liked it so much. Updated graphics are nice and all, but I like the originals the way they are (at least for nostalgia's sake if nothing else). That is my own opinion though.

Why do you think RSE needs a remake anyway? The graphics aren't THAT outdated and I doubt there is much to add to the game besides updated online capabilities and such.

EDIT: Actually, I thought you were trying to say that it would make more sense if they made RSE before RBY. After re-reading your post, I think I misunderstood your wording. If that's what you were intending, then my bad. That would make sense chronologically. But then I would guess that means there will be no RBY remake. Woopie! xD

IMO I think they will first launch Grey/Gray after that R/S remakes and at the end Yellow remake. Nintendo is getting greedy so Yellow remake seems possible.

The boat WAS used in the games, though. During the Victini event, for those who were paying attention, it was revealed that it was indeed Team Plasma's boat, and that they used it to go to Liberty Garden.

I for one love hoenn, its my fav region. They should just change everything people didnt like.
They could add sinnoh pokemon for more variety (phoebe with dusknoir, glacia with frosslass and glalie, underground like dive with lanturn, corsola, mantine, lumineon, relicanth, ALL of clampearls, and horseas family underwater anyone?) id add more plot, wally, the latis, absol, and the league should play some cool roles.

Don't you think Kanto should rest a little? After all,if they remade Red/Blue,it would mean that they would have been remade twice.(The only reason we had Leafgreen instead of a remake of Blue is because when the original Red and Blue came out in the U.S,Japan had Red and Green.)Besides,Kanto has appeared four times:
1.In the original RBY.
2.After the main storyline in the original Gold and Silver
3.FireRed and LeafGreen
4.After the main storyline in HeartGold and SoulSilver

That's kind of what makes Kanto unique- it's the first region, and has appeared in every generation so far.

It would not surprise me if they somehow incorporated it into 5th gen.

.:genetbox:.

This generation we'll see if they start remaking remakes/ third versions, seeing as how we're up to Gen 3 in remakes.

Well, I'm more in the mood for Gen III remakes, but Gen I would also make sense. They didn't do a very good job with Firered and Leafgreen, IMO. I think a remake wouldn't be a terrible idea at all. Don't get me wrong, Firered and Leafgreen were good, but if they were planning on adding new content, I wish they could have added more than just a couple of areas. They could have added a new gameplay element or something. And no, the minigames on Two Island do NOT count in any way or form. Oh, and let's not forget, "Huh? Golbat is evolving!.....? Oh wait, nevermind, you don't have any way of recording info on it, so as far as we're concerned, it doesn't exist until you get the National Dex!"

I would like a Blue version remake this generation, as long as we got Ruby and Sapphire remakes and DID NOT get a Yellow remake.

I know this would never happen but I think a good idea for a game would be a game where you can go to all teh region that there currently are but you need to beat the elite 4 of that region in order to get to the next one kind of like how S/G/SS/HG/C let you go to 2 reigons. Again i know that is not going to happen

We've all heard that idea many times before and the same answer each time. The DS cartridge can't hold all that information. Did you play HGSS? If we had a game with two regions like GSC, then the second region would be as suckish as Kanto was in HGSS. There was nothing to do besides fight the Gym Leaders who were incredibly easy, not to mention how small the region felt compared to Johto.

Actually, A friend and I were making a game like that but it never worked out... I think they would make one for the very last Pokemon game, but like you said, It'll never happen because Pokemon will never die! :)
