The Humble Card Game Bundle (bonuses) + Archie Comics Bundle (bonuses) + Weekly Bundle: Made in Spai

RE: The Humble Weekly Sale, featuring Focus Home Interactive

Bundles seem to be taking a break this week.

This week's Humble Weekly Sale is...

All games are Steam and Windows-only unless noted otherwise. This sale will end on Thursday, October 17th, 2013, at 2 P.M. EDT.

This sale has been in the Steam registry for a few weeks now, so a lot of people already knew what was here and whether they wanted it. I was not one of the latter. :X But yeah, there seems to be a good amount of excitement, and I'd certainly call the sale high-value.

RE: The Humble Bundle with Android 7! + Weekly Sale: Hothead Games

Looks like the main bundle took a week off to change days: This one launched on Tuesday, which is the day they were launching before last summer. That's cool, gives us a bit of break before the Weekly Sale, and more importantly it lets Humble advertise the Weekly Sale in the main bundle's email 48 hours before it ends, rather than 24. Anyway:

The Humble Bundle With Android 7

Nice and solid at the PWYW level, just how I like my Android bundles:

And for beating the average, steadily declining from $6.17:

  • Worms Reloaded and Worms 2: Armageddon
    • They're effectively the same game, with some differences here, and some extra content there. Reloaded is the PC version, and it normally goes for $20, while Armageddon is the Android version, which seems to normally go for $5.
    • Demo of Reloaded on Steam
    • Networked multiplayer for Reloaded is only included in the Steam version.
  • The Bard's Tale
    • Normally $10

Soundtracks are included for all games. As with HIB9, 2nd week bonuses will be available to those who beat-the-average.

This week's Humble Weekly Sale is...

Hothead Games's PC catalog

This too is pretty solid at the PWYW level:

  • DeathSpank
    • Normally $15
    • Available on Mac
    • Soundtrack included
  • DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue
    • Normally $15
    • Available on Mac
    • WTF Is... by TotalBiscuit
  • On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One

And for beating $6:

  • On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode Two
    • Normally comes in a combo pack with Episode One for $12
    • Demo on Steam
  • The Baconing
    • Normally $15
    • Available on Mac
    • DLC not included

All games are Steam and Windows-only unless noted otherwise. This sale will end on Thursday, October 24th, 2013, at 2 P.M. EDT.

RE: The Humble Bundle with Android 7! + Weekly Sale: Cipher Prime

In miscellaneous news, Dwolla has been added as a purchasing option.

Bonuses for HBA7 include some more Ticket to Ride DLC and some stuff from past bundles. Remember, bonuses are exclusive to BTA purchasers now, so grandfathering if you bought the bundle at the PWYW level before now is no more:

This bundle will end on Tuesday, October 29th, 2013, at 2 P.M. EDT.

This week's Humble Weekly Sale is...

Cipher Prime!

These might not be everyone's cup of tea, but they are well-regarded by those who play them:

  • Splice
  • Fractal: Make Blooms Not War
    • Normally $7
    • Previously featured in HBA6 at the PWYW level
    • Android version included
  • Pulse: Volume One
    • Normally $3
    • Android-only
    • Previously featured in HBA6 at the PWYW level

And for beating $6:

  • Intake
    • Normally $6, because...
    • It's debuting in this sale, as part of Cipher Prime's 5th Anniversary.
    • Not available on Linux
    • Not available on Steam
  • Auditorium

All soundtracks are included. This sale will end on Thursday, October 31st, 2013, at 2 P.M.

These past bundle writeups certainly came in handy today! What do you think will pop up fro Halloween? :O

RE: The Humble Weekly Sale: Team 17

No bundle this week, seems we might be switching back to the weekly summer pattern of bundle-bonuses-break. Maybe.

In miscellaneous news, Humble has switched away from Steam keys. It seems that from now on, all Steam redemptions will have to be done by linking your Steam account to your Humble page/account. This has been done for two reasons: To dissuade the rampant key sharing (or far worse, key selling) that's gone on since Humble started, and also to make key redemption in general easier. Now, if your Steam account is linked to your Humble account, key redemption for every bundle you buy is just a click away--no more do you have to copy keys and find the button in the Steam client. Full details are here.

Team 17!

