RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.Memebers! Make your vote!

New Topic!

If you guys could come up with a short RPG, just a small adventure that would take about a month of online roleplay to complete, what would you write?

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

Well, I'm basically going to stop coming here. Too many other better things to do, so sorry. Would you guys mind telling anybody if they start asking about my absence? Im in too many things to keep track, or even remember, all of them and say this every time.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

Hey guys, sorry for the inactivity, I haven't been on the forums for a while. Anyway, a short RPG that would take about a month... hmm... some sort of short mystery dungeon... thing? I don't know, I'm not really one for short RPG's. Speaking of RPG's, are there any good ones that are still accepting that I should join?

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

I thought pokemon quest would be good but then it got so off topic its not even what is was about.mlouden03 has a good one and its looking for 2 new people maybe try there?

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

Well, obviously this group is slowing down, so we will miss you, dragonspit.

Oh, and yes, I would guess that there are a few that are open. (But I wouldn't know myself.)

Anyways, new topic!

Invent a Character that is Opposite of the Gender that You Usually Create!

Everyone can make a character that is opposite of the usual. Hopefully, this will bring some activity and get some players to think outside the box!

I will create mine later, but I do have an idea.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

I have equality (I think), but I have an idea in mind.
Pink will be the idea for this character.

Name: Rose Evans
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Pokemon (Because I can): Wigglytuff, Serperior, Jumpluff, Flaffy, Beautifly
Appearance:
Rose is a light-skinned girl who has average height for her age. Her hair is light pink and her eyes are sky blue. She sports a white, thin jacket over a pink dress shirt accompanied with a white tie. Her skirt is light blue.
Personality:
Rose is very friendly and is an extrovert no matter the atmosphere. She rushes through things and is sometimes oblivious to an obvious problem.
Rose is the heiress of the Evans family, which owns a 5-star hotel in Haze City. She is a bit spoiled using money to solve troubles but she doesn't throw it in other people's faces.

I can't think of a "history" right now.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

I started to put the first part of my post by typing OOC. I'm tired XD yay nats lol.

Anyway. Br0ken I think she means as players in an rpg not what npcs you make running an rpg, and since you're usually a guy form what I've seen you still did it correctly.

I'll post mine later if i remember

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

Oh. Well if I'm ever a girl in a RPG I'll use her.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

It doesn't really matter to me each way. Anyways, here's a skimpy version of what I made.

Name: Joseph "Sky" Travenski
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Appearance: Sky has black hair that is long enough to leave spiky bands just at the rimof his eyebrows, and creates twists in the top of his hair that tend to stick up. He has blue eyes, and a long nose. His ears aren't human at all, and look as though someone snatch them from a Dragonair and stuck them right where his ears should be. He has broad shoulders and doesn't have very protuding muscles, but they are there. He generally wears simple t-shirts and jeans. Sometimes he wears an aviator jacket that is black with yellow stripes.

Personality: Sky is light-hearted, often trying to make others laugh or simply be happy. He is rarely serious, and this only occurs with people he is very close to. He can be very protective in dangerous situations, not really caring about who he defending, as long as he is defending someone at all. He can get very mad about sensitive subjects, and this can cause a fight easily. Most of the time he wins from the sheer amounts of rage. However, getting him mad is really only possible when messing with his small sensitive subjects.

I can't give away the history, since I'm planning on doing a story with this character later. ^^;

EDIT:
Welcome shampoo-thief~

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

Hey everyone. I finally joined ^-^

Ok girl character. Here we go.

Name: Kaya Kross
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Appreance: Kaya is 5'7 and at an average weight for her height. She is white and has slightly tanned skin. She has hazel eyes that are usually outlined with black eyeliner. Besides that, she has relatively no makeup. She has long, dark brown hair, that is cut at different lengths and has an undercut on the right side of her head. She has a small silver nose ring in her right nostril.

Typically she wears a fitting, sleeveless black and white striped shirt and black skinny jeans. On her hands she wears an assortment of rings and bracelets. On her upper left arm there is a tattoo of a hot air balloon. She wears black combat boots.

Personality: Kaya is outspoken, loud, and opinionated. Even if her logic isn't very sound, she will still continue to argue her point. She is not affraid to call someone out, especially if that person is being disrespectful. She is fun to be with and is a good friend who will stick up for you. She is often playful and funny, and will do things other people might be afraid or embaressed to do. She radiates confidence and does not care what other's think of her, as long as they do not disrespect her.

