BW/BW2 The Future Games Speculation Thread

If they release another Trozei!, I hope they increase the difficulty. The way it is now, you could randomly scribble on the screen and get insanely long combos. Normally, I'd be the last person to advocate making combos harder (as I'm miserably bad with fighting games), but it really detracts from the game when you spend more time watching your combo unfold than actually moving Pokémon around. Ditto was given out like candy as well. A wild-card like Ditto should be rare.

I'd like to see another one, as I like the Mr. Driller art style, but I would like them to do something closer to that mode where you need more Pokémon lined up to clear them and you have more columns. And not do the whole "You can only find Legendary Pokémon if you locally connect to someone whose randomly designated Pokémon is one," as this wasn't exactly all the rage.

Meteos is an example of the puzzle game where blocks rain down and you have to line them up from below done well, though the DS version is aso prone to scribbling too.

I dissaprove of the new pokemon spinoff, the one that includes Nobunuga's Quest, or whatever. It's going to fail, period.

On topic, they should make a game where all regions are available. I mean, you could choose which region you want to start in, get the starter for that region, go through it, then beat the 4. When that's all over, you have the choice to go to another region, as well as go back to the current region. You could play for like 100 hours and still not be done. New Game+, walking lead pokemon options, and multiple save slots would be a nice thing to add, too. It would be, literally, a master pokemon game, working out all the errors of previous games, such as the disappointments of Black/White. It would take several years to make. Another idea: customizable trainers. Not just what you see online. What you see in the game. Sort of like Star Wars: KOTOR.

It would also take several billion dollars to make, which I don't think even Pokémon could recoup.

Also, Nobunaga's Ambition is moderately popular in Japan; I think it will sell well, or at least turn a profit.

1+1 does not = 0
Besides this isn't the first time they did something like this, Mystery Dungeon wasn't even as well known as Nobunaga is, but that "crossover" turned out fine. I for one am happy to actually get something new to the Pokemon franchise, instead of ANOTHER rehash.

PFFFFFFFFFT, I think your estimate is a bit off buddy.

Nah, I decided to tone down the hyperbole from several hundred billion dollars.

we mentioned the allregion game before and we said that it would take up too much data
i like the customizable character idea but think about it, it would be too hard to see the customization with the small little character (I belive its called a sprite but im stupid so...) (someone also mentioned an idea that had the same problem, he/she said that they should add things like skateboards and scooters instead of a bike, but we came to the same conclusion, too small)

Concidering they would most likely use the same models and textures it wouldn't take to much space, there is also the matter of compression.

I found some new articles that may raise a few eyebrows.

and

and

Im pretty sure that the release dates for the first article games have been announced. So we may have to expect more new games.

Tons of sites have this even Kotaku.

I would love for a game to be a XD Gale of Darkness, Colosseum like game on the 3DS or Wii U.

I wouldn't mind a game which involved some of the TCG islands, i.e. Holon. Imagine having to pick a starter, and the starter was a Delta Species! I would love a DS game. (DS stands for Delta Species in this instance)

There is most definately enough space for all regions on a single ds/3ds chip, seeing as they can hold like 8gb while pokemon games only usually take up like 2

The only feasible thing they'd do with that case is a compilation game. Why would you want every region anyway? It's redundant.

No DS game takes even 1 GB. More like an half GB max. (Afaik.)

Chances are GameFreak won't make a game with all regions as they'd get much more money from people buying the games separately. I'm fine as long as the next console game allows me to battle my own Pokémon against each other having computers control some of them and being able to use random wi-fi.

He's talking about 3DS carts, which can theoretically support up to 8gigs. How ever his comment about 2 gig Pokemon games is completely wrong. Black and white is on a 512mb cart.

Yes, and I only commented on the statement that current Pokémon games take 2 GB. Problem?

Me and my friend were talking and I thought of this:
A Pokemon stadium 2 remake. Its like the old stadiums but in 3D for 3DS.
HOWEVER.... It would ONLY work with Virtual Console versions of RBYGSC. Would it be a good idea? i think the market may be too small for it though, since oud have to buy RBYGSC on Virtual Console as well.
It could also have a rental with all the pokemon but you'd be able to use some sort of in game point system to get new moves and EV wings and stuff for your rentals if you didn't have the VC games. what do you guys think??

Eh... Why not just have a slight Stadium Wii VC enhancement that would have full compatibility with VC versions of the first games on the 3DS? Why have the graphical showcase on 3DS?

Ive actually recorded w/ the 3DS camera some Stadium 2 gameplay. some of the intros and attacks (examples: Alakazam's intro, Lickitung's intro, Moves with the pokemon in front of a colorful background) look real good when just recorded. Imagine them as actually made to be in 3D! One for Wii would be good, but then you'd need BOTH a 3DS and a Wii, while most people who have one have the other, theres some people who won't have one of them. Sticking to one system would be better IMO. A cross compatible from Gen 1-5 wouldn't be good jsut because of the changes in game mechanics and people with gen4+ have access to moves such as Stealth Rock and other new moves with competitive use.

If you meant to have a Stadium VC that wouldn't work out good for some people since you'd have to buy a 2000 point card for your wii and a $20 card for your 3DS as well.

I'm bumping this so members will post here about the new game rather than making a new thread.