Another week with some older games:

  • Worms Armageddon
  • Worms Blast
    • Normally $8
    • Soundtrack not included
  • Worms Ultimate Mayhem
    • Normally $15
    • DLC not included
  • Worms Pinball
    • Normally $8
  • Worms Crazy Golf
  • Superfrog HD
    • Normally $10
    • Available on Mac and Linux

And for beating $6:

All games are Steam and Windows-only unless noted otherwise. This sale will end on Thursday, November 7th, at 1 P.M. EST (probably).

Very good deal for the PWYW games--Superfrog HD just recently hit Steam. BTA is good for Worms Revolution from what I hear, Alien Breed is a little more so-so.

RE: The Humble Weekly Sale: Team 17

Next Humble Bundle be from WB Games and will feature Scribblenauts Unlimited. Rumor has it the Batman: Arkham games will make an appearance.

RE: The Humble WB Games Bundle! + Weekly Sale: Team 17

I got it today. Arkham City is taking forever to download, but I can't wait. The Humble Bundle is great.

RE: The Humble WB Games Bundle! + Weekly Sale: Team 17

So first, for the third time in a row, some general Humble news: Steam keys are now officially giftable! Sorta! At least for a little while!

Humble%20News%20Banner.png

There was much outcry from last week's Steam key change, in part because it required linking your Steam account to your Humble page, but mostly because it made "legitimate" key sharing much, much harder; people understood Humble's longstanding policy that everything contained in a bundle was for personal use and was not to be shared, but as with things like console emulation, among the blatant "I don't want to pay for these games" (individual key selling in this case) there were a good number of people doing it for pseudo-justifiable reasons (the most common situation seemingly being "I bought this bundle for one game/to support the bundle and I don't want the other games going to "waste").

Well good news! Humble has made a change directly aimed at those people: The system from last week that has you tie your Steam account to your Humble page is still in effect, but now, there's a little button to the right of the key that lets you remove the key from your bundle page in order to compartmentalize it in its own little gift URL. It's a nice way to address that key sharing crowd, and everyone for the most part seems to be satisfied. Note that is currently labeled as an experimental feature, and that Humble "hope to be able to continue this feature in the future". Full details: http://blog.humblebundle.com/post/66129939468/you-spoke-we-listened

But anyway, on with the bundle! I'd wager to call this the biggest AAA bundle yet, if only because the revenue from the Origin bundle was solely going to charity. As with Deep Silver Bundle this promotion is tying in to the release of a new game, Batman: Arkham Origins in this case. As such (and also like the Deep Silver Bundle), we have a few games that will appeal to everyone and a few games pulled from the back catalog to make this a true "bundle" of games:

The Humble WB Games Bundle!

And for beating the average, steadily rising from a very nice $4.53:

All games are Steam and Windows-only unless noted otherwise. No soundtracks are included this go around. PWYW buyers this week are set to receive next week's bonuses (there's nothing saying otherwise).

RE: The Humble WB Games Bundle! + Weekly Sale: Team 17

Best bundle since the EA bundle, imo. Scribblenauts is hilariously entertaining, and the Batman: Arkham games are two of my favorite games of all time. The first FEAR was great, it's a shame it wasn't added, but the other two are pretty good, I guess...

Haven't played LotR, so I can't give an opinion on that.

9/10, needs more Lego.

RE: The Humble WB Games Bundle! + Weekly Sale: Daedalic Entertainment

Tiny general change to Humble; DRM-free downloads are now marked as such on the main bundle page:

This week's Humble Weekly Sale is...

Daedalic Entertainment

The general air around these seems to be that they're fantastic point-and-click adventure games... if you know the developer's native German; the English localizations and voice actors appear to not be the best. Anyway:

  • Edna and Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes
  • A New Beginning - Final Cut
    • Normally $10
  • The Whispered World
  • The Chronicles of Shakespeare – Romeo and Juliet
    • Normally $10?
    • Not available on Steam
  • The Chronicles of Shakespeare – A Midsummer Night’s Dream
    • Normally $10
    • Not available on Steam
  • The documentary An Inconvenient Game
  • "[Heaps] of digital art for select games and printable art of your favorite Deponia characters"

And for beating $6:

  • Deponia
  • Journey of a Roach
    • Normally $15
  • The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav
    • Normally $20

All soundtracks are included. Games are available on Windows and Mac unless noted otherwise. This sale will end on Thursday, November 14th, 2013, at 2 P.M. EST.