I'm not sure what to put for history because I don't know the story she would be in

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

I might come back and think one up for her.

Ok guys, I am making this RPG, which I am calling Alder's Army. Here it is:
The End:
A young trainer, with the help of his friends, battled the leaders of Team Plasma. Calling upon the Legendary Dragon, this young hero was able to defeat Team Plasma and put an end to their plot for Pokémon Liberation. The 7 Sages were arrested and N disappeared. Life in Unova had returned to normal.

The Beginning:
All seemed peaceful in Unova five years after Team Plasma disbanded. But this was only on the surface. In the shadows, Team Plasma was being reborn. Lead by a man known only as “R”, Plasma stayed hidden, slowly acquiring followers without detection. Only small hints of their existence reminded the public of how close they came to Pokémon Liberation before. The Team Plasma emblem spray painted in alleys, the occasional whispers. However, as Team Plasma gained more followers, their momentum picked up. Soon, there were branches of the team in every Unovan city. After only 5 years, Team Plasma was back.

The Conflict:
Plasma propaganda posters were on lamp posts and walls throughout the streets of Unova. More people started believing that the capture and battling of Pokémon was slavery. A clear divide was forming between people. Families and neighbors feuded with one other over the morality of capturing Pokémon. Plasma members started having rallies and demonstrations in cities. Law enforcement, fearful of a repeat of what happened ten years ago, was strict on Team Plasma. There were many cases where members of the team were arrested with no explination. One rally led by Plasma members in Driftveil City ended with Law Enforcement stepping in. The rally turned into a brawl and the police beat and arrested many members. This caused a ripple effect of riots across Unova in protest of the violence the police used. The riots escalated into battles in the streets between Plasma supporters and their opposition. Law enforcement, including Gym Leaders and the Elite Four, took the Opposition’s side. They fought to take back control of their cities. Plasma turned out to be an even match for the Opposition, and fights continued to break out. The violence escalated until a full blown civil war.

The War:
The nation had been divided. Plasma, headquartered in Castelia City, easily took control of the city and the towns to the east of Sky Arrow Bridge. The Opposition held strong in Opelucid City, and the other northern cities of Unova. Nimbasa and Driftveil had turned into lawless no-man’s-land, where violence often broke out. Plasma adapted to a guerrilla warfare technique. The Opposition tried to hold on to older traditions of fighting, but soon found that deploying ten year old children into battle would only backfire. This enemy was bigger and fiercer than any before. As hard as they fought, the Opposition lost city after city to Plasma. Any Gym Leaders captured were publicly executed by R himself in order to rally his supporters, and discourage his enemies into submission. The war was turning in the favor of Team Plasma.

The Last Stand:
The remaining members of the Elite Four, led by Alder, knew that R was planning an attack on their establishment any day in order to gain control of Team Plasma’s Castle. They prepared for battle, and waited for Team Plasma to march through Victory Road. It did not take long. The army rushed at the Pokémon League. Even though the Elite Four had the strongest Pokémon in Unova, they were no match for the sheer number of challengers. All their efforts were in vein and they had to surrender. Chained and cuffed, they were led into the castle. Here, they came face to face with R. R showed no mercy. With cries of support from the masses, each Elite Four member was executed. After three long years of fighting, Team Plasma had won the war. R was now king of Unova.

R’s Rule:
There was no time for celebration after the victory. R began enforcing his new laws the very next day. Over Seers were assigned one to each city. Their job was to make sure that R’s laws were being followed and enforced in their sectors. Most of these Over Seers were power hungry and corrupt, and used their position of power to every advantage they could get.

Pokémon were seized from all trainers and promptly released. Pokeballs were outlawed. Anyone caught with a Pokémon or pokeball were arrested immediately. Only Over Seers and specially appointed law enforcers were allowed to own Pokémon.

R became paranoid of any opposition, and he created new laws and programs to defer any group from ever becoming a threat. First, he called for an immediate government takeover of the media. No news was printed, no TV shows aired, no radio shows allowed, unless they were approved by R himself. A strict curfew was enforced, no one was allowed out of their houses past 9 o’ clock unless they had a signed worker’s pass. Anyone caught out past curfew were arrested and questioned. No large public gatherings were permitted either, unless organized by the government. Groups of 10 people or more were not allowed. Anyone suspected of opposition to the Plasma rule would be swiftly arrested, or they would simply disappear.

