RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-8/12

I'm actually working on either a story or RPG that encompasses several different anime/manga series..(kind of a vaguely similar vein in angels if i do the rpg, but I'm trying to decide on how to work it so players wouldnt have to wait if they're in one of the later worlds.)

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-8/12

Heroes would be amazing..now I'm tempted to start working on that XD lol

Jersey Shore.
But if not that then I would say...
Avatar. That would make a really BA rpg.

You know, I actually have an idea for an Avatar RPG--if your not meaning the stupid blue people and your really meaning awesome benders saving the world--that would be pretty cool.

The only issue is that I couldn't even think of posting it till next summer since school leaves me so busy.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-8/12

Yay, Avatar. :D

I would like:
  • Yugioh
You get to make fake cards, and that's always fun.
  • Ao No / Blue Exorcist
    <3
  • Naruto
    <3 x2
  • Soul Eater
I was actually thinking about making this.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-8/12

Yugioh RPG's do not work out. People get way too competitive, and it's just overall not that fun.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-8/12

Ao No Exorcist somehow does not sound like a good idea for an RPG. Their world is fixed basically on the battle against Satan, and the battle system is too limited for RPs.

Also, if you want a YuGiOh RPG, you go here and beat the crap out of other people.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-8/12

Ygo duels would take forever, also Br0ken I saw a naruto rpg on a different site which will remain nameless. lss Ispent 2 days working on my form, but then the rpg had filled up by then XD

I totally signed up for the ygo game. thanks lol

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-8/12

I would personally love a Naruto RPG if it had been thought out and well created. (like thats a problem with Broken).

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-8/12

I don't think I would be a huge fan of any of these ideas, but that's because I'm really picky about RPGs.

Anyhow, some nice player-attracting ideas you guys have! But, a new topic must roll around eventually!

Do you find your characters to have certain traits that you find in yourself? If so, what are they, and why those traits?

Well, all but one of my characters are very shy, and that's a trait I have myself. The reason is because I'm not really too sure how people meet new people in a more..."normal" fashion than I do. I don't know about you guys, but most of the time when I meet people, its forced by friends or family. I don't know why, I just really don't know how to be...social.

Also, many of my characters are female, because I'm female, and that's easier to figure out since it's not like I can ever figure out how boys think...

My characters also tend to have artistic talent in some way, and that's because I really like the arts. I draw a lot, play and write music, and write stories and poetry every once in a while. So, I like writing about how they feel about the talent they have. It's interesting.

Oh, and one little weird fact you guys probably have never noticed, I always have them part their hair the way I do. I don't know why, but every character is like that.

Oops, looks like I rambled. Well, how about you guys?

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-8/12

I'm sorry but...who are you? I mean did you send an application and receive an "accepted"?

My characters are always somehow like me (except Mr. V Winter from Angels, I hate that idea).

Usually they're either quiet, or very cold.

I act as either one of those sometimes.

Green Durant, you are not a member of this club, so I suggest you delete your post.

Also, as soon as me laptop is fixed, I will be updating the front page, kicking out the members who haven't posted within the past month.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-8/12

My characters are usually arrogant and evil, usually how I am in rpg's like knights of the old republic lol

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-8/12

My character's kind of very. Usually I try to make them think about things that other's don't, and they are generally kind to other's and what not. Although in Zombies my character was more selfish and kinda annoying lol. And in PA Lennon is kinda awkward... I try to switch it up, but sometimes I notice my characters start to act similar because I usually think of how I would react to the current situation, and I think that is something that is a challenge to avoid.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-8/12

My character are always the same :/ I know it has to be boring to you guys but my Characters in a RPG almost mirror how I act and think. They all have a strong since of good, and friendship. They would have a very bad guilty concious. I can't even knock over a box of cearal and walk away without feeling bad about it, cuz I know my mom will have to pick it up. These traits seem to rollover to every character that I make for an RPG. I have wanted to try a male character and did once, it actually went kinda smooth.

I have thought about maybe making a Bad or "evil" character and I've been worried about how I would be able to play them effectivly. I just keep telling myself "Do the opposite of what you would do here!" And it usually works.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic-8/12

Yah, these are some good points you're throwing out. Oh, and Ice Master, you should try and evil character, it is very fun, even if sometimes confusing, to role-play.

Also, whenever my character gets into whatever sort of situation, I'm always thinking constantly: how would they react? And this is were I spend twenty minutes staring at the computer figuring itout, because I sronglu think that I should try my best to make thier reaction their's.

For instance, I have a rebellious feminist in an RPG on serebii, and another character is a jerk with a messed up past. At one point in the RPG, he points out that women are weak. So, I have to make that my character gets furious, and stomps over there to talk some sense into him. In another one, I have my chill guitar playing chick, so if a fight ever broke out in that RPG, she'd be one of the first to break it up.

New topic: How in depth do you think when it comes to you character? How much time do you spend plotting thier actions? Why?

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic: 8/26

Unless dealing with a complex mission/task (which unfortunately rarely happens), plotting actions really don't take that long. As long as you're completely set with the character design, every response you have should be natural, the only exception is a character that has a personality much different than yours.

Oh, and on the note of trying an evil careful, if you're good with relationships and the other RP-ers are willing to take a shot in the psychological dark, you might want to attempt mind games. Otherwise, just try not to look stereotypically evil in any case.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic: 8/26

My characters are generally very smart or wise. I'd like to think that's a reflection of me, but maybe not. My characters usually have an interesting or dramatic backstory, which is because I like plot twists, and a complicated history tends to allow for that. I almost always make male characters - in fact, the only female I have ever roleplayed with is a female Blaziken in Dark Void's Primal Pokemon RPG.

RE: .:The Guild: A Roleplayer's Paradise:.New Topic: 8/26

What did I miss?

Also, I have a mix between pre-planned character traits, and traits I make up as I go along. I feel ashamed to admit this, but most of my characters wind up as near-Mary Sues, something which I'm trying to avoid when I roleplay...