RE: The Humble WB Games Bundle (bonuses added)! + Weekly Sale: bitComposer Games

Whoo, I'm a little late on all this. Lots of stuff has happened, but first, new OP! As this thread has gone on I've been thinking that it's a bit isolating for newcomers; I talk in these posts as if everyone follows every single post, which is kinda alright if someone can still glean what I'm talking about, but that is a bit hard to do when the OP lists my original HIB4 post has an introduction to Humble Bundle. So much has happened since then! So, yeah. Sorry if it's a bit wordy, I can't really do much else without serious serious planning. :X On to the news:

Humble%20News%20Banner.png

Starting with the small: So yeah, bonuses in WB Games Bundle were not given to PWYW purchasers after all. I was a little worried about saying as much last week, but I just couldn't find anything saying otherwise. Other people seemed a little confused, too, and went to Twitter to ask @humblesupport what the deal is. With that, we now have an official response on the BTA bonuses thing:

https://twitter.com/humblesupport/status/401116576994164736

@humblesuppot said:
@meathat said:
@humblesupport said:
@meathat said:
@humblesupport mine has not is this a problem or is it down to wb games I'm not upset just curious
@meathat Hey there, in order to get the bonus games you need to BTA. Sorry for the confusion!
@humblesupport will this be the case in the future or this bundle in particular
@meathat This is applied to all future bundles!

And that, it seems, is that. I've responded, asking if this is a definite thing, what with HIB9 having this thing and Mobile Bundle 2 not, but this seems to be it.

Next: Eurogamer recently did a piece on Humble Bundle with stuff from John Graham, co-founder and COO of Humble Bundle (and the main voice in the videos). It's a nice read about the story of Humble, but perhaps the most interesting bit for adamant Bundlers is this:

Eurogamer said:
"We do believe in treating people well, and empowering them, and trusting them, and I don't think we could ever lose or deviate from that without imploding the whole company."

That's not to say the company won't be trying new things. Humble Bundle was built on experimentation, and, as indie games continue to grow in popularity, Graham is always thinking where that might take them, perhaps even onto consoles.

"Yeah, certainly," he says of the possibility. "What it comes down to is that where there's valuable digital content, Humble Bundle could be useful. One thing you'll find in any eco-system is that it'll only be able to promote so much awesome content at a time. I think there's always an opportunity to celebrate the stuff that might not be on the front page anymore. For me that's more of an opportunity on the console side."

:O

And last but certainly not least: The Humble Store!

So that's a thing now! Over the past year or so, Humble's been building on the Humble Widget as a way for developers to sell their games directly to their customers using Humble's well-built architecture. You put in your email address, select if the purchase is a gift, choose to give extra money to the developer (if they allow it), and check out with PayPal or Amazon. See Braid and Anodyne for examples. The email you get gives you a standard Humble URL, with standard DRM-free downloads (both direct and through BitTorrent) and applicable Steam keys. Heck, Anodyne's Widget even used to include Desura keys, something Humble hasn't offered in bundles since late 2011.

So yeah, as developers are setting up their game for sale using the Widget, they now have an additional option "Please include in Humble Store". What does this do? Well, since I'm not a developer I couldn't tell you specifics, but presumably some magic would be done and that game would eventually show up here: https://www.humblebundle.com/store

  • That is the new Humble Store. It's got a fancy cart system with zooming pictures and animations galore.
  • Each game listed has icons showing what platforms they support, whether they are redeemable on Steam, and whether they're DRM-free (I guess that's why Humble debuted that icon last week!).
  • Soundtracks do not seem to be present at this time, unfortunately.
  • Charity is still being supported, with a flat 10% of all purchases being divided up equally among five.
  • Here's the fun part: In the style of seasonal Steam sales, Humble is currently doing a Debut Sale! Each day at 2 P.M. EST for an unknown period of days, a set of games and discounts on those games are added to the store. These discounts range from 33% off's on new-ish titles to 85% off on the venerable Alan Wake franchise or 0% in Batman's case. The games will stay there for the foreseeable future, as this is a store, but the discounts will expire the next day at 2 P.M. EST.
  • Some of the games currently on the store are rather... interesting. Guild Wars 2, because why not?
  • This store has introduced Humble's first-ever regional restrictions (well, aside from the toned down content in certain games in Germany, but that was more of a Steam thing): Guild Wars 2 and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon are only available in North America, unfortunately.
  • Speaking of Blood Dragon, I believe that marks Ubisoft's first partnership with Humble. Not their first partnership with indie bundles in general, mind you, that honor would go to Groupees with their ongoing BeMine X bundle that includes the original Call of Juarez.
  • So, do you happen to remember a few months back when I said that the Humble Weekly Sale seemed to be Humble's answer to IndieGameStand, a site that offers one game on a PWYW sale every four days? Well yeah, some things have changed since then; the Weekly Sale has expanded beyond including just one game. But something along those lines has seemed to happen again: About a month or so ago, IndieGameStand launched their own store, with their own discounts. So, yeah, Humble seems to have answered IGS once again. :X