10 Years After R took power:
The Unovan economy was collapsing. While Over Seers and law enforcement were living in luxury, the citizens were suffering. The middle class had almost completely dried up and a large separation of classes formed. Over Seers controlled the taxes in their sectors, and many of them raised them to unpayable levels. People struggled to make ends meet. Food was becoming scarce, affordable food even scarcer. Many houses stood vacant, their old occupants no longer able to make the payments. In some cities this was worse than others. Castelia, for example, was once a Metropolis with a surging economy. Now it is a ghost of its former self. The docks are empty of trade boats. The desert to the north has slowly started to overtake the city, turning the northern most parts into a dusty wasteland. The streets littered with trash and people without homes. Apartments were either crowded with people or empty because they are too expensive. Many businesses failed so commerce is almost now existent. This is largely in part of the Over Seer, who has taxed Castelia with the highest taxes in all of Unova.

Citizen’s are under constant watch by law enforcement and live in fear. Fear to even show the slightest anger or distrust in their leaders. There is not a single Unova who doesn’t know of someone who was arrest or gone missing after being suspected of treason. This fear has created an obedient public.

Children are made to go to government run schools. In these schools, kids are taught to love R and their leaders. They are told of the barbaric times before R’s rule when Pokémon were used as slaves, when horrible people ruled the land that forced these creatures to live their lives fighting for the enjoyment of humans. They were told that back in those days, your social status depended on how many other Pokémon your Pokémon could kill. Many children were not alive or too young to remember this time in history, and took the government’s word for it. They believed that the people of that time were sick and twisted, and Pokémon Liberation was for the best. Parents who did live back then were not able to tell their children how it really was, how Pokémon and trainers were friends. Anyone one who contradicted the teachings were arrested for heresy and often never seen again.

Alder’s Army:
Alder’s Army is a secret organization that is going to attempt to bring down R and his reign over Unova. Stationed right now in Straiton City, in the cellar of a pub, the group is plotting to overthrow the cities Over Seer and begin the conquest of Unova. Their leader (name undecided) has been able to illegally acquire a shipment of Pokémon, which he will entrust to each member. This is where you come in…

Where You Come In:
You have joined Alder’s Army and are planning on fighting a long and hard battle to liberate Unova from the Pokémon Liberator himself! You will go city by city, taking out Over Seers and freeing the cities from their rule. The final goal is Plasma Castle, where R resides. You will be given one basic Pokémon to begin with, which you will be able to choose. However, make sure it is a Pokémon you like, because with pokeballs banned catching new Pokémon will have to be a rare occurrence. It has been 13 years since the war began, so take that into account when making your character.

So I want feed back on this, if you would please. Also, I thought as a group project you all could help me create the Over Seers for each city. Make up their name, age, appearence, history, etc. If you want.

Also, if you can think of any details that I should add to the plot, let me know!

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

sounds really good has a lot of thought put into it like some of the others i have seen.wouldn't mind helping you if you need me to.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

Really good Idea Shampoo. I think this would attract alot of different players.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

I have a feeling you joined just to post that horrible kick-u_no_wat RPG. I'm hoping PB doesn't close before you can produce it. :O

Alder's Army? Haha, you git that from HP, didn't you. :)

/me brainstorms.

All of their personallities should be far apart. I'm thinkin stuff like buff dudes, frilly girls, people more loyal than dogs, and possibly a double-agent. Actually, a double agent would be pretty cool. :O

1. I knew when I joined that I would post it eventually. But this morning I woke up early and had nothing to do, so I finished it xP
2. Yes I sure did haha
3. I like that. I have one idea for a girl Over Seer who is actually a good person, and treats her people kindly and what not, but has an extreme loyalty to R, and would die for him. Which would cause a dilemma on taking her down because she is actually a good person, but is still the enemy.

And of course there are the token buff brutes. Also, basing some of them off of the 7 deadly sins would be cool. Thats another idea. Except theres more than 7 Over Seers.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

So just make them seven so you can have them based off of it,or you can still hvae seven of them based off of it and the rest based off other things.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-7/2/11

7 deadly sins would be cool.
Hmm... would sound interesting. But since there is a lot more towns, Those guys should be later on, the more serious guys. For earlier one's (because I got compelled by the number 7), you should base them off of The Seven Evil Exes.(lol, good movie)

BTW, what are you gonna say about other regions? Did 'R' just randomly stop at one region and not expand da' revolution for ten years? Possible sequel/extra length?
