RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

yea I think an rpg about humans would be good but what type like it as in pokemon real life made up stuff like that.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

I think I have one in my files somewhere... (Don't laugh, I do keep my RPG ideas in a file.)
Ah, here it is: 'Pokemon live here on Earth, but not everyone knows about them, so our heroes have to travel around the USA and Canada, collecting different gym badges (which are strategically hidden in various cities so that people without Pokemon can not find them) and surviving (you have to buy food and water). You start off with a set amount of money, and you have to win more money in Pokemon Competitions and Tournaments. If you don't win anything, you'll eventually die from starvation.'

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

that sounds just like a game show I use to watch sounds interesting .

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

Like a gameshow? lolwut?

Also, I'm thinking up more details as I go. Each player is 17. They have their N drivers license, which means they can only drive up to one passenger. Unfortunately, none of the players have a car. They will have $2000 saved up from a summer job they had, along with a $500 bond from their parents which can be cashed in one year.

You start off in New York City, at a place called 'The Bungalow', who sell Pokemon and items. Starters are $500, other non-evolved Pokemon are between $800 and $3000. Evolved Pokemon are even higher. The Bungalow is a chain store with branches in: NYC (obviously), San Francisco (California), Dallas (Texas), Tampa Bay (Florida), Seattle (Washington State), and various other major cities. There are also some in Canada: Vancouver (British Columbia), Regina (Saskatchewan), Toronto (Ontario), Quebec City (Quebec), and somewhere in Nunavut.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

That Eeveelution One looks good. Yes, storyline needs enhancing a little, asto what you are going to do, and such.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

I like all the ideas so far. Maybe we can do a RPG about the ancient battle between Good and Evil lol. You know everybody wants to unleash a little steam by blowing up a few demons lmao. I was thinking we could have a General over the Good side and a General over the bad side. We could give them fancy dancy names. Then we can make 2 threads. One for the bad side one for the good side, then every now and then they have battles then EPIC battles. We have a judge to see who will win. Points would depend on activity and such. The character wouldn't have to be pokemon either. We could base it off Mythology or somthing. You could be an Angel or a Demon. Just an Idea <3

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

No offence but two seperate threads for one RPG never works out. It's too confusing.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

Hey, just an Idea ; ) Thanks for the feedback though.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

Hello guys, I got accepted. First, allow me to say current RPGs and other games are just being locked and will have to be started over after the GC rerendering. Also, what do you guys think of A New Dawn? It's going to restart due to the GC rerendering so critique away!

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

If you just made it a normal RPG, with one thread, then that plot could work. People love roleplaying wars.

As for New Dawn... Idk I haven't followed it much. It's definitely popular.

EDIT: Joeypals!!, what do you think of my idea on post 82/84? From what I've heard about New Dawn it seems a bit similar.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

A while back in November I posted a Hunger Games RPG on a different Forum. It wasn't very popular, so I abandoned. If you guys would like to see how I had it set up, I could copy it over here.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

I'm in the middle of that series, just waiting for Catching Fire to come into the library.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

The idea of your's is okay. I'm sure if the plot got energized, it would be fantastic. And New Dawn is similar to that, but different.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

I meant that New Dawn had sort of like, fixed statistics and stuff. Like Pokedollars. Idk, I could be wrong.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

This was the main premise:

~Story~

After a war devastated the North American land, a new land rose from the ashes. This land, was named Panem. Panem was an evil place that used terror and hunger to reign. Panem was then split up into 13 districts, each supplying some kind of good or force to the Capitol, the main hub of Panem rule.

A short time after this, the districts revolted against the Capitol, angry at the conditions they were forced to live under. As an example of the Capitol's power, they bombed District 13, and the District of 13 was presumed destroyed.

Not suffice with this act of terror, the Capitol created the Hunger Games. The Hunger Games showed the Capitol's brutality and power. Two children from each district, a boy and girl, were forced to compete in a fight to the death, making a total of 24 contestants. Each year, the Hunger Games would take place, and many officials from the Capitol would go to each District to randomly draw the names of the tribunes.

Many districts during this time were starving to death, and could barely survive on the meager scraps they had. Seeing this, the Capitol came up with tesserae, a way to further manipulate the citizens. In order to receive extra food for their families, the children from 12 to 18 who entered could enter their names multiple times. In return for this, they would receive more food.

This is the story of you. The 24 tribunes. You will be forced to kill other children, even the other from your same district. Not complying with this will end in your termination along with your family.

May the odds be ever in your favor.

~Rules and Explanations~

There are 24 spots to fill in this RPG. The form looks like this:

Name:
District:
Gender:
Number of Times Name Entered for Tesserae:
Backstory:
Special Skill (Be reasonable!):

Once you sign up and you have been given the ok, you may post in the RPG ONCE WE HAVE ALL 24 SPOTS!

We will be starting on the day of the reaping. Once your name is drawn, you will be charted off in the train with your fellow tribune. Once you arrive at the Capitol, you will be training hard, and doing interviews. On the night before you enter the Arena, you will be given a score out of 12. The higher score you get, the better gifts you will receive in the Arena.

When you enter the Arena, you are on your own. You may, however, form alliances with people once inside, but remember, these alliances won't last long. The very first thing you must do is rush to the Cornucopia to grab a weapon, medicine, or food. I will give a list giving all the objects in the Cornucopia once we get there, and the very first person to post and choose their weapon gets it.

Now, the fun part. When you encounter someone, you will naturally try to kill them. Since I know you won't voluntarily die, I'll pick off the person that has been hurt the most. You can try to be evasive, but you will always have to venture out to find food.

Health: Each time you fight, you will be losing health. Please don't cheat and say that everything misses you. You are not eternal. I will keep score of Health.

Hunger: You have a Hunger of 50. Each time you post, you lose -1 Hunger. In order to satisfy your Hunger, you must eat something. You may have gotten food from the Cornucopia, or you may have hunted on your own. Each time you eat something, your Hunger will be completely replenished. If your Hunger falls to 0, you die.

Events: As your Head Gamemaker, I try to make this game fun. I will be randomly throwing obstacles at you that hinder you. Each time I do this, one person will automatically be hurt, and that person will be chosen by random. The others have the ability to avoid it.

Map: Once we start the Hunger Games, I will provide a map of the Arena.

Hunting: You may hunt somethings, but only in certain windows of time. In random hours of the day, I will post saying that a certain animal is available. If you hunt it during that time, you will be rewarded with more food.

Winning the Game: You win if you are the last person alive. Simple, right?

Ok, I think I've explained the rules enough. Remember, no godmodding, no swearing, no cheating.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

When the RPG's get reset I am thinking of making one myself. It will be about Pokemon having to survive in this apocalyptic world. That is the main idea so far.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

The Hunger Games one is actually really cool. And there was no spoilers so you didn't ruin the element of surprise I will get when I read books 2 and 3.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

Thank you. I tried not to ruin the stories of the actual books (which, btw, will shock you!!!)

I've also tried to come up with a Kingdom Hearts RPG, but I never truly got it to function right.

Also, I'm trying to keep Pokemon: Teams of Courage afloat, but it's hard considering the fact that some people are inactive

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

I bet the ending will. Suzzane Collins is a great author. Have you (or anyone else) read her other series, Gregor the Overlander? They say it's for kids 9-12, but I loved it, some of my friends read it and they liked it, heck, even my Mom loved it.

RE: .:The Guild: A RolePlayer's Paradise:.Taking Members!

Can you please look my RPG over and tell me what you think? Thanks!