And that's about it for the Store. Since the deals aren't PWYW and therefore aren't extraordinarily better than what you'd find on Steam (and since Humble lists MSRPs, which is like, half my job :p), I'm not going to cover it in-depth here, though I will mention if any other themed sales like this happen again ("Winter sale", "Valentine's Day sale", "St. Patrick's sale"? *shrug*).

With all that out of the way, let's get to the WB Games Bundle's bonuses! I said last week that these should be given out to early PWYW purchasers, but I was unfortunately wrong. Ah, well. These bonuses showed up on Tuesday for a brief second before being delayed a day to Wednesday, possibly to include helpful "Check out <game> on the Humble Store!" links. :p

  • F.E.A.R.
  • Batman: Arkham Origins - New Millennium Skins Pack
    • No, the brand-new $50 base game is not included in the bundle. :p But you can buy it on the Humble Store, if you wish.
    • Normally $5
  • Guardians of Middle-earth
    • This is apparently a bad port of a middling console game. Ah, well, bonuses are bonuses!
    • Normally $20
    • Includes Smaug’s Treasure DLC
      • Normally $10
    • Review by CGRUndertow
    • Let's Look At by NorthernLion
    • Quick Look by GiantBomb
      • Note that these videos are of the console version
  • Lord of the Rings Online: Steely Dawn Starter Pack
    • Normally $20
    • This is a starter pack for a free-to-play MMO that is available on Mac
    • Steam keys "will be available soon"
  • Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection
    • :D Includes Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
    • Normally $10
    • Review by CGRUndertow
  • Gotham City Impostors Professional Kit

The average is now at $4.71. All games are Steam and Windows-only unless noted otherwise (Lord of the Rings Online). No soundtracks are included. This bundle will end on Tuesday, November 19th, 2013, at 2 P.M. EST.

This week's Humble Weekly Sale is...

bitComposer Games

One of the nichier offers Humble has done, with only :)P) 16k units sold so far. Still, people seem to like it, especially Expeditions: Conquistador:

  • Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers
    • Normally $20
    • Available on Mac and Linux
  • Galaxy on Fire 2: Full HD
    • Normally $20
  • Thunder Wolves
  • Jagged Alliance: Classics
    • Normally $13
    • Includes Jagged Alliance, Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games, Jagged Alliance 2 and Jagged Alliance 2: Unfinished Business
    • Not available on Steam

And for beating $6:

  • Jagged Alliance: Crossfire
    • Normally $20
    • Soundtrack included
  • Expeditions: Conquistador
    • Normally $20
    • Available on Mac and Linux
    • Soundtrack included
      • Normally ~$10

The video's neat. This sale ends on Thursday, November 21st, 2013, at 2 P.M. EST.

RE: The Humble Mobile Bundle 3 + Weekly Sale: Zen Studios

The Debut Sale in the Humble Store is still going, now on Day 11. There was a 90% off deal on Audiosurf, not much else to really really speak of. But yeah, Ubisoft is defintely working with Humble: Splinter Cell: Blacklist was a headlining 50% off deal, and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was added recently. We could very well see a bundle in the coming months.

The Humble Mobile Bundle 3

  • EPOCH
    • Normally $2.83?
    • Soundtrack not included
  • rymdkapsel
    • Normally $4
    • Soundtrack normally ~$1.35
  • Spelltower
    • Normally $2
    • Soundtrack not included
  • Swordigo
    • Normally $3
    • This is it's Android debut

And for beating the average, somewhat rapidly rising from a semi-high $5.14:

  • Ridiculous Fishing: A Tale of Redemption
    • Normally $3
    • This is its Android debut.
  • Kingdom Rush
    • Normally $2
    • Soundtrack is normally $2.30
    • The normal game apparently has in-app purchases, but this special version apparently includes them as unlockables. That technically means that its original price is far higher than $2.

Without bonuses for PWYW buyers this is a little less appetizing for me than past bundles, but I'd assume I'm in the minority. Soundtracks are included unless noted otherwise.

The week's Humble Weekly Sale is...

Zen Studios

These are all paid-for pinball tables in Zen Studios's PC pinball platform, Pinball FX2: http://store.steampowered.com/app/226980/ The platform itself is free and comes with a table along with demos for all purchasable tables, so I suppose it could be construed as the "demo on Steam" for all the items here:

  • Core Pack
    • Normally $10
  • Zen Classics Pack
    • Normally $10
  • Earth Defense Table
    • Normally $3
  • Paranormal Table
    • Normally $3
  • Epic Quest Table
    • Normally $3

And for beating $6:

  • Marvel Pinball Original Pack
    • Normally $10
  • Star Wars Pack
    • Normally $10
  • Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles
    • Normally $10

All items are Windows and Steam-only. This bundle ends on Thursday, November 28th, 2013, (Thanksgiving for those in the US) at 2 P.M. EST.

RE: The Humble Mobile Bundle 3 (bonuses) + Weekly Sale: "Repeats of Indie Bundles"

So the Debut Sale in the Humble Store ended a little while ago. After there was a 2 or 3 day period where nothing was on sale, and then yesterday, presumably to coincide with the start of the Steam Autumn/Spring Sale, BANG, a Thanksgiving sale appeared. 15 titles discounted to varying degrees for 48 hours. Seems nice.

Bonuses for Mobile Bundle 3! Not enough to make me buy it, but sorta neat stuff either way:

  • Hundreds
    • Normally $5
    • Soundtrack included, normally ~$9.50?
  • Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor
    • Normally $2
    • Included slightly as a promotion of the upcoming sequel, Spider: Rite of the Shrouded Moon.
    • Soundtrack included
    • Same developer as Waking Mars, that non-Steam game in HBA3 that got Greenlit.
  • Desert Bus

This bundle will end on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013, at 2 P.M. EST.

This week's Humble Weekly Sale is...

...an unnamed batch of old Indie Bundle games?

Really odd one this week; there's no name! This is simply referred to as "The Humble Weekly Sale". Some are speculating that Humble is taking it easy while the Steam sale is going on. I'd say it has something to do with Thanksgiving; sales probably won't be as good during this time, so selling a bunch of previously sold and popular stuff kinda makes sense. Come to think of it, most previous Weekly Sales were always "The Humble Weekly Sale, featuring <blank>". Could this week's sale simply be an example of a Humble Weekly Sale with no feature? I'm waiting a bit on reports to come out on what the Sale is listed as on the Humble Account page, but anyway, here are the games!:

  • Jamestown
  • Closure
    • Normally $10
    • Previously available in HIB7
    • WTF Is... by TotalBiscuit
    • Soundtrack normally $8
  • Space Pirates and Zombies (S.P.A.Z.)
  • Shatter
    • Normally $10
    • Previously available in HIB6
    • WTF Is... by TotalBiscuit
    • Soundtrack normally sold for $3

And for beating $6:

  • Dungeon Defenders Collection
    • Normally $50
    • Includes most DLC
    • Demo on Steam
    • Includes Android version in the form of Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave (which doesn't seem to be available to buy on the Play store at all)
    • Previously available in HIB7
    • Parts one and two of a WTF Is... by TotalBiscuit
  • Defense Grid "Gold"

There's not much here for the adamant bundler, but for anyone new, this is a great offer, practically an Indie bundle.

All games run on Windows, Mac, and Linux (except Defense Grid), all games have DRM-free versions, and all soundtracks are included; this is practically an Indie bundle! This sale will end on Thursday, December 5th, 2013, at 2 P.M. EST.

RE: The Humble Jumbo Bundle! + Weekly Sale: Multimedia Fusion 2 (and games)

Lotsa lotsa stuff this week! We'll go chronologically, so first... a brief bit of Store news! The Thanksgiving sale has been over for a few days with nothing currently in its place, but now the Store offers individual discounts, kinda. In the past developers using the Humble Widget would put their games on sale, and now it seems those sales are synced to the Store, as they should be. Current discounts include 75% off Papa & Yo, 60% off FEZ, and 66% off Retro City Rampage.

Er, also, I just noticed that Humble's support page is undergoing a revamp. So that's cool.

Next, the Yogscast charity event thing! Humble hasn't really said anything about this themselves, but eh, it's on humblebundle.com, so I'll cover it.

Yogscast's Dwarven Dairy Drive -- Presented by Humble Bundle

For the past few years The Yogscast have been holding charity streams, where they do stuff and people donate to charities. This year they're doing another one, but with the addition of "donation gifts" in the form of games:

$5 or more:

  • Heart of Gold item in Team Fortress 2
    • Like many TF2 items, it's purely aesthetic.
    • It's exclusive to this promotion. Not tradeable.
  • The ability to leave The Yogscast a message on their stream

$25 or more:

All games are Windows and Steam-only unless noted otherwise. This promotion is actually lasting quite a while, and will end on Wednesday, January 1st, 2014 (holy whoa, 2014?) at 3 A.M. EST. The URL is https://www.humblebundle.com/yogscast

  • All proceeds go to charity, as you might expect. The charities are Oxfam, SpecialEffect, Little People UK, GamesAid, and War Child.
  • The main focus of the promotion is donating to charity. The games are supposed to be thought of as a donation gift.
  • Holy precedent Batman! Not only has Valve added the Heart of Gold item to TF2, they've made it untradeable and have given what I'd think are a ton of keys to Humble! Like, Valve has probably helped Humble a lot in the past to figure out the logistics of redeeming games on Steam, but this marks their first real collaboration.
  • And Sega! That's another AAA publisher, bundled (even it the bundle is $25 :p).

Next, the new bundle! And holy wow is it a good'un:

The Humble Jumbo Bundle

Totally new class of bundle! Here are the games:

  • Natural Selection 2
    • Normally $25
    • Available on Linux
    • Soundtrack normally $9
    • This was in a 90% off Flash sale on Steam like a day before the bundle! Seems to have been down to unforseen circumstances; this bundle was supposed to launch a month or so ago.
    • Interestingly Natural Selection 2 can be considered part of a proto-Humble Bundle; there was a promotion where you could pre-order both it and Wolfire's game (the company Humble branched off of) Overgrowth for a total reduced price. Fun.
  • Sanctum 2
  • Magicka
    • Normally $10
    • Demo on Steam
    • WTF Is... by TotalBiscuit
    • In a rare move by Paradox some DLC is included!
      • Magicka: Vietnam
        • Normally $5
        • Of Magicka's DLCs this is one that seems to come recommended a lot
      • Dungeons and Daemons
        • Normally $4

And for beating the average, oozing upwards from a very reasonable $4.15:

  • Orcs Must Die! 2: Complete Pack
  • Garry's Mod
    • !
    • Normally $10
    • Available on Mac and Linux
    • No soundtrack included

    • Garry's Mod is, as the name might suggest, a mod, for the Source engine specifically. When you download the game a bunch of Half-Life 2 assets are included so you can jump right into sandboxing, and you can download stuff from the Steam Workshop, but if you want to play popular Garry's Mod games like Trouble in Terrorist Town, you'll probably need additional assets from Counter-Strike: Source, which requires you to own the game (normally $10)... However, recently, a workaround has been found and used by many. Word of warning, though it's totally legal (to the utter best of anyone's knowledge), it's also totally unofficial, so if you want to stick to official-ly things, buy CS: Source. Else: The process involves downloading a Steam command-line tool meant to be used on servers, and then downloading the entirety of CS: Source. Because you don't own the game on Steam you won't actually be able to play the downloaded copy, but you will be able to mess around with the files, which is all you need to do. A bit of moving here, a bit of extracting there, and presto, you have CS: Source assets in Garry's Mod. I tested this myself earlier on Windows, but there's also a Linux download available. Mac users will either have to resort to buying CS: Source or using a PC with Windows or Linux to download the files, after which they can be moved over. Here's the link to the tutorial I used: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=157993776#105533
  • Serious Sam 3: BFE
    • Normally $40
    • Available on Mac and Linux
    • DLC not included
    • WTF Is... by TotalBiscuit
  • Next week's bonuses!

All soundtracks are included (except Garry's Mod, which doesn't have one). Games are Windows and Steam-only unless mentioned otherwise.

I kind of regret trying to smoosh all this stuff into one post. I would have liked to give the Jumbo Bundle it's own post. Ah, next time.

This week's Humble Weekly Sale is...

Multimedia Fusion 2 (plus a bunch of games created with it)

Humble's branched off into software! Game-making software, sure, but that counts as a new category!

  • Multimedia Fusion 2
    • This is a piece of software used to make games. A bunch of the games people have made with it are included in the bundle, but so is the software itself!
    • Normally $119
    • Note that it is not the Developer version, which has a few more things.
    • Not available on Steam, but it has been Greenlit, so it could be soon.
    • Not listed as DRM-free, probably because there's some sort of licensing process.
  • Vincere Totus Astrum
    • Normally $2 (on iOS)
    • Not available on Steam
  • Oddplanet
    • Normally $5
    • Not available on Steam (but it has been Greenlit)
  • Splotches
    • Normally $5
    • Not available on Steam
  • Faerie Solitaire
    • Normally $10
    • Available on Mac
    • Soundtrack normally $7
    • Definitely the highlight of the PWYW level!
  • MANOS: The Hands of Fate
    • Normally $1
    • Available on Android
    • Not available on Steam
    • Soundtrack not included
    • Same dev as AVGN Adventures!
  • Pitiri 1977
    • Normally $6
    • Not available on Steam (but it has been Greenlit)

And for beating $6:

All soundtracks are included (except for MANOS). All games are Windows-only unless noted otherwise. This sale will end on Thursday, December 12th, 2013, at 2 P.M. EST.

RE: The Humble Jumbo Bundle (bonuses)! + Weekly Sale: ACE Team, Atlus Games, and Tripwire Interactive

Bonuses for Jumbo Bundle!

All games are Steam and Windows-only unless noted otherwise. This bundle will end on Tuesday, December 17th, 2013, at 2 P.M. EST.

This week's Humble Weekly Sale is...

One game from ACE Team, two games from both ACE Team and ATLUS Games, and three games from Tripwire Interactive

An odd but decent mix this week:

And for beating $6:

All soundtracks are included, except for Dwarfs!?'s. All games are Steam and Windows-only unless noted otherwise. This sale will end on Thursday, December 19th, 2013, at 2 P.M. EST.

RE: Humble Bundle: PC and Android 8! + Weekly Sale: ACE Team, Atlus Games, and Tripwire Interactive

I was all geared up to post about the wonders of Indie 10 today, but on the one day a specific Humble Bundle is practically guaranteed, boom, HBA8. It's a good bundle, but it was a little jarring, haha:

Humble Bundle: PC and Android 8

  • Little Inferno
  • Gemini Rue
    • Normally $10
    • Soundtrack normally $9
  • AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome
    • Normally $10
    • Review by CGR Undertow
    • The Android version is AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! (Force = Mass x Acceleration), normally $4. I think the basic distinction are the gyro controls in this version.
    • Soundtrack not included
  • Jack Lumber
    • Normally $7.50 (odd to see a $x.50 on the US Steam Store)
    • Let's Look At by NorthernLion

And for beating the average, sort-of-rising-but-sort-of-staying at a rather reasonable $4.02:

  • Hero Academy Gold Pack
    • Normally $17
    • It's free-to-play on Android. The dev makes their money there from in-app purchases, many if not all of which are included in this bundle.
    • It's a Ticket to Ride sort of situation: The developer has their own account system, which you use when you play the game. This account holds all the information about your bought DLCs.
    • Steam users get the DLC tied to their developer's account upon Steam key redemption.
    • DRM-free and Android users will follow these directions and use the Hero Academy Gold Pack Content Code included on their bundle page to tie the DLC to their developer's account.
    • People who first played the game on Steam can use their developer's account just fine in the other versions, and vice versa.
    • Humble didn't make this entirely clear in the wording on the store page. I almost thought the Android version was worthless on its own because DLC redemption had to go through Steam first. :p
    • Because of this DLC situation, thw DLC is technically not DRM-free.
    • Oh, and WTF Is... by TotalBiscuit
    • Soundtrack not included
  • Anomaly 2

Bonuses should arrive on Tuesday, December 24th, 2013, at 2 P.M. EST.

So the Android bundle undergo yet another rename! It actually debuted in HBA7 on the account page. Hopefully it clears things up for those confused about what comes in these bundles.

I suppose a full-fledged Indie right after the jumbo Jumbo Bundle is a little bit much to ask for, and a HBA with Mac and Linux and DRM-free goodness is definitely the next best thing.

The Humble Store: Winter Sale

New deals every 24 hours for the next two weeks, ending on Tuesday, December 31st, 2013, at 2 P.M. EST.

RE: Humble Bundle: PC and Android 8! + Weekly Sale: Puppy Games

This week's Humble Weekly Sale is...

Puppy Games!

The bundle itself is pretty good, but there's a bit of a twist this week...

  • Ultratron
    • Normally $10
    • Soundtrack included, normally ~$7
  • Droid Assault
  • Revenge of the Titans
  • Titan Attacks!
  • Source code for all games if total payments goes above $150,000.

And for beating-the-average, rising steadily from a reasonable $3.30:

  • Steam keys. Yes, you have to BTA to get Steam keys this time.

All games are available on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Steam keys are only included at the BTA level. This bundle will end on Thursday, December 26th, 2013, at 2 P.M. EST.

  • Generally, this whole package is sold as the Ultrabundle on Steam, normally going for $25.
  • The Steam Holiday Sale started today. All of these titles are down 80%, including the Ultrabundle which is down to $5. It wouldn't have made sense for this bundle to have a $6 option when practically everything in it is presently available on Steam for less.
  • So yeah, first use in a while of the BTA tier in a Weekly Sale.
  • Bit interesting that Steam keys are now a selling-point of BTA. It makes sense marketing-wise, but Humble has never split Steam keys from games in their bundles, unless you count the $1 minimum split of HIB4. Steam keys have always been a kind of guaranteed thing as far as Humble Bundles are concerned. It'll be interesting to see where things go from here. I'd imagine we won't be seeing any Weeklies that have both a BTA Steam keys tier and a $6 more-games tier--that'd just be too complicated!

RE: Humble Bundle: PC and Android 8! + Weekly Sale: Puppy Games

I wanted to post something today, so why not the decent HBA8 bonuses!

  • Solar 2
  • Bad Hotel
    • Normally $5
  • The Bard's Tale
    • Normally $10
    • Previously in The Humble Bundle with Android 7 as a BTA game.

All games are available on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and Steam. No soundtracks are included. This bundle will end on Thursday, December 31st, 2013, at 2 P.M. EST. Maybe we'll have a surprise end-of-the-year Indie then? Maybe? Maybe? It'd the greatest string of bundles ever. :D

RE: The Humble Weekly Sale: Amanita & Friends

No Bundle this week, though that was to be expected seeing how Tuesday was New Year's Eve. But Humble did post this image to Instagram with the text "Soon. #xmarksthespot":

39758f0c727711e3b22f129bf1380c63_8.jpg

...and then this image a few hours ago with the text "1.7.14 #x":

7afe6204740d11e3a0f30e2ec771c42e_8.jpg

Not counting this missed week, this should officially become the greatest string of bundles ever! Jumbo, Android 8, Indie X? Whoa! Sure there was Deep Silver, Origin, and Indie 9, but Comedy Bundle was sandwiched in there, so that doesn't count! :p

Man, Instagram certainly makes you hunt for their image links.

This week's Humble Weekly Sale is...

Amanita Design, and Friends!

This is a chunk of the Botanicula Debut bundle smashed together with some other adventure-y/paper-y art games:

And for beating $6:

  • Shelter
    • Normally $10
    • Not available on Linux
    • NerdCubed Plays...
    • Also included is The Circle, a freely available storybook
  • Botanicula
    • Normally $10
    • WTF Is...by TotalBiscuit
    • Review by CGR Undertow
    • Soundtrack normally ~$7
    • Also included is an artbook and map. You might be able to find these elsewhere, but Humble seems to be the easiest place to get them from.

All games are available on Windows, Mac, and Linux (save Shelter on Linux), and all soundtracks are included save Windosill's. This bundle will end on Thursday, January 9th, 2013, at 2 P.M. EST. And by then we'll have HIBX! :D Unless Humble's trolling and it's an OS X-exclusive bundle...
